07/09/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It was 1 PM and smelled like cooking. We entered with two diners. We were warmly welcomed, but the service seemed to disappear. We ordered a scamorza, a main course, a first course, and two side dishes. The first course was wrong and sent back, but in any case, it was incredibly heavy, loaded with cream, I imagine. The second course, cooked in a wood-fired oven, was chewy and tough. One of the side dishes never arrived. I waited 15 minutes for the bill to be brought to my table, and another 10 minutes after I went to the cashier, tired of waiting; the receipt was a distant memory. The place has enormous potential, but...

07/09/2025: The place is fantastic, and the food is very good. But the staff leaves a lot to be desired. You have to be very careful because we ended up with two waters and one we had bought, and then we couldn't figure out anything about the wine.

18/06/2025: On a night out with friends, we decided to order an ice cream at 11:30 pm, the estimated time was about 30 minutes. At 1:00 am the courier hadn't arrived yet and we decided to call the ice cream shop and they answered saying that it would arrive within 20 minutes. After 30 minutes we called back and the ice cream shop answered us rudely, hanging up on us and telling us not to call anymore because sooner or later it would arrive, also hanging up on us in the face. The ice cream arrived at ten to 2. (by the way, practically melted). We absolutely do not recommend this ice cream shop.

14/06/2025: If you happen to be in a place, ask for a coffee and before taking it you would like to drink a drop of water, they will tell you that they don't sell it, you have to buy the bottle to get a coffee, rejected without a doubt.

29/08/2025: A terrible experience at Emporio Ave Bistrot Ave in the Vatican. Despite the place being empty, we were denied outside seating during the rain, even though there were four tiny tables available. The woman serving the ice cream was rude and unfriendly, making the whole experience even worse. When paying, the cashier displayed a horrible attitude when I asked to split the bill between two different cards. The ice cream is mediocre, and the staff's attitude is unacceptable. I'm currently sitting in the front of the place and can't believe how terrible the service was. I strongly advise against it!

02/07/2025: An ice cream shop without cream!!!!!!!! At least say it first, right??? Grumpy and unpleasant girl... we asked for a spoon, it seemed like they had removed a kidney... the ice cream? Not good at all... focus on courtesy... or you will only work with tourists who fall for it!

13/06/2025: In 2025, is cream still paid separately? Seriously? And we're not talking about artisanal cream (which I would struggle to understand anyway but ok), we're talking about cream dispensed by a machine! Oh please. Also, 3 and some euros for a two-flavor ice cream? One hopes that in the few flavors there is at least quality or at least quantity. Instead, two miserable scoops, but really bad, and not even very tasty. Incredible, it's very difficult to be completely disappointed and feel scammed in this way. Congratulations! Ps, I'll add later: given the myriad of one-star reviews, where many are very similar to mine, I strongly advise the owner of the place to start looking around a bit to begin to understand that perhaps the problem is not those who criticize her, but her. Maybe she'll gain some sympathy (something that was also missing at the time of purchase, it seemed like we were doing her a favor) but above all maybe she'll avoid having this sea of ​​negative reviews. Reviews also serve to give an indication of how things are really going, getting offended and acting in a snobbish but above all arrogant way certainly doesn't make things easier, on the contrary! 20/08/2025: The restroom is only usable if you use your own hand sanitizer. When we asked for toilet paper, we were handed a stack of napkins. We were given a strange coffee when we asked for a café fredo. It tasted like cough syrup. One star is really too much for this café.

16/08/2025: A very atmospheric bar in the heart of Rome! Delicious coffee, great cocktails and a cozy atmosphere where you can relax after a walk around the city. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the interior is stylish and has a special charm.

29/07/2025: My review is disgustingly negative. A plastic bottle of sparkling water costs €5.00, four slices of focaccia (instead of bread) €8. The pasta is of extremely poor quality.

29/07/2025: Looked okay from outside, prices were pretty reasonable. DO NOT LET IT FOOL YOU! Waited for a server to approach us for 15min, then half an hour more for the food. The pasta came undercooked, the chicken was overcooked. I asked for Parmesan cheese for my pasta and they gave me a nasty look… Unclean bathroom, no need to add anything else.

02/09/2025: I ended up here while just walking past, so I had not read the reviews. The food was good. The chilli bruschetta was the best out of multiple places where I tried it.

19/08/2025: There aren't any recent reviews. Please read this carefully before making your decision. The service was terrible, the tipping was forced, and I experienced the worst tourist experience. Beyond the price, the food quality was also terrible. There are many better places nearby, so please take note.

