Gelateria Vasco In Roma

In general all fine, great location where you can go to Vatican just in few minutes, big market right next to it, breakfast was good, bread, salami and cheese + yoghurt and many cakes. Good coffee, better than usually in this type of hotels. Air condition was working good - a dedicated split unit in a bedroom. What surprised me negatively was 36 euro of tax for weekend. We were charged as per 3 star hotel but this is 1 star. No bill, no information on which base this was charged, no explanation. A bit pitty because this changed the overall price which was quite good on the beginning.

I recently stayed a few days in Rome and chose this place for its location. We weren't aware that public transportation in Rome could be complicated, which made accessing the center a little difficult. The site itself has history, it seems like it was a convent or something like that. Although the facilities are old, they are maintained in an acceptable condition. The rooms retain their old style and, although the beds can be uncomfortable, they are clean and spacious. One point to consider is that the bathroom and shower are shared. On my flat, of the four showers available, one was out of order and in the other three, the shower head brackets were broken, which was quite disappointing. As for the quality/price ratio, it is quite standard. It's a good place to spend a few days, but perhaps not for a longer stay.

The rooms are basic (they would be top with a kettle and a mini fridge perhaps) but they are clean and spacious. I think it's a former convent or religious structure, which is ironic because I'm not a believer. The location is splendid, a stone's throw from St. Peter's Square and San Pietro station. Buffet breakfast especially sweet, which was fine for me. I also want to congratulate the staff, because they were all extremely kind and thoughtful. Thank you!

Very pleasant stay. Very attentive staff. Rooms clean and in good condition. Very close to St. Peter's Basilica and the metro to get around the city. Highly recommended!

Very quiet place, well located, everything is a little old but not bad, good cleaning, the bad thing is that the mattresses are very old, it was sagging and the rest has not been very good.....but otherwise good

I'm in a deluxe room. I really don't understand how a 1 star hotel is, when it should be 3. I am very happy with this stay. It is very clean, spacious room, new bathroom and its own balcony. Very friendly staff. Large hall, a living room with a vending machine for hot and cold drinks, such as for having a coffee or soda. Cleanliness is excellent and it is a 15 minute walk from the Vatican.

Not sure how this is only a one-star hotel; it's very accommodating and the staff is excellent. My wife and I were stuck in the rain waiting on the train to come in San Pietro after our stay and they let us wait out the rain and even helped us get a cab.
