Trattoria with typical Roman features. From the moment you enter the door you sense that time has stopped here. Small but very welcoming environment. I had dinner with a friend for the first time and I immediately had an excellent impression. Everything was confirmed when I tasted the delicious dishes. To begin with we savored a platter of cured meats and cheeses, followed by pappardelle with wild boar ragout strictly in white and then a Roman-style tripe which was delicious to say the least... As a side dish, the Roman-style artichokes, the latter AMAZING... Never eaten anything tastier... What can I say, highly recommended and will return. Reservation required.

Tuesday evening after tennis: welcomed even without reservation, sublime gnocchi all'amatriciana, mozzarella in carrozza and Roman artichoke worth seeing again. I'll be back

The restaurant is located at the beginning of the Via Appia Antica coming from Porta San Sebastiano. The structure of the restaurant is very old, it was used as a wine and food shop since the 19th century. The environment is unique and not very large, rustic and captivating, typical dishes of the Roman tradition are served. The food is good and the table service is quite fast. The owner/chef's idea of ​​hanging various blackboards on the walls where he has written various witty phrases from authors or of his own invention is nice and, therefore, while you wait for your dishes you can have fun commenting on the writings! The tables are quite close together to make the most of the space but the place is very well known and if you don't book you won't find a seat. On Sundays for lunch there are two shifts at 12.30pm and 2pm, in the evening it is closed for dinner. The rest of the days normal hours. Parking very close and without problems. Average prices. I've already been back with friends several times!!

Trattoria dove mangiare piatti tipici della tradizione romana. Buoni i primi, i tonnarelli cacio e pepe li ho mangiati volentieri, il sugo non era troppo pesante. Ottimi i prezzi.

Locale molto caratteristico,si mangia come a casa, ovviamente non è il massimo come comfort, bagno a 200 MT... però e da vedere, cucina ottima