06/06/2025: I ordered 6 pizzas from just eat, the guy from the restaurant called me after about 40 minutes warning me that no rider was arriving, and that he had to close the restaurant, which also happened to me when I worked for them, BUT he told us to cancel the order and that it was better if he came to deliver it, I didn't want to pay more for the delivery because, at least for just eat, it was one euro, already included in the order. I also used a voucher, I say this because when the guy from the restaurant arrived a €9.50 pizza was missing, my pizza :') So in total: Frozen pizzas Just eat reported because it is not possible that they give me 4 stars on the site and then, here on google the place is not correct in the slightest. I don't know if it is a question of money, probably, but it would be right to know certain behaviors in advance, my €9.50 were used for something completely different, I put the pizza in my a*s and everyone was happy. Please always check.

13/08/2025: Horrible place. We decided to go there because they were having a "one-meter pizza for €15" promotion, but they pressured us into buying it and then didn't show us how much they were charging when we paid. We ended up paying over €35 for a terrible-quality pizza.

23/05/2025: Welcoming place. The guy who served us, Jacopo, was impeccable, funny and professional along with all the staff including Mr. Leopoldo. We have a ginseng and some desserts, all very good, especially the tart. Thank you and I hope to see you soon for a new departure.

29/06/2025: La pulizia in questo locale è un optional, personale sgradevole , cibo appena sufficiente, nel prendere un gelato, tra l'altro molto caro, il gelataio prendeva lo sporzionatore, quello che fa la pallina di gelato per capirci, da un contenitore colmo d'acqua, che visto il colore stava lì da 3 giorni, e mentre usava lo strumento, colava questa acqua all'interno delle vaschette di gelato, da brividi

08/06/2025: Dopo una brutta esperienza in uno dei luoghi “instagrammabili” dove ci eravamo recati per regalarci una colazione con dei lievitati che non fossero i classici cornetti surgelati, nel quale siamo stati completamente ignorati, per strada notiamo un via vai da questo locale e decidiamo di tentare la sorte. Il personale al bancone era simpatico e disponibile, ma soprattutto il croissant era degno della declinazione in francese, senza doverlo quindi chiamare “cornetto”. Fragrante e burroso, arioso e dolce il giusto. Anche i mignon molto buoni e freschi, sia la cassatina che il babà alla crema. In parole povere, una ottima esperienza dopo la disavventura precedente, che sicuramente ci conferma come a volte un luogo inaspettato possa regalare molte più soddisfazioni di uno “di tendenza”.

01/09/2025: Beware: very expensive alcoholic beverages. Warm wine 10 euros, Aperol in a plastic glass 10 euros. The envelope is 4 euros per person, the main courses are tasteless, and it looks like a local family restaurant. Avoid, don't go in, I advise against it, it's a disaster.

26/08/2025: HORRIBLE The service was excellent; the waiter spoke Spanish and was very friendly. It's a shame the same can't be said about the food. Five of us went and ordered spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti amatriciana, lasagna (which was supposed to be meat), a salad, and a risotto. The lasagna was served in a kind of bowl, like the one used for crème brûlée. I tried the lasagna, and it had no meat in it; it was cold and looked like it was frozen and from the supermarket. The spaghetti amatriciana was worse than the ones I'd eaten at school; the tomato was from a jar, the grated cheese looked like the cheapest one from the supermarket, and it even smelled off. The egg in the salad was shiny and didn't taste normal, and the tomato was just right. The risotto was from a packet. The spaghetti carbonara was good, although the egg was strange and had a peculiar taste. The two spaghettis are the house specialty (!!), the can of Coca-Cola for 4 euros, appeared from somewhere (we think the supermarket on the corner) because they only had Pepsi and they said they would go and get it.

23/03/2025: Mai più. I camerieri sono sbrigativi, scortesi e maleducati nei confronti dei clienti. L'unica luce sono i signori dei tabacchi. Anche la qualità è scaduta rispetto a tempi passati.

16/03/2025: c'era una volta il bar per eccellenza...ritrovo degli imprenditori e personaggi anno 60 70 e 80....tanto affari tante belle donne tante avventure...ora è una avventura prendere un caffè ..tra tanta confusione poca eleganza e tanta maleducazione...comunque il caffè a 1.20 € è buono servito con cioccolatino.

15/08/2025: Came here thought it looked like a good spot for some simple lunch. Ordered the bruschetta with ham and it looked a bit sorry for itself. It come soon after we ordered which was fine but I ordered a pizza which took another 20 mins to come out. Google the restaurant we were in and found it was a mistake. Read the other reviews and it mentioned about overcharging. Pizza came out after 35 mins and it was alright. Nothing special. Asked for the bill and they charged me and extra 4 euros which I said they got it wrong. They explained it was tax, oh it's their tourist tax they add on. Walk away from this place

23/08/2025: We went today and ate there because there was a nice view of the plaza, but the food was awful, overpriced at least x2 from any other place and not only these they charged us 66.80 for 1 schnitzel, 1 fried calamari and 1 bottle of water they also charged us 10 euro service fee from no where without any prior notice. TO ANY TOURISTS VISITING ROME DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE AT ANY COST
