04/06/2026: I booked online, asking for a secluded table because we had our German Shepherd with us. They reserved a table for us on the grass, outside the dining room, and we had a wonderful time. The prosciutto was absolutely perfect, and the service was good, with young, friendly waiters.

03/06/2026: For our first time at Casa del Prosciutto Alberti, we had a wonderful time. The ingredients were exceptional, and the waiters were friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. We'll definitely be back.

09/06/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Da Boschet, and the experience was truly impeccable in every way, but what struck me most was the level of service. Omar, in particular, deserves special mention: professional, attentive, and always present without ever being intrusive. He has that rare ability to make you feel truly welcomed, effortlessly. His every touch—from his recommendations on dishes to the way he attends to the table—expresses passion for his work and great customer care. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the service flows seamlessly and contributes significantly to enjoying the cuisine, featuring dishes based on the freshest seafood. A place you'll gladly return to, also (and above all) for the way you're treated.

06/06/2026: Hidden away outside the central tourist districts, Bistro 51 is a local restaurant that serves absolutely outstanding, elevated food. I was served a regional sparkling wine as soon as I sat down; the waiter brought me an amuse bouché as the first course; I ordered the delicate scallops antipasto with a potato cream; this was followed by shrimp pasta and then an absolutely superb filet of tenderloin beef. If that wasn't enough, I had a minty tiramisu-like dessert, followed by complimentary limoncello (and the waiter had brought out some bread earlier to supplement the main courses). I also had a lovely sauvignon blanc along with my meal. The waiter was kind, professional and had many nice suggestions. He even politely dealt with my limited Italian language skills. I am glad I had a 30 minute walk back to my apartment to walk off such an amazing meal. I am also glad I took a chance to experience such a wonderful restaurant off the beaten track. This is my new go-to place in Trieste.

The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining how to create your own. The place is small, but on weeknights there's a better chance of finding a seat.

The pizza was really good and surprisingly affordable, but the real highlight was the wonderful signora — super friendly, funny, and full of stories (including her time in New York 😊). We ended up chatting, laughing, and even got a little tour - by the end it felt more like visiting someone than just going to a restaurant. A very warm and authentic experience. 01/05/2026: A top location that we travel all the way to Sacile for. Once again, a truly wonderful culinary experience. The sea bass carp and the Dover sole with green asparagus were simply perfect on every level. This is what high-quality Italian cuisine should taste like. And top-notch service to boot. 03/06/2026: It's always a pleasure to have lunch at Ivana & Secondo with my family, and, like every time, it was an extraordinary experience. I've known Luca and Umberto for years, and it's always a pleasure to see the passion with which they continue to run this special place. The appetizer tasting is simply out of this world: a constantly changing array of local flavors, always executed to perfection. The wine Luca recommended was also excellent, a wonderful discovery I hadn't heard of. To finish, the desserts were amazing, and the ever-present grappas. There are restaurants where you eat well, and then there are places like this, where quality, hospitality, and friendship come together to create something special. 31/05/2026: An oasis in the desert!! Expertly prepared ravioli with stew and venison ossobuco, impeccable service, a very extensive wine list, and exceptional kindness and attention. It was just what we needed after a long ride!
