04/11/2025: Absolutely brilliant, 100% recommended

30/10/2025: Extremely disappointing experience. For a €190-per-person restaurant, the food was shockingly underwhelming. They seemed determined to be as stingy as possible with the ingredients, and the chef appears to be skilled only at plating. It’s hard to believe how shamelessly low-quality some of the dishes were. The so-called 10-course “seafood” tasting menu included the cheapest cuttlefish dish imaginable (they didn’t even bother removing the cuttlefish teeth), three poorly executed pasta courses that had almost nothing to do with seafood, a bitter vegetable salad, and several other completely tasteless plates. Even the complimentary desserts were awful — the Canelé had a soft crust and a giant hole in the middle, worse than most homemade versions. To top it off, when we asked a waitress for our checked bag on the way out, she asked whether we had paid and didn’t even know which bag was ours. She simply opened the closet and told us to pick it ourselves — no security at all! What if someone had taken the wrong bag? Overall, a complete letdown. Save your money ‼️— there are far better places in this price range.

12/10/2025: Slow service and long waits for food. The lady who runs the place was rude and impolite. A Sunday lunch ruined. It's a shame, we'd come to explore the place with the best intentions.

28/10/2025: On the first evening of our five-day trip to Rome, we stumbled upon Boris Cucina & Salotto quite by chance and were delighted by the ambiance, the service, and the delicious food. What impressed us even more, however, was the owner's hospitality and kindness. We were in the unfortunate position of having no accommodation in Rome, as our original booking had been canceled that same day by the apartment owner without any explanation. When Boris learned of our predicament, he spontaneously arranged private accommodation for the four of us for one night through a friend, so we didn't have to sleep on the street. Therefore, a big thank you again to Boris!

28/10/2025: I visited this restaurant and ordered pasta — I really liked how well it was prepared. The food was delicious and you can tell it was made with care. The portion was generous, the sauce rich, and the crispy bacon added a nice touch. By the way, I calculated the calories of this dish using the service mentioned in the photo attached to the review. It turned out to be super convenient and quick — everything was ready in just a few seconds! Now I recommend everyone to try using this calorie-counting service — it really makes it easy to keep track of your meals and understand what you eat.

15/11/2025: One of the few ice cream shops in northern Rome where I've found lactose-free flavors, like hazelnut and pistachio, and even plant-based cream! Beautiful, welcoming place, and friendly, helpful staff! Definitely recommended ❤️

26/09/2025: Small but perfectly formed bistro where Chef Golino shows how inventive Roman food is done, well. My eggplant parmesan was crisp on the edges, smooth and creamy in the middle with a tart bite from the rich tomato sauce, topped with fresh and very melty mozzarella. A lava flow of deliciousness. For my Primi I tried their most popular dish and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked tagliolini pasta with sweet chunks of fresh prawn confit. The sauce brought the two together with buttery earthy magic. There was much more on the menu that I want to try, this was a very good meal. Recommended, well worth a trip up to Monteverde to sample this excellent restaurant. Make a reservation though!

17/09/2025: Spurred by the excellent reviews, I decided to try pizza at this place, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The pizza wasn't good at all: undercooked and with a flavorless Margherita sauce. It's a shame, because the place is cute, in the style of an old-fashioned fraschetta, and the staff was kind and helpful. However, the price was definitely too high for the quality of the food served! I expected more! But I'll be back to try Roman cuisine!

18/10/2025: We discovered Vin Allegro in Trastevere near our accommodations, and our golf cart tour guide later recommended it too! The appetizers and wine were excellent, and our server Eleanora made the experience especially enjoyable with her kind and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere—we’ll definitely return when we’re back in Rome!

27/09/2025: Great service. Fantastic food. Tried the spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, and focaccia bread. It was all very good and well priced as well. Just a short walk from the Trevi Fountain. Definitely worth a visit.

19/10/2025: After making arrangements with the owner (that's how he introduced himself) to have coffee half an hour before breakfast time, I was told he'd leave the coffee machine available for us, no problem. We arrive in the morning, and no one knows anything. Bottom line: after tipping the night before at dinner, we leave on an empty stomach. You don't want to offer service, don't do it, don't act like a swell guy and then do nothing.

06/11/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A pleasant discovery! DOP Bistrò – Salotto & Cucina was truly a pleasant surprise. I tried the gricia and the Cinta Senese shank, accompanied by a glass of wine: everything was excellent and perfectly balanced in terms of quality/price. The place is well-kept and welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed but with a touch of elegance. A special thanks to Tina, a Persian woman of unique refinement and kindness, who made the evening even more enjoyable. The owner, very courteous and gracious, wanted to conclude the dinner by offering a delicious Tuscan amaro: a classy gesture that is always appreciated. I will definitely be back: a place where you can feel pampered and eat well! 🍷🍝✨

05/11/2025: I went for dinner a few days ago, stumbling upon it by chance. I chose to have pork shank, side dish, and dessert. The shank was simply sublime. Slow-cooked for over 30 hours. Delicious. Simply delicious. The side dish was okay, the dessert excellent. The place is small, so it's best to book in advance. But it's very welcoming. And the great thing is that the acoustics are excellent (the place is cute and the furnishings are soundproof, creating a very pleasant atmosphere). The staff are helpful, friendly, and kind. In short: top marks. I stumbled upon it by chance, but I'll definitely be back.
