16/11/2025: Average restaurant; we didn't have a bad meal, but the prices are definitely out of line for what's on offer. I strongly advise against the more expensive tasting menu; in my opinion, it's not worth the money. The waiter in our case said, "I'll take care of you," and in the end, on top of the tasting menu, we also found a hefty extra charge on the final bill. I probably wouldn't return. It's also our fault for not asking for the proper explanation, but the numbers didn't add up.

06/11/2025: Excellent meat. First courses in line with Roman tradition.

12/12/2025: Typical Frascati tavern, stumbled upon by chance during Christmas shopping. The owners show a refinement in the raw materials. The red Cesanese is good. The combination of cabbage and cheese from the lower Tuscia is interesting.

01/11/2025: I ate at this restaurant for dinner. The food was definitely good, but the service and staff were somewhat questionable. I'd just finished eating and my plate was immediately taken away from the table. We waited quite a while for the pasta, but above all, the cashier was incredibly rude. She complained that I was paying in cash because she didn't have change. Finally, she gave me the change but slammed it on the table in a rather annoyed way. Too bad... the pasta was very good!

21/10/2025: We were in Rome for 4 days and had a great breakfast. The owners were lovely. They immediately understood that we wanted a coffee with milk in a large glass!

20/09/2025: We had a really great experience at this café. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Even though there was no space to sit, they managed to find us a place. The coffees and sandwiches were very delicious. I definitely recommend this place to others for breakfast.

04/12/2025: I come to this restaurant almost once a week and it's become a true must-try. It's perfect for a quick dinner for two without a reservation, or for when I have guests from out of town. The menu combines traditional Roman dishes with more original options for those like me who like to change things up every now and then! My absolute favorites are the sea bream tartare carbonara and the pasta carbonara, both classic and with truffle: always impeccable!! Highly recommended!!!

28/11/2025: This restaurant was close to our hotel, so we ended up eating there every evening — and I’m so glad we did. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to recommend dishes or give us advice. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of each time. Not to mention the food — everything we tried was delicious, genuinely nothing to complain about. Great service, great atmosphere, and excellent cuisine. I don’t regret choosing this place at all and would highly recommend it.

17/11/2025: Hi, it's been years since I've had gelato here, and it's still as good. I had a cone with pistachio, stracciatella with salt crystals, and Raffaello. Prices are a little above average, but I understand the area has become a tourist hotspot. I'm sorry for the girl at the counter, though; I haven't seen her as particularly suited to a job serving customers.

17/11/2025: Workday in Rome's EUR district. I decided to try The Green Restaurant inside the Hilton La Lama Hotel. I was expecting the "usual" solo dinner at the hotel, but instead Daniele, Giulio, Simon, Giorgia, and Jimmy made me feel like I was in good company. Top!!! I also want to compliment the kitchen, which, to top it off, provided me with a fruit salad—always a must-have for me after dinner.

05/11/2025: Had high hopes after seeing the high rating but the experience was underwhelming all round. Starters were quite bland, particularly burrata and beef tartare. Main course of pasta came with hard, undercooked pasta - I’m happy with al dente but it was just hard due to undercooking, and the millefoglie dessert was very small and was not at all as described on the menu. Service left much to be desired - our supposedly dedicated waiter was scarcely seen and we were served sporadically by several waiters instead, and one of our party of 10 received their main course 20 minutes after everyone else. Nice decor and atmosphere but everything else falls short.

10/12/2025: Apuleius strikes such a delicate balance in my opinion between being elegant yet approachable, a place for a special occasion or also for a nice family lunch or dinner (two families were there with children while I dined), attentive service but not overbearing or intrusive. You're far away from the tourist crowds here on the Aventine Hill, but the walk or commute is worth the setting and the fantastic Roman food with local wine and ingredients. This was my fifth time to Rome, and the best meal I've had in the Eternal City over all five visits. The starter with poached egg, zucchini, and AMPLE truffle slices was delightful; my main (risotto with tuna/onion/bottarga sauce) was hearty and flavourful, special without seeming overly wrought. The deconstructed tiramisù was tasty and a delight to think about while eating. Many thanks to the staff for a fantastic end to my pilgrimage during the Jubilee year with such a great meal. Deo gratias indeed!

04/12/2025: The messenger service idea itself is nice, but it's managed like a pay-to-win. Besides, the place is structured in two parts: one large and the other smaller, hidden away. If you happen to be in the small area, it's unlikely the waiters will get through, and it's unlikely the girl for the event will get through. So, if it weren't for the event, the place probably would have gotten an average rating of 4. But my experience wasn't the best. I hope this comment helps 💪🏻

23/09/2025: Love this place—quintessential neighborhood bakery/café. Huge selection of pastries and sandwiches; everything is incredibly delicious (especially the maritozzi); the staff are super friendly, courteous, and helpful; the prices are beyond reasonable; and the ambiance is great. Wonderful place to while away a morning or afternoon in Rome.

04/12/2025: We ate here tonight and it was the highlight of our meal so far. The steak, the pasta, the dessert – everything was perfect. We were lucky because we hadn't made a reservation.

07/08/2025: Ospiti a cena per un compleanno, abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo la location ( un gazebo esterno elegante e raffinato) la proposta di menu (varia, di qualità) e il servizio (molto professionale e attento). Antipasto Massenzio: un misto di 4 assaggi a base di pesce, caldi e freddi: ben presentato, ricco e appetitoso. Poi, tagliolini all'astice (solo polpa, niente carapace: questa sì che è una coccola!) in bianco, buoni e delicati, sicuramente migliorabili per un gusto più incisivo. Per secondo un filetto di spigola scaloppata con tartufo, servita con una dadolata di ortaggi di stagione ripassati, colorata e gustosa. Ottimo il gelato alla frutta preparato in casa (tre gusti azzeccatissimi: mango, ananas, melone). Pane fatto in casa.

20/07/2025: Location molto elegante , con soluzione anche in un gazebo all’aperto da sfruttare quando il clima lo consente. Cibo di qualità… vera. Prezzi assolutamente in linea.

05/12/2025: The pasta in tomato sauce was average, and the piece of bacon contained a piece of gristle that was impossible to chew. The pizza was weak. A plus was the free bruschetta to start, but a minus was the extra 4 euros in service. I won't remember this visit fondly.

11/10/2025: A Quality Landmark I've had the pleasure of visiting Paneria in Lariano several times over the years, and I always return with great pleasure, confirming the consistent quality of their service and products. The interior is very refined, the exterior a little less so... The entrance is dominated by the display counter, with a rich variety of artisanal breads and desserts. In my opinion, Paneria's strength lies in its attention to leavening. The pizza is thin and crunchy, as per Roman tradition, soft with a high crust, Neapolitan style, always light and highly digestible. The toppings are fresh and high-quality. The staff is professional, kind, and attentive to their customers. Paneria is a guarantee in Lariano; its consistency in excellence makes it a must-visit for those seeking the best.
