21/03/2024: I went to eat at Alfredo's on Sunday because they told me it was one of the best in Recco but it was a disappointment. Immediately the waitress at the table was kind and professional, we arrived at 12.30, therefore at an off-peak time, but there were already around thirty people in the place, all with dishes already on the table (hell they had the legs under the table since before midday compliments to the hunger like a wolf)!!!!. We sit down and before ordering, given that in another place in Recco they had served me cold cheese focaccia and 4 slices per portion for 15 euros, I ask how many slices are per portion and that it is served hot. I am assured that there are 6 slices per portion. I then order 2 focaccias from Recco and a local menu for 25 euros which includes a cuculli appetizer (4 arrive, while if you order them separately 6/8 arrive for 4 euros ), trofie with pesto (good but be careful it is a very small portion for children), the focaccia di Recco (I ask how it will be served and they assure me that it will be as already served at other tables or in a round shape with the logo of the consortium of focaccia di Recco) and a dessert (the only thing portioned in correct quantities and not small). After half an hour the waitress warns me that, even with the accumulation of other orders, I will have to wait a bit (well I say: no problem as long as it is good and hot). After approx. an hour (I entered the restaurant at 12.30 but will only leave at 2.30!!! approx.) a tray arrives with 14 slices of focaccia for three people. I would like to point out that I was expecting the tray with 12 slices and apart from a round Recco focaccia for my son... after a bit of insistence they finally (the waitress has to go to the kitchen twice) decide to make me one as per the menu ( see photo) and a very pale RECCO arrives (perhaps she was ashamed of the restaurant's service). Let me start by saying that the table lacked salt and grated cheese which I had to ask for and obtain with a bit of effort....... The focaccia served, in my humble opinion, is much better in Genoa at the La FUNICOLARE restaurant! !!! Compliments for the speed of service and the quality and quantity of dishes served in approx. 2 hours of waiting. Polite and composed only for the first hour. RESPONSE TO ALFREDO: thank you for your response and for expressing your point of view. Below I add some photos to prove what was said in my review: - the cuculli are in the bill in my hands (the ones ordered as a starter) and intending to leave an excellent review, given what they had told me about your restaurant, we combined in a single dish those of the single portion at 4 euros and those included in the Your menu. There could be an error and that's not why my review was negative; - it is perhaps true that the focaccia should not be counted in slices but I will show you the tray presented to us for three people and I assure you that I did not consider the 14 slices for three people (the small ones were underneath) adequate but it is my opinion . It would be better to serve it by weight so you wouldn't go wrong (when you order a pizza you know what you'll get, but in Recco everyone does as they want there is too much discretion over the portions). I noticed an often noticeable difference between one service and another for the same portions ordered. It's always better, in my opinion, to put in an extra slice than to go by eye when the place is full; - on the 25 euro menu it would be enough to specify (the waiter verbally?) that the portions are smaller or different compared to the orders placed individually. I assure you that the ones served on my sheet were -in fact- from CHILDREN'S MENU. I agree with you about the time and I apologize. I checked the receipt for the paid parking, next to your place, and it appears that I arrived at your place at 12.55. And finally: always have salt on the tables and, if necessary, grated cheese. I found the salt sachets not very comfortable and if handled (fiddling with them) they leave your fingers painted blue (seeing is believing).

24/09/2023: Hotel with amazing view! We booked only one night and couldn’t experience everything this hotel can provide. The only issue is that it’s near train station and it can be noisy until 23:00 and building is a little bit old.

23/03/2024: for the first time in Recco.... hoping to eat a good cheese focaccia I found disappointment..... shame non-existent service...

01/03/2024: A place with a traditional flavour. Tasty, light pizza with an assortment of flavors. Friendly staff. I felt good. To try.

02/04/2024: While taking a walk along the Recco seafront you can enjoy delicious focaccias, rice cakes like grandma's, "old-fashioned" fillings and delicious sweets. All overlooking the sea and exchanging a few chats with the managers of the place. Young, pleasant staff and everyone really welcoming and friendly. After discovering this place by the sea we return whenever we can! Other notable advantages: non-stop cooking, so even if you arrive in the late afternoon you can eat or have a snack and... cat friendly! We came with Priscilla and were greeted in one of the kindest ways we have ever experienced. Thanks to everyone! Highly recommended!

01/04/2024: I remembered better... but memories from many years ago. However friendly, renovated place, slightly greasy focaccias. Biagio's shack still remains.

09/03/2024: Ristorante ottimo per passare una domenica pranzo in compagnia!! La location è mozzafiato, cibo genuino e locale pulito. Ottimo servizio!

04/01/2024: Nuovamente tornato in questo locale dopo diversi anni, ed il buon ricordo che ne avevo è stato ampiamente confermato. Vengono proposte alcune formule a menù con assaggi di piatti tipici liguri. Questa volta si è optato per antipasti misti (panissa, focaccine al formaggio, la capponada), ed un tris di primi (come le picagge al pesto, ed i pansoti in salsa di noci, tagliatelle alla boscaiola), ed un dolce (ottima bavarese alle pesche). Una mezza bottiglia di rosso locale. La qualità dei piatti è molto buona, rimanendo sempre nell'ambito della cucina casereccia / trattoria. Porzioni adeguate per soddisfare anche i palati più voraci. Servizio molto cortese. Locale molto grazioso, specie per la parte dove è presente la veranda da cui si gode di un'ottima vista sul golfo di Recco. Un plus per l'accesso con il cane. Conto giustissimo (quasi 60 € per due persone). Uno di quei posti da tenere a mente, e che quando si vuol andare sul sicuro, non tradisce le aspettative.
