18/07/2025: The guy was getting ready to close the truck so we were almost sure he was not going to make us a sandwich.That was not the case tho.Not only that he made us the sandwiches but he pulled out the table for us.The sandwiches were delicious and warm.Will visit again for sure!

22/06/2025: Really good sandwich, even though there were 5 of us who were practically closing, they made us perfect sandwiches with warm, crunchy bread and the sausage was really quality, as were the vegetables they put in it, the view of the lake as a backdrop is beautiful, we met Massimo, the owner, a true Roman, and his very nice son-in-law! This is the street food we like❤️✨️

05/08/2025: Biblical waits. Nothing to complain about the pizza, but the sloppy, disinterested staff and the long waits put me off returning. It took a good half hour to order, and another half hour to see the first appetizers arrive, brought in several portions spaced 10-15 minutes apart, so not everyone got to eat their appetizer at the same time. Not for me! UPDATE: To respond to the restaurant owner, I'd like to point out that other tables have also complained about the wait times; you can ask your waitresses for confirmation. The people at the table next to us, for example, had their pizzas taken away in a box, claiming they'd lost their appetite due to the wait. Half an hour multiplied by two, between ordering and the appetizer, equals an hour, and yes, for me that's a biblical amount of time, since I don't rush to dinner, but I definitely go to dinner because I'm hungry. You're right about the timing related to product freshness. I'm sure you pulled the potatoes from the garden, washed them, cut them by hand, and fried them. Finding the right staff is your problem, because I do something else for a living. Sometimes it's better to take constructive feedback from a dissatisfied customer, rather than responding in ways that only serve to discredit you. What can I say? In some places, arrogance spreads faster than pizza!

04/07/2025: Prosciutto with melon was beautiful, service was nice but unfortunately both my grecia and my partner's carbonara were way too salty to eat. We tried but it really was inedible and unfortunately, we left a little too hungry after having spent €16 for each (other places in the area are maximum €15 for pasta). The waiters were lovely and felt really bad about our experience and they gave us a shot of grappa to have with them. After the 2 waiters spoke back and forth in Italian, clearly trying to work out how much to charge us after we didn't eat our pasta, they only gave us a €2 discount. Not complaining, better than nothing I guess, just disappointing. Thank you to the lovely man who had a shot with us, he made us feel better about our experience

01/07/2025: A very nice place, with mediocre food and very expensive prices. A beer and a frozen meat burger €22. Extremely poor quality/price ratio. Sure, the menu with the prices was on display.. but only later did I notice that they were the "take away" prices.. my mistake for not having seen it and trusting the guy to whom I had indicated my choice with my hand..

04/08/2025: The best croissants, bombs, gigantic donuts, and delicious Danish pastries? What the heck am I saying!!!! And so much more, and at prices like a regular cafe, but three times higher.

30/07/2025: They advertise opening hours as 11 PM, but it's 10 PM and closed. I'm giving it 3 stars as a neutral rating, but I'm waiting for them to post more accurate hours.

01/08/2025: We had a delicious dinner! Very friendly staff, who asked for our order several times. We didn't have to wait long for the food. Everything was excellent! Highly recommended. Beautiful place, very central.

