21/08/2025: We've been there at least twice, since we live nearby, but it's a shame. Although the location is exceptional and the pizza is good, unfortunately, the rest leaves much to be desired. Terrible service, always late, dishes served incomplete (my tartare without burrata was presented on an empty plate), supplì with different flavors served on the same plate and indistinguishable (when asked, the waitress said, "See what flavors they are"). It's a shame, because they could be the only truly outdoor place in that very urbanized neighborhood of Rome, but right now they don't deserve more than a mere two stars (one for the location and the other for the pizza). I should add that they have very little gluten-free options (tartare and platter), and unfortunately, many dishes aren't adaptable.

19/08/2025: It's been years since I've been here and something has changed. 2 Margherita pizzas, a stomach ache that night. 2 medium-low brand beers that cost more than the pizzas, something doesn't add up. The good thing was the short wait.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here and Edoardo was extremely kind and patient in satisfying our every little request (not a few 😅). All accompanied by great sympathy and humanity, qualities that are rare nowadays. Thanks again!

29/05/2025: The place is nice, clean and quiet, and the food is special. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the waitress... sitting at a table... a rather unusual welcome.. A friend of mine ordered a dessert, but was told: "We can't do it because it takes a long time". (and it was 9:30 pm, the place would close at midnight) In my opinion, you don't give a customer an answer like that. It would have been more appropriate to invent a more credible excuse or simply explain yourself in a more professional way. I ordered a tiramisu that was anything but tiramisu... a hard biscuit, not even soaked in coffee, immersed in cream. My friends were surprised by the "crunch" it made at the first bite... so the dessert was taken back to the waitress who in the meantime was sitting at the table having dinner, apparently without any problem or asking herself if there was anything needed in the room. I think it would be time to review the role and attitude of this employee. I worked as a waitress for years, and I have never eaten meals at a table in the dining room like that… in my opinion you sit at the back, in the kitchen, before or after your shift is over… or you take turns with someone else. The bill was another sore point… initially we were presented with an incorrect total, three times higher than it should have been. The owner apologized several times, he was kind, but once we got home and calmly redid the accounts… something still didn’t add up. Bad evening? I sincerely hope so… I hope, however, that episodes like this don’t happen again, because with a little more attention and professionalism, the place would have all the credentials to offer an experience that is definitely better than ours I’m very sorry to leave an unpleasant review but it’s honest. I hope I can come back and change my mind.

15/07/2025: The restaurant offers several lunch options in the Via Veneto/Barberini area, the most popular of which is definitely the portion of main course + side dish + white pizza for €8. It's a shame that as soon as there are a few people, the staff gets confused and you're treated with arrogance and condescension. Today, when I asked for the piece of white pizza included in the €8 price, I was either shocked or told "it's not included"... when the people in line after me regularly received what was included in the offer. I asked for an explanation, but was arrogantly told "it's not included" repeatedly. They still demanded the full price of €8 (which I duly paid) even without the proper white pizza.

02/06/2025: Fantastic red pizza, as well as the white pizza that is filled on the spot. You can also choose three types of first courses and a wide choice of second courses with side dish + bread or focaccia. The portion of meat + potatoes that we took was generous. We had lunch inside the restaurant for €10 each. There is also a toilet.

22/08/2025: I'm attaching a photo of the "tiramisu" to begin this review, but the image of this dessert alone would be enough. The place is beautiful, undoubtedly, clean, including the very well-kept bathrooms; but the food. The food is unimaginable. Among other things, the presentation of the dishes is zero: ingredients carelessly thrown away. The appetizer (mixed fried food) was clearly made from frozen products, the mozzarella and Ascoli olives were clearly frozen (from the supermarket, obviously), as were the "vegetables" and the boiled meatball that didn't taste like boiled meat, with beans. The first courses were edible, nothing exceptional, and with the addition of "truffle" it was still €26 for a first course. Finally, the desserts: a cheesecake (a yellowish cake) reheated in the microwave and thrown, like everything else, onto a flat plate with pine nuts and jam. I've never seen cheesecake like this; I'm going to say "we do it like this here," but don't call it cheesecake, please. The presentation was horrible, the taste was just as bad, so I sent it back. They brought me the tiramisu, as you can see in the photo, with yellow sugar practically all over it, obviously left out as well. The waiter was honest, and very kind, and didn't include the tiramisu in the bill.

