Trattoria Priscilla is strategically located near the Church of Santa Maria in Palmis (Quo Vadis), the entrance to the Appian Way Park, the Caffarella, and the Catacombs. The restaurant is charming and well-maintained, as befits a traditional osteria. As for the food, the first courses (gnocchi with tomato and basil, cacio e pepe, and fettuccine with artichokes), the second courses (veal and potato stew), the side dishes (sautéed chicory and baked potatoes), and the desserts (tiramisu and sour cherry tart) were delicious and served quickly. The family-run service is well-organized, friendly, and fast. The atmosphere is refined.

Old-fashioned trattoria, few dishes but good. If you like home cooking, go there.

Authentic and well-kept trattoria on the Appian Way, with just a few tables and a truly pleasant atmosphere. Excellent cuisine: fettuccine with artichokes, guanciale, mint, and pecorino cheese is truly top-notch (fresh pasta and generous portions). Boiled beef Piccatapò is incredibly tender, melts in the mouth, and artichokes alla giudia are beautifully executed. The Morellino di Scansano is also good. Friendly and welcoming staff. The owner is also the chef, attentive and passionate—you can taste the care and attention to detail in the dishes. A small note on the wine list: only Tuscan wines; I would have also appreciated a more regional selection and a greater variety in price ranges. Otherwise, a truly excellent experience: we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Perfect place to eat before or after visiting the baths or catacombs. On the Appian Way. Very good. The menu has few options, but they're all excellent. We had an amazing meal at a reasonable price. The homemade tiramisu was also delicious.

The atmosphere is simple and informal, reminiscent of traditional Roman trattorias, and the service is friendly. Excellent cacio e pepe, cured meats and cheese appetizers, and tiramisu.

A small but well-maintained Roman trattoria, focused on food. If you go on Sunday, there are two sittings, one at 12:30 and one at 2:00 PM. If you choose the former, you'll have to hurry, which is the only drawback (besides the fact that they don't serve coffee). The food is good, and the lady serving is friendly and accommodating. The trattoria's location is strategic if you plan on taking a stroll through the Appian Way parks (which are also beautiful). Parking is available. I also recommend trying the tripe, which is delicious here.

Il Grappolo d'Oro

19/05/2026: I dined at Osteria Il Grappolo D'Oro during a stroll through the center of Frascati, and I must say it was one of those experiences that makes you feel instantly at home. The atmosphere is that of a true Roman osteria: simple, authentic, and warm, with a welcome that immediately puts you at ease. I tried the carbonara and the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, both truly exceptional: bold flavors, generous portions, and quality ingredients. The porchetta and abbacchio also absolutely deserve a special mention. All of this was accompanied by an excellent Castelli wine, which paired perfectly with the traditional Roman dishes. What struck me most, however, was the kindness of the staff: you can sense their passion for their work and their attention to their customers. The atmosphere is rustic and authentic, just like the old osterias of yesteryear, where you can eat well and spend a pleasant, informal evening. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. If you're in Frascati and want to eat authentic Roman cuisine, this place is a must. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu.
17/05/2026: I'll be back with great pleasure. Thanks Stefano!
