07/10/2025: We stopped here a couple of times for drinks. The staff here are super knowledgable and recommended some excellent wines. Would definitely recommend for a drink on your tour of Ortigia.

19/10/2025: We loved it; the menu is fantastic. For dinner, we chose the shorter version and it was a great choice. All the dishes were delicious, with interesting, well-balanced flavors. The wine list is also excellent. It's a highly recommended place.

18/10/2025: We went to this restaurant for lunch and chose the mini tasting menu: simply fantastic! Every dish, from the first to the last, was a true discovery of flavor and quality. The attention to presentation and the balanced flavors demonstrate the great care and passion in the kitchen. The value for money is truly exceptional—it's hard to beat. Special praise also goes to the waiter, who was extremely kind and professional, and who expertly explained each course to us, making the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely recommend trying it, and we'll definitely be back soon!

07/10/2025: The location is a bit remote inland from Lake Garda, but not difficult to find; you certainly wouldn't pass it by on your usual travels. On the other hand, the place is quiet, very charming, and has parking across the street. Otherwise, I can only praise it: a quality menu featuring local dishes revisited with taste and elegance. The wine list is extensive and adequate. I personally chose the Amarone risotto with pears and the stuffed duck and was thrilled. The service was impeccable, and the very kind owner enthusiastically explained the dishes to us, revealing his passion for his work. The price reflects the quality and the work that goes into it. What more can I say? I'll just say I'd gladly return, and that's the highest compliment I can give.

10/10/2025: On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, a bright, full-moon evening, we were guests at the Ristorante "baglio." For starters, we enjoyed a freshly caught scampi tartare on crisp, aromatic leaf salad and a portion of flavorful eggplant cubes with tomatoes and Parmesan. For the main course, we had freshly caught lobster with tagliatelle, and for dessert, we chose a lemon cake drenched in fine limoncello. Everything was masterfully and tastefully prepared by Serena in the kitchen and served by her husband, a competent and caring host. All this in the unique ambiance of the terrace with a panoramic view of the sea.

09/10/2025: Given that I love the Amalfi Coast and its good restaurants, this restaurant is truly excellent. The best lobster linguine on the Amalfi Coast. Wonderful evening.

12/10/2025: We arrived there by chance, but what a joy, a typical, home-cooked restaurant. The staff and owner were super friendly. The owner let us taste the bread dipped in salted oil and the homemade piperade. We found ourselves chatting with two other couples on the terrace. It was a great evening.

13/07/2025: La location all'interno di un antico palazzo è davvero affascinante. Pranziamo all'esterno in un ampio cortile rivestito d'edera su tutti i lati con tavoli abbastanza distanti tra loro e senza avvertire la calura esterna. Disponibili più degustazioni con un ampia possibilità di scelta considerato anche che i prezzi "alla carta" non sono esagerati. Selezioniamo proprio dalla carta ed iniziamo con il mosaico di tonno e ricciola marinati alla panzanella; è la composizione di tonno e ricciola a colpire l'occhio ma è il fantastico condimento della panzanella ad innestare le marce alte del gusto. Proseguiamo con la linguina con crema ai ricci di mare, cipollotto arrostito e polvere di nduja. Mescoliamo il tutto e la prima cosa che sentiamo è il cipollotto, buono, non eccezionale, ma non appena alla forchettata successiva peschiamo i ricci ecco che la soddisfazione è piena. Finora tutto bene ma è coì secondi che la cucina si esalta: sia l'"omaggio a Jackson Pollock", ovvero un filetto di rombo ricoperto da un velo di seppia con spuma di fagioli, spinaci, e chips al nero di seppia, sia l'agnello come un peperone “mbuttunat” sono di alto livello. L'omaggio a Pollock non è un semplice mix di ingredienti ma un insieme ben bilanciato dove ogni cosa ha motivo di esserci. L'agnello, con perfetta cottura, è semplicemente tra i più buoni mai assaggiati. Il piatto per cui ritornare. Si chiude con il gelato al provolone del monaco, una sorpresa per chi cerca qualcosa di nuovo ma, attenzione, non un dolce...dolce. Freschissima la "Green Experience" ovvero panna cotta al basilico, gelato al tè matcha, e schiuma di latte croccante. Da una carta dei vini con ricarichi ragionevoli scegliamo una bollicina: Albino Armani Trento Dosaggio Zero “Clè”, piacevole per l'intero pasto. Servizio veloce ed adeguato. Prezzi nella norma, buoni rispetto a location e qualità della cucina.

22/09/2025: I absolutely recommend this place! The ambiance is wonderful in the old town; with a gentle breeze, you'll want to sit there forever. Giovanni makes his own "spritz" with lime and mint; we drank several; it's wonderfully refreshing. Be sure to ask for it; it's not on the menu. We also enjoyed two snack plates with Parma ham and mascarpone spread. With the coffee, we also had a biscuit, typical of the region, with almonds. Very delicious.

03/10/2025: For my wife and I, lunch at Acqua Salata on Tuesday, September 30th was a pleasant surprise. Both the scialatielli with clams and the tagliatelle with octopus ragù were special. The fried shrimp and calamari were crispy and truly fresh. And then the seadas were truly remarkable. Fairly priced 👍👍👍 Congratulations to Angelo for everything, and I promised him we'll see each other again.

07/09/2025: The family-run restaurant is set in a very pleasant (outdoor) setting. The waitress is equally pleasant and affable (except that she later brought us a different wine than the one we ordered). The menu is rather sparse (but if it were quality, it wouldn't be a problem). Analyzing the courses (in my opinion and that of my fellow diners), the appetizers were small, with appreciable flavors. The first course was scialatielli with clams and bottarga—unpresentable! The homemade pasta still had the flour clinging to it, creating a sort of tasteless mush that detracted from both the clams and the bottarga. The fried food was mediocre and low-quality (and arrived significantly late). Luckily, I ordered the oysters to satisfy my taste buds; they were delicious. I'm not even talking about the zuppa inglese, which was neither zuppa nor zuppa. I also found the price inadequate for the amount we consumed. Essentially, these notes are simply meant to encourage the family who runs the business to try to improve the quality of their work. P.S.: I went there because I found excellent reviews. Honestly, they're incomprehensible based on my experience.

18/10/2025: A true gem! As a culinary guide I get to enjoy a lot of good food and wine, but rarely ever is it as creative and delicious as here at Nello. Service is fantastic; super professional but not too formal. Must go if you’re in the area!

The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A place where you feel right at home, but with top-notch restaurant cuisine. Everything was wonderful, highly recommended!
