07/08/2026: Incredible restaurant, very kind and pleasant staff, excellent food, not very expensive for what it is. I highly recommend it. We paid €70 for 3 people, including desserts, main courses, and a bottle of wine.

10/08/2026: The quality of their dishes deserves 5 stars, no doubt about it. But making people wait over an hour between two courses is unacceptable. The excuse of "we were caught off guard by the high number of reservations," with only half the tables occupied, is embarrassing. If they'd simply said they'd missed the order, it would have been better. Another flaw: the room-temperature drinks... After the owner's response, I'm downgrading my review to 2 stars and want to address each point: 1. Did you find a seat? We had reservations! 2. Was the place full? Half the tables were empty. 3. The watered-down drink with ice was definitely not acceptable. 4. You could have refused the €30 voucher if it had expired (we didn't force you to accept it). 5. €44 plus €30 in vouchers equals €74. Making people wait over an hour between two courses... 6. We're not hard to please, but we're used to dining in restaurants and accommodations. When we encounter mediocrity, we point it out and praise those who do their job with professionalism and quality. You made the mistake! Don't play the victim, because you're not one at all. 06/08/2026: What an incredible experience! We had dinner twice during our short stay. Lugiano’s service is outstanding, the way he recommends and puts the single parts together! I have never experienced this before. To be honest, I‘ve been to many very good restaurants in my life. The food is incredible! What a chef! I love his ideas, his creations. Thank you so much! Don‘t forget to take a dolce! They are just WOW, the way they taste, the way they look. The lady behind is an artist. The whole crew forms a wonderful team. You can feel it any moment. Congratulations! I can‘t wait to come back. What a pity that I live in Switzerland, too far away to be there more often. Enjoy your stay at Papupaio!

01/08/2026: Family dinner at the port of Arenzano. A charming setting, the food still needs to be refined, but the composition and authenticity of the flavors are beyond delicious! Light, dry fried food and homemade ice cream are a plus! A truly memorable mention, however, goes to all the staff: smiling, ready, and attentive, even to the little ones! Well done!

09/07/2026: The atmosphere was welcoming and breezy, perfect on a hot day. Excellent quality mussels with a delicious white sauce. The fresh sea bream with pine nuts, olives, potatoes, and cherry tomatoes was delicious. To finish, the millefeuille pastry was deconstructed and crumbled with apples. Nothing to complain about, both were delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant.

23/07/2026: Excellent value, the pizzas are good and arrive quickly, the seafood menu is extensive, and the house wine is excellent. The panoramic view of Arenzano is an added bonus, although the location isn't particularly convenient due to the rough roads...luckily, the parking lot is quite large.

20/04/2026: Two of us without a reservation were seated without any problems. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and professional. The food was excellent. The mussels with pepper, tagliolini with clams, and tuna tataki were out of this world, the best I've ever had. Not to mention the desserts, tiramisu and sorbet, were fantastic. The sea view was obscured by umbrellas, but beautiful nonetheless. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

11/04/2026: I'd like to, but I can't. The quality of the fish is undeniable, but almost all the dishes were tasteless and lacking in flavor. I understand the desire to cook light and delicately, but I don't understand the goal of bringing such fresh fish to the table without wanting to enhance its characteristics. A little garlic, herbs, and temperature variations...it's a real shame, because you could do so much more with that fish...we still had a good time.

22/03/2026: Excellent location near the parking lot, the restaurant has a few indoor tables but a lovely, well-heated veranda. Fortunately, the menu doesn't include many dishes. The fish, for me, living in Novara, is an absolute discovery. No farmed sea bass or sea bream like you'd find elsewhere. All freshly caught fish with names I'm unfamiliar with, with delicate, flavorful flesh. I hope to return soon, because I ate simple, delicious dishes.

14/06/2026: Tried the whole wheat pizza for the first time today, very good. The dough was soft and easy to digest. Excellent service and very friendly staff.

05/06/2026: The fact that you can order pizza via the app, select the time and they will prepare it for you with great precision is something fantastic, the "Parodi" pizza is delicious. Recommended

15/07/2026: It's a shame, for such good food and a beautiful little village, the staff are so unfriendly that they put you off eating. 😞😞 We dine there every year. This evening we made a reservation and were disappointed by the staff's rudeness... we left and will never return!

08/06/2026: We stumbled upon this delightful hotel almost by chance. It's dated but has modern, unique rooms! The welcome and parking were commendable, and the owners were particularly friendly. The breakfast was varied and tasty, including delicious homemade products made by the owner. Highly recommended!

31/05/2026: Pizza dough and wood-fired oven, great. I had a Bisboccia, lots of ingredients (bacon, sausage, egg), all incredibly flavorless! Fast and efficient service, even though the place was more than full.

28/05/2026: We spent a lovely evening at this pizzeria: the place is very beautiful and well-kept, with a pleasant atmosphere. The pizzas were good and made with quality ingredients, but unfortunately they were a bit overcooked, with several burned parts that detracted from the flavor. Overall, a positive experience, but with more attention to the cooking process, it would have been truly excellent.