10/08/2025: Had dinner yesterday, August 9, 2025, with a group of six friends. The food was excellent, but what surprised me was the politeness and friendliness of the staff.

02/08/2025: Excellent dinner. I had excellent spaghetti with clams and delicious fried calamari. The hot chocolate souffle dessert was phenomenal. The place is cool and the prices are excellent.

14/08/2025: Excellent pizza by the slice, the round pizzas (takeaway or home delivery) are no less as well as the ready-made dishes available for lunch 😋

10/06/2025: Finally a traditional Chinese place near my house. I eat there often and also take home takeaway, always excellent. They also have an outdoor area for the summer. For me, the best dishes are on the traditional Chinese menu and I highly recommend the eggplant :) (The older reviews are from the previous place, which had much lower quality food!)

29/07/2025: De camino al Panteón, nos topamos con este auténtico restaurante familiar. Somos una familia de cuatro y pedimos pasta y pizza hecha a mano del menú, seguido de tiramisú y vin santo. Cada plato tenía sabores fantásticos. El servicio era excelente y el vino de mesa era increíble. Incluso el aceite de chile casero era extremadamente sabroso. Recomendamos encarecidamente este lugar, ya IT es una excelente relación calidad-precio en las inmediaciones del Panteón. Volveremos la próxima vez cuando volvamos de nuevo.

08/04/2025: Paying €7 for a portion of pizza, with 3 layers of potatoes, a spit of cheese and a skimpy slice of speck, I think is bordering on decency. It's theft. And what can I say? with many excellent pizzerias in Guidonia, it wasn't even the only place with parking... like today unfortunately. The pizza chef was smart to put in all those potatoes to make it weigh more.

02/08/2025: A quick preface. I've been coming to Sacrofano for many years. But I only moved here a year ago... and I love it. I'd only used Chalet for takeout pizzas, and they were excellent. However, in my opinion, they have a strong competitor when it comes to pizza. But theirs are good, in terms of dough, cooking, and ingredients. Let's look at the menu: what a pleasant surprise. Compared to some of the places in Scrofano's collective imagination, which have retained almost nothing but the historical memory of times gone by, Chalet offers a simple yet well-executed menu. Starting with the ingredients, which are high-quality and well-prepared. For example, the carbonara was served to me perfectly, with a creamy texture and a good proportion of bacon, cooked perfectly as per tradition. I would have liked a little more pepper, but that's purely personal taste, which has nothing to do with proper preparation. The pasta cooking? Perfectly al dente, as it should be. Let's move on to the "simple" side dish of grilled vegetables: fresh, well-prepared, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned (as was the carbonara). Finally, the most important note for me: the staff is extremely friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and pleasant, attentive to the diner's needs and concerned about their well-being. The same can be said of the owners. In conclusion: highly recommended, for any occasion.

07/09/2025: Historic neighborhood pastry shop. A must-try for croissants and brioches, delicious. Unfortunately, the pastries, mignons, and pastries are quite disappointing, as well as unreasonably expensive, disproportionate to the quality and flavor. The coffee is decent, and the gelato is disappointing, a bit too old-fashioned. In short, the croissants and brioches are definitely worth a visit, even the coffee. The rest, absolutely not.

06/09/2025: Dirty place. The maritozzo was practically inedible with the sour cream... I couldn't bring myself to eat it.

24/06/2025: What a disappointment! Manu very thin, to cost 30€ in the end many dishes were not present (for example all those with Avocado) Rice with a strange taste (for my palate) and very heavy. And ridiculous slices of fish compared to the rice ball. The only positive side, a girl at the table service very kind and smiling.

21/06/2025: the rude waiters closed the hand of a friend of mine in the window without apologizing afterwards we were served dishes of very low quality especially the tuna which I had to spit out also the tables were constantly dirty and the POS didn't work