30/07/2025: Update: 7/27/2025. I am a local. I live 2-3 blocks from this restaurant. My wife and have been walking over and eating here for years since its inception. And yet, no one seems to know us, nor remember us. It's weird. Compared to other places that we frequent regularly, we often receive a warm smile upon our return, or even a "welcome back" or "good to see you again" by our servers and wait staff. We hoped LOCAL would be our local hangout. Nope. I realize now, after years, that we've never really felt welcomed. Not warm. Yet, we'd still come back time after time for our favorite dishes: But now they've changed this too. Frustrated, I've changed my ratings. They've changed my favorite mushroom truffle pizza (it came cold) and the mussels "lost its chili flakes bite" (plus super tiny tiny mussels this time.) At least the manager removed the mushroom pizza from our bill. That's good service. On top of this, one of the hostesses is not very friendly, depends which one you get. I always expect that a hostess should make you feel welcome. A warm smile and greeting. Nope. Our waitress was friendly, but new. Not my local favorite anymore. I'm hoping they'll improve. I was routing for Local to be my favorite local restaurant. ORIGINAL REVIEW: One of my favorites new restaurants on Ocean Park, only a few blocks away from my house. It's great to have such a nice restaurant within walking distance. Not only convenient but excellent food, cocktails and wines. One of my favorites is the mussels with sourdough bread. Great for sharing, but you must pay extra for the toasted sourdough bread which you must have to dip into the wonderful seafood broth (perfectly spiced and seasoned.) The second is the mushroom truffle pizza. Ghisallo, known for their pizza, is a block or 2 away, but i think Local's pizza is better. Better cheeses, less oily, crispier, thinner crust. The best IMO. Lastly, the 24 oz bone-in aged ribeye. This is a great dish to share. I love the chef's version of this classic dish. Again, other places can serve bone-in ribeye steak, but the smoky, grilled flavor is amazing. The only negative is that sometimes the ribeye may have a lot of fat. Sometimes, I'm cutting away 20% of the steak. I'll have to search back and find a picture of their ribeye and post it. Overall, as a local, I enjoy eating here and trying their different dishes. They're all pretty good. Coming out of the pandemic, they had the best outdoor patio seating arrangement: cozy, front patio and a large parking lot patio, all with ample patio heaters. I prefer the indoor seating but it can get really loud when busy. I also gave only 4-stars for service, because sometimes, they seem understaffed. The service staff are good and friendly, but can be overwhelmed during peak hours. Thus we eat early and leave early, often taking our leftovers and walking back home. It's great to take a nice walk after dinner.

11/08/2025: As for the place, nothing to complain about. It's located in the La Romanina shopping center. I came a few days before Ferragosto (the holiday in August), and compared to other shopping centers, it's quieter. As for Roadhouse itself, it was a rather unpleasant experience. My boyfriend and I arrived around 8:00 PM and already noticed a man waiting at the cash register for the guy who came a minute later. He still sat us down and asked if we wanted to try the All-You-Can-Ribs deal, which we accepted. A waiter, visibly in a hurry, came over and gave us the menu. We waited about ten minutes before our order arrived. Meanwhile, the place had (for the entire duration of our dinner) seven tables occupied. We counted seven tables and only two guys alternating between waiter, cashier, and receptionist. After about half an hour, a red-haired girl came out of the bathroom. Guess what? She's also part of the staff. We had dinner for about an hour, and during that time, the woman not only went to the bathroom twice (accompanied by another woman, probably also a member of staff because she left the kitchen first), but she also contributed little to no work. Despite this, the two men, albeit with some difficulty, managed to smooth over the unpleasant situation with this woman. Regardless, the dinner was very good.

28/06/2025: Going to the pizzeria sa Ennio every time is like going to your own home, they are always very kind and professional, and whatever you eat is all really good, from the pizza, first courses, meat and fish second courses, it's all wow.

08/07/2025: We go often because they make round gluten-free pizzas that you can sit down to eat (they have tables outside). We went once in the evening around 7:30 PM with the intention of sitting down, but they told us it wasn't possible because they had too many takeout orders (so don't do a sit-down service). I insisted, and in the end they obliged. Anyway, the pizza is good, and so are the supplì!

29/06/2025: My son, my husband and I went to try the restaurant for my son's communion... it immediately stole our heart... with their home-made taste... kindness and simplicity... without seeing or trying any other restaurant we stopped there... and the communion took place on June 8, 2025... had lunch with relatives, many compliments from them... fresh and excellent meals... tonight we're going again... to try their wood-fired pizza... definitely an explosion of goodness... we can't wait... and in any case for us it was voted 5 stars!!!!!! Compliments... to the owners... very nice waiters... and above all to Lorena... exceptional person and owner!!

19/06/2025: Historic Restaurant EXCELLENT in EVERYTHING. Squarciarelli Crossroads in Grottaferrata. Do you remember the great Renato Rascel .....of Arriverci Roma? ....".....at Squarciarelli, fettuccine and wine from the Castelli ...." They are always Them 😋😀🥰 OK. CM
