26/10/2025: For me, being in the area, the glass of brillo is a bit like thank goodness it exists... Whenever I'm undecided about choosing or trying new places, I choose this place because I know that indecision never leads to disappointment... friendly staff, a place with welcoming colors, good food and wine... Top quality/price ratio... last night I opted for a seafood-friendly aperitif, highly recommended!!!!!!!

12/11/2025: The setting in an narrow alley usually offers peace in a hyper toursity town. But this alley allows cars to go through. So the dining experience is watching a slow stream of car scraping by. It is half-entertaining. Doing it for once is quite okay. Repeating it is not my dream. Service was not super fast, but I was not forgotten. And the young lady seemed to genuinely care that I enjoyed the food.

26/10/2025: After a long tour, we enjoyed lunch on the restaurant's terrace. Friendly staff and delicious Italian and Bavarian cuisine.

25/10/2025: There were two waitresses in the afternoon. The blonde one was very rude and unwelcoming to the customers. The place was empty, yet she refused to give us the table we wanted! She was totally fine with letting us leave instead of letting us sit at the table we chose in the first place!

10/05/2025: Due volte sono entrata con il sorriso, due volte sono uscita dopo essere stata tratta da piedi. Entri e sembra che gli fai un torto, non salutano, non ringraziano, 4 euro un pezzetto di pizza Margherita da mangiare a passeggio, piegata male e servita peggio e senza scontrino. La seconda volta sono entrata solo perché era l’unico aperto, c’era fila, faccio la fila (20 minuti a sentire i suoi sbuffi in faccia a tutti) arriva il mio turno chiedo sorridendo UN solo pezzo di margherita, rispondono che non possono servirmi perché dovevano finire di riempire dei vassoi per un ordine da portare via. Non scrivo una recensione dal 2018… me la avete strappata con tutto il cuore! Buon lavoro!

08/06/2025: Suggested by a passerby in the historic center of Monte Compatri, “Lo Sperone” is the family-run trattoria we were looking for during our excursion to the Castelli Romani. Located in the alleys of the village, it offers a wide and rich menu of traditional dishes, all prepared with simple and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and genuine like the owners. The real beating heart is the kitchen of Mrs. Rina, who with her expert hands makes fettuccine and homemade desserts, as they once did. You can clearly perceive the passion and love for home cooking in every course. Friendly, attentive but never intrusive service. The environment is tidy, well-kept and clean, without frills but with that authenticity that is increasingly rare today. The quality-price ratio is excellent. Only note: you have to take into account a few extra minutes to find parking, but with a little patience you can do it, and it is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for those looking for a real gastronomic experience, far from touristy and standardized places.

07/11/2025: The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. However, the truffle steak was disappointing in terms of quality compared to the price. Despite being medium, it was a bit tough. The staff were very friendly.

05/11/2025: Terrible service! We waited over 20 minutes for a menu. No one even bothered to come over. When we asked for a menu ourselves, yes, right now. And we're waiting again. I don't know why there are such great reviews here if the staff is simply awful and can't even bring us a menu.

18/06/2025: Very nice to eat outside in the garden, enough space for small children to run around a bit. Service I would have given 5 stars for the professionalism and kindness. Only flaw, I specify that I am not one to eat in a hurry but the times are really a bit too dilated between one course and another.

29/07/2025: We stopped at this restaurant in the EUR neighborhood for a quick, light, and affordable lunch... We spent €36 for two Caprese salads, a beer, and two coffees. This alone would justify the lack of value, but I'd add that the Caprese salad—a "creative" version featuring two semi-transparent layers of salmon and a few olives—was almost completely flavorless due to the use of green tomatoes. The beer, presumably craft, didn't justify the exorbitant price of eight euros. The owner duped us by taking our orders without showing us the menu. Convinced it was a diner catering to employees of the many offices on site, we trusted him and fell for it. It's our fault, but this review was the least we could do to reciprocate.

18/10/2025: Nice outdoor aperitif, friendly staff; they don't offer table service, and for aperitifs, they only sell items from the bar. Overall, a pleasant place and well-made cocktails.

04/10/2025: We were there last night with the State Police rally, and they were able to accommodate us en masse even though it was just... A nice place for lunch, too... for example? First course, second course, and side dish for €8. Tobacco also available. Recommendation

27/08/2025: The location wasn't very welcoming, the coffee was excellent, the croissant wasn't very filling, but it was okay. But the absurd thing was that, after sitting outside with a friend of mine and drinking our coffees, we lit up a cigarette we'd bought elsewhere. The waiter came out and asked to see our IDs... Obviously, I asked him why, and he argued that we looked like minors, and since they also sell tobacco, if the police had stopped by, he might have thought they'd sold them to us. This reasoning was absurd, because obviously, each packet has its own identifiable barcode. However, only one of us had ID, and after a small argument, we had to leave without consuming the coffees and biscuits we'd already paid for. I strongly advise against it. Even if it were the best bar in Italy (and it isn't), no breakfast is worth the rudeness. I think true professionalism is revealed when dealing with a very young customer, because that's when everyone loses respect for the role you're assuming as a worker dealing with a customer.

26/09/2025: When I say we are foodies I really mean it ! English tourists and we had nothing but a pleasant visit. Food was 5 star service was nothing but impeccable price absolute bargain ! Me and my partner are staying around the corner with our baby and this little gem of a takeaway or sit outside was absolutely outstanding we had two pizzas and a pasta 🍝 bottle of the finest wine and two beers please try this place you will not be disappointed!!!!!! Tram 8 from the centre few stops away !
