14/11/2025: Luckily the waiters were helpful because €18 for a "sandwich" that had no flavor, only mayonnaise (even though it was a "mozzarella and tomato sandwich"), is unacceptable. It tasted like triangular sandwiches from a gas station.

23/07/2025: A short walk from our hotel, we tried Bonario our first morning in Rome. We immediately fell in love with the two women running it and their friendly, welcoming demeanor. We don’t speak Italian and their English was minimal, but we managed together (and a little Google Translate help too). The food was fantastic and fresh and we ended up coming back every morning during our stay in Rome. They were a delight and the food was wonderful.

17/11/2025: I stayed at the property with 24 other volunteers from a Genoese association. The staff was always excellent, both before our arrival and throughout our stay. They were kind and helpful. The location is top-notch and very convenient, even for groups (the train station and ATAC bus terminal). The double/twin rooms are nice, but the singles are much less so. The space is a bit limited, but they do have air conditioning and a TV. They are cleaned every day, and the linens are changed. The breakfast buffet is simple but plentiful. The entire interior could use some modernization, even just the common furniture. I would gladly stay here again. Thank you.

13/11/2025: The location is very central, quiet, and convenient for reaching the Vatican. Public transportation is just 20 meters away. The staff is extremely kind, courteous, and professional. The breakfast is good and plentiful. Celiacs like me have no problem with this. In any case, we booked a very large, spacious, and well-appointed quadruple room. I'll keep it in mind for future travel.

03/11/2025: It's a shame about the food, which isn't bad, but the service is terrible (40 minutes for water and bread). The worst part is the owner apologizing and saying she'll offer us dessert. Everything was fine until the bill, where we'll see everything. - The gnocchi with tomato sauce was good. - The lamb was poorly cooked. - The dessert should be avoided. - The best thing is to go out and see the colors of nature.

23/10/2025: Many positives, just as many negatives, a rollercoaster of thoughts... you get angry with the wait, you reward yourself with the intoxicating flavor of the first courses... old-school cooking... I had homemade gnocchi and a plump sparerib sauce!! Excellent!! To mop up... the sparerib is soft as butter. then... the freezing cold... They forget to bring the main courses/side dishes... in the meantime, they run out of ingredients and can no longer prepare the dishes you ordered... they bring you what's left... fast, precise, and you fall in love with them again with the delicacies you receive... stratospheric baked potatoes (like mashed potatoes on the inside, while the outer crust is phenomenal, not a single bit of burning, see photo) in the meantime, the desserts run out... and again the felo... having seen artisanal tiramisu pass by at the next table... CONS Location: fantastic, however needs to be reviewed: structure a bit dilapidated, general cleanliness No paper menu, only online, but no phone coverage (no wifi either) Willing but inexperienced waiters (a common problem in Italy) You order blindly without knowing the amount PROS Location Raw ingredients Old-school cuisine Handmade pasta dishes Ample outdoor parking Pleasant, polite, and willing staff If you're willing to enjoy the The view, the calm of the day, and the lack of worry about standard service, mean you'll eat well for a slightly higher price, and you'll leave happy... This is the place for you.

08/10/2025: Unfortunately, most bars offer frozen or "mass-produced" baked goods. Gran Bar Conca d'Oro has excellent croissants (a wide selection), made on-site by their pastry chef, which are worth every calorie. I happened to stop by at 6:00 in the morning and already found a wide selection of croissants.

20/10/2025: I've been to Star Dust Caffè on Via Casilina in Rome a couple of times, and I have to say I've had a good experience overall. It's a very convenient place, especially for those passing through or looking for a quick break. What I appreciate most is that it's open 24 hours a day, making it a local favorite when everything else is closed. I tried both breakfast and an afternoon snack: good cappuccino and fresh croissants, not frozen ones like many other cafes. The staff was friendly and quick, even when there were a lot of people at the counter. Prices are reasonable, perhaps even slightly lower than the Roman average. The only thing I'd say is that during peak hours it can be a bit chaotic and noisy, because in addition to being a bar, it's also a tobacconist and a busy stop. It's not your typical "intimate" place to stop quietly, but rather a functional and dynamic place. In conclusion, I recommend it for a convenient break—breakfast, coffee, a sandwich, or a quick aperitivo. It's not a fancy bar, but it does its job well and does it with courtesy.

Prices are moderately high, but always in line (if not low) with the quality of the food (excellent). The service has always been professional and impeccable, obviously except for occasions when the place was full and the waiting times were affected, but always reasonably. Highly recommended.

09/11/2025: I'm out of my mind. One of their employees even came out of the shop for some reason and started yelling at us, three people who wanted breakfast at 7:28, and the bar opened at 7:30. Crazy stuff. Failed for life. Ignorant and rude. On top of that, they take your money: 2 euros for a croissant, 140 for a coffee. Prices are said to be raised so as not to let in students from a nearby school.
