27/08/2024: The place looked promising and we sincerely thought about some unforeseen event, on a day that wasn't the best, considering it was Saturday, with numerous customers at lunch. The review, however, cannot be fully favorable due to a couple of important errors. Let's start with the positive notes. Characteristic, sober and pleasant place, with numerous outdoor seats in a small alley in the center of Frascati. Very polite and welcoming staff, helpful and attentive. Regarding the courses, worth mentioning is the good selection of cheeses and the excellent bruschetta with colonnata lard. But then the sore points arrive. Despite the place being full, two service errors were still not admissible: After the starter, the main course is not served first to the couple at the next table, who arrived about 40 minutes later! Considering the very similar orders, there is no valid organizational justification for something so annoying. Even more serious: you spend half an hour waiting between the starter and the main course, but never, ever serve a dish to a diner about 10 minutes after serving the other! Despite subsequent apologies, both diners are forced to watch the other eat! Two important service errors which, in any case, would have been mitigated by the good quality of the dishes served. Instead, the trofie with speck, courgettes and cherry tomatoes, the dish that arrived 10 minutes later, which you expect "in white" and crunchy, arrived in a red and very oily "guazzetto" (perhaps also with stock cube), in a preparation that has nothing to do with the Roman tradition. A generous dish, too, in terms of quantity and abundance of seasoning, but definitely not appetizing. The most significant mistake of all, however, was that of the carbonara which arrived 10 minutes before the trofie. Burnt bacon, overcooked egg and overcooked half sleeves! We're sorry for the mishap in the kitchen, which we hope is occasional, but a dish like this shouldn't be released in the dining room! Sin! Because the raw materials and the location are there, as well as the courteous and attentive staff.

25/08/2024: Welcoming place, attentive and helpful staff, excellent food, truly satisfying dinner. I will return without a doubt, I recommend trying it.

09/07/2024: Posto molto carino e prezzi super accessibili. Miglior aperitivo in zona quartiere africano. Personale molto gentile. Unica pecca è che odiano i bambini. Ci sono andata più volte e ogni volta una lamentela sotto voce, o facce scocciate. Quando prenoto da vicino e magari ho i miei figli a seguito mi dicono che non c’è mai posto, se chiamo e ometto che ci sono bambini magicamente il posto compare. E aggiungo che i miei figli sono super educati quindi non è questione di fastidio di uno specifico bambino.

10/08/2024: Well what can I say, when being yourself makes your work a marvel for both customers and the owner himself. Spontaneity and kindness are the main things and the owner is truly to be admired from this aspect, a true Roman as he should be. As for the food, it's really really good, the porchetta feels fresh and makes up the sandwich directly by cutting things on the spot. I recommend it, we left a small trace with a drawing. Go there, trust me.

07/08/2024: We went after leaving the museum, we were surprised that no one was there, but it was a good idea to stay. The paninis were delicious, we tried the porcheta and mortadella with pistachio pesto. They were really delicious and the owner was very kind to us.

19/08/2024: Very kind staff, from the girls in the dining room to the owner who makes the pizza himself in the wood-fired oven! Supplì and chips among the best we have ever eaten. In Rome we have forgotten about this type of quality. The pizza, a vegetarian one (finally lots of vegetable seasoning!!!!) and a mushroom one, really excellent with proper dough... what can I say, more, I would like to have them at home!

16/08/2024: Experience to forget! An hour and twenty minutes of waiting to serve 6 pizzas. We ask to pay for what we had consumed before leaving and we are attacked by the waiter, who throws the orders of the other tables on the table to demonstrate their good faith (tables arrived later and served first as they are relatives of the owner) and then also by the staff of the kitchen. They bring us the bill (after a reminder) telling us arrogantly: "if you want, go away, but the pizzas are coming out so pay for them now". Not knowing how to manage 120 seats (the owner's words) in these August days means not knowing your job. Everything is understandable when you work hard(?), it would have been enough to apologize, rather than manage a bad evening with rudeness and an intimidating attitude. A pregnant wife and a 2 year old child in tow gave me back the composure to avoid a completely different epilogue. P.s. no apologies from anyone, but a discount of 8 euros (not requested) on the total (practically not even the equivalent of the cover charge). Go and do your alms in church. P.s.2 after us another table had to undergo the same treatment with a little theater worthy of the best TV series
