11/05/2025: Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.

06/07/2025: A little while ago we ordered two pizzas and a supplì with Glovo. One of the two pizzas was completely wrong, we called the pizzeria asking for the same pizza ordered, which arrived wrong. Their response was to choose another pizza because the toppings of the one we had ordered were finished. I deduce that they had also finished 10 minutes before when I had ordered, so they decided independently which pizza to send me. We asked to close the order so that we could make a refund, no one closed the order for us so as to avoid a refund. After several phone calls to ask for the closure of our order they informed us that the pizzeria has closed (now 10:15 pm). We will definitely not order again, rude and imprecise.

16/08/2025: Subpar food at best, Pizza crust was crispy on the outside but soggy in the middle. The toppings were also quite soggy

19/06/2025: The staff was incredible and very kind. The problem was the food. I was in a hurry to get some food so I popped in to the closest take away spot. I wish I didn't. I got the pasta and they proceeded to take out a cold pasta dish that looked disgusting and probably was sitting there for hours. And put it in a microwave. I took a bite and It was chewy, hard and cold. I wish I read the reviews.

30/07/2025: Sehr netter Empfang, guter Wein und super cool eingerichtet. Ich war mit meiner Tochter vor einem Konzert im Olimpico Stadio und wir waren froh noch vor dem Konzert erwas gegessen zu haben❤️

07/07/2025: OUTSIDE THEY MUST WRITE "BULGARIAN" YESTERDAY TWO CUTTING BOARDS (WITH 4 slices of bread and tomato, two rustici and something else, without cold cuts or cheeses) two sandwiches for reinforcement (otherwise the so-called cutting boards were ridiculous) crick crock crisps, peanuts, two draft beers, two coke zero, two Crodino, 76 euros gentlemen, I repeat 76 euros! SCANDALOUS to say the least and they are clearly taking advantage of it because all around there is a cosmic void and the place opposite opens randomly when the shows start and therefore you are forced to go to them! AIR CONDITIONING ACCORDING TO THOSE WHO FREQUENT THERE HAS BEEN BREAKFAST FOR 3 YEARS! INSIDE IT FELT LIKE BEING IN SOUTH AFRICA

15/08/2025: A very mixed experience when it came to paying. To my great surprise, I realized we were treated like tourists. A very high bill. I ordered the Chateaubriant meat (counted as 2 even though I had only ordered one), served without a side dish. A salad was added for €12. The result was a bill of €130 for 2. So, one word to describe this restaurant: THEFT... On a positive note, however: the meat was VERY good. That's the least I could say.

30/06/2025: I stopped here once before Castel Sant’Angelo, on Via della Conciliazione. The coffee was okay, probably because they use Illy brand. I had one espresso and one orange juice al banco (no table service), and they charged me €6.90. I still don’t understand how that was calculated. The orange juice wasn’t fresh and the glass was only 2/3 full. But the worst part was the attitude of the two baristas – no hello, no “please”, just a very rude and arrogant way of dealing with people. I’ve honestly never seen a place with so many bad reviews. That made me feel like my experience wasn’t just a one-time thing. Seems like most people are unhappy with the quality and service. The location is amazing, but sadly, like many places near tourist landmarks, they don’t care about quality or customer experience. It feels more like a tourist trap.

14/06/2025: Ordered 1 bruschetta that didn’t have a price, got 2 instead (and charged) then got charged for 2 prossuito and cheese and spent $90 on this crap. The waiter insisted on a tip ina country that doesn’t require tips and got upset when I handed him my change for him standing at the door. Awful service, crap food and wasn’t worth the air conditioning we wanted to pay for. AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE

29/06/2025: Con il desiderio di trascorrere una giornata al mare con la mia bimba senza la preoccupazione di cercare parcheggio, mi imbatto, sull’app spiagge.it, in questo lido. Per assicurarmi, oltre all’ombrellone, il posto auto, decido comunque di chiamare la struttura per specificare la mia necessità di fruire del parcheggio (a pagamento). La receptionist accetta la prenotazione, acquisisce i miei dati (un giorno prima), e dunque serenamente affronto 1h di traffico con la mia piccola con la prospettiva di un pranzo sul mare e una serena giornata al sole. Giunta sul posto alle 12:30, un maleducatissimo addetto alla logistica mi ingiunge di andar via perché il parcheggio è pieno e non possono accettare altri ospiti! Gli faccio presente la prenotazione ma non vuol sentire ragioni e mi intima con aggressività di spostarmi immediatamente con l’auto per consentire il passaggio al suo furgone, obbligandomi peraltro ad attraversare una strettoia in cui rischio di distruggere la mia auto. Mai più!

06/09/2025: Negative experience, the worst. Expensive for what you get: canned orange juice (not natural), the jam croissant just sat there on the plate. My grandmother (who is blind and deaf) makes the best coffee. Breakfast is €8. I'm leaving here feeling like the tax agency sent me a postal notice.

05/09/2025: DO NOT ENTER HERE The opinions of tourists here are true. This is a tourist trap ready to overcharge you for anything. They overcharged me for two lemonades 7.50€ when we checked on the menu was originally 5€ each. The staff when got caught decided to be aggresive over us on what we decided to leave If you see this place dont even look at it and search for another options that are more to you

02/07/2025: I recently decided to pay a visit to "Montanari Caffetteria" based on reviews I had read online. Unfortunately, I have to admit that my experience did not meet my expectations. First of all, I noticed that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The environment conveyed a sense of neglect, with unkempt tables and a floor that showed obvious signs of aging. In a place like a coffee shop, hygiene is of fundamental importance, so this situation immediately made me uncomfortable. Moving on to the heart of the experience in a coffee shop, namely the coffee, I have to say that I was even more disappointed. I expected to enjoy a strong, aromatic and flavorful coffee, but unfortunately I was served something that can only be described as an extremely diluted version of coffee, more similar to "dirty water" than the traditional Italian drink. In addition to the disappointing quality, I found the price decidedly excessive. I understand that in some places you may pay more for the ambiance or the superior products, but in this case I felt that the price was not justified by either. In conclusion, unfortunately I cannot recommend "Montanari Caffetteria". For those looking for a quality coffee experience I would recommend exploring other options in the area, which offer not only a clean and welcoming environment, but also a coffee that meets Italian expectations in terms of taste and quality, while maintaining a fair quality-price ratio.

05/07/2025: Non è la prima volta che vado a fare aperitivo o cena in questo posto, ma oggi l'esperienza è stata peggiore del solito. Seduti da 10 minuti, i 3 operatori al banco erano tutti presi a rifornire il frigo senza curarsi dei clienti. Quando un ragazzo si è avvicinato per liberare i piatti del tavolo di fianco, abbiamo chiesto con cortesia se qualcuno potesse venire a prendere l'ordine e ci ha risposto "dovete andare a ordinare al banco, non facciamo servizio al tavolo". Quando ho chiesto "e questo da quando?", ha risposto "me lo hanno detto ora". Alzati e andati via, esperienza chiusa e credo dureranno poco. Sicuramente capiterò al centro commerciale quando il titolare è presente, l'ho visto altre volte.

10/05/2025: I was rather disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The portions served were really small and the staff lacked friendliness and warmth. The pizza was the only decent dish, but for the rest, the value for money was not there. In addition, the dishes displayed outside did not match those offered inside, and there was no menu available, which made the choice difficult. As for dessert, the only one offered was a slice of apple cake, served unevenly; the selection is very limited. The restrooms are located outside the restaurant and were not very clean. Unfortunately, I do not think I will return.

14/04/2025: Smiling and fast service but frankly the carbonara pasta for €13 is nothing and it's not very good. When we left the restaurant, we had to complete our meal with sliced ​​pizzas to satisfy our hunger. Very disappointed. Regarding the pizza it's okay but nothing more.

05/09/2025: So it's 9:37 in the morning and I find myself in this place paying for a 10 euro breakfast and so far so good, right? The lady, in addition to making us sit at a filthy table like few others, reminds us that table service is not possible and also took the cappuccinos away from us to make us go further... I don't know. In fact, the 10 euro breakfast offers a half cappuccino, that is, half foam and half air... only the croissants are saved, making everything more magical.

19/07/2025: I'm giving it one star because I can't give it a zero. Rude, unpleasant, and impertinent. We were about to order breakfast, quietly, when the manager sees a pistachio croissant from another nearby place in a bag. Without further ado, and with very rude manners, he tells us that he won't be serving us and that we should leave. Just like that. I repeat up to three times that I'm not going to eat the croissant there, that we just want breakfast, and that if it bothers him so much, I'll save it. But nothing. Rude, crude, and with an absolutely ridiculous attitude, he insists that we leave. I'm amazed. As if bringing a bag from somewhere else were a crime. Well, I hope it becomes known as "the empty place" by the Trevi Fountain. Because with that kind of treatment, it's unlikely anyone will come in.

12/07/2025: We have been sitting during half an hour outside, no one was interested and asked about anything. Even though the crew was take care of another clients which they arrived after us. Main chief waiters were so arrogant and unhelpful. Such a shame for nice place and location.

12/05/2025: Antipasti risicati e troppo costosi per la qualità del pesce. Pasta alle vongole acquosa e senza sapore, calamaro alla piastra di minime dimensioni. Prezzo alto per quanto mangiato. Una delusione.

12/05/2025: Pasquetta. Menù fisso, poca scelta stavolta. Prendo le fettuccine alla pescatora e il “gran Fritto”, che alla fine era un semplice fritto di calamari, moscardini e gamberetti. Buona coordinazione tra la cucina e le ragazze il sala. Mi accorgo che delle 75 foto su TripAdv 67 sono le mie e oggi, al mio arrivo, non trovavano la mia prenotazione... Bravi! Mi chiedo se sono venuto troppo spesso!
