06/05/2026: Fabulous lunch here on Monday afternoon. From beginning to end the food was exceptional. The staff were great and the wines recommended by the sommelier were fantastic. The chef came to the table to make a dish and I left with a wonderful keepsake. Fine dining but not at the expense of great flavours!

02/06/2026: A tiny little restaurant in the center of Mondolfo. There's street parking. Inside, there's room for about twenty people. The host is imposing and overflowing with charm. The menu offers a limited selection of traditional cuisine, but the portions are generous. The bill is inversely proportional to the portions! Totally recommended for informal dinners with hearty appetites.

The quality is always top-notch. The bread deserves a special mention: it's so good that it stays tasty even after several days, something increasingly rare. This gesture was greatly appreciated and demonstrates great customer care. Friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and great attention to dietary requirements. We'll definitely be back!

15/04/2026: A lovely place and very welcoming and friendly staff. Very attentive service throughout: the cover charge includes bread, a cloth napkin, a glass, and a chalice. Good quality food, freshly prepared by the chef. I had an excellent seafood menu: linguine allo scoglio and mixed fried seafood (with fish, not just calamari and shrimp). The restaurant also has a wood-fired oven, so I recommend trying the pizzas, which I've yet to try. Highly recommended!

At Ristorante Andreina, you can feel the attention to every detail, both in the dishes and the service. Thanks to the waiters, always kind and helpful, who explained everything clearly and patiently answered our questions. Especially Marco, who was truly attentive throughout the lunch. I also loved the moment when he took us on a tour to better explain Chef Errico Recanati's cuisine, showing us the grill area and the garden, with the herbs and products used in the dishes. A simple experience, but one that makes everything more authentic. Overall, it was a special lunch, in a refined and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you.

Everything is average, with nothing extraordinary, and paradoxically, that's the beauty of it. It's the trattoria I go to when I want to eat without any surprises. Prices are moderately low.

02/06/2026: Osteria Zanchetti in Fossombrone reveals itself as one of those taut human works of architecture where the design is noble, the intentions lofty, but the end result remains suspended in limbo, delicious but lacking the strength to truly captivate the heart. The style reflects the classic and rigorous orthodoxy of a Slow Food philosophy, moving within a space where time slows. The atmosphere is pleasant, intimate, and genuinely welcoming, enhanced by the courteous and attentive presence of its host. Outside, a beautiful courtyard opens up, a small open-air theater that, unfortunately, a sudden downpour made unusable just moments before our arrival. So we take refuge inside: a small, almost intimate space, yet pervaded by a sincere warmth. The welcome begins with a soft glass of pleasant rosé, offered to prepare the spirits for dinner, accompanied by their homemade bread, which, however, disappoints expectations and proves unpalatable. The local olive oil, served as a prelude, also proves to be of good quality but is lacking in character for those, like me, who seek a bold and vibrant statement in flavors. This oscillation between the subtle and the explicit is found throughout the menu, a score that alternates extremely delicate dishes with more vigorous bursts, in a transition that doesn't always find its perfect balance. The opening course is the Manza dell’oste, a variation of raw meat presented in three small piles, and the Apennine bison tataki. Both appetizers are meticulously crafted; they can't be described as bad, yet they lack the necessary spark to captivate the senses. The first courses are even more marked: the tacconi with creamed peas and Serra de' Conti grass peas are a decidedly disappointing and dull transition, while the hand-sealed cappelletti with caciotta cheese and black pepper are an excellent execution, a small masterpiece of balance and flavor. The same swing occurs with the main courses, where the baked quail expresses a delightful intensity, clearly superior to the rabbit loin in potacchio, which flows by without captivating. We're also in the middle of a rut when it comes to desserts. The Zeta Rocher, with its dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts, is very good, dense, and satisfying, while the New York - Cantiano... via Pechino, an attempt at cheesecake with black cherries and ice cream, turns out to be a failed experiment. A special mention goes to the wine cellar, not monumental in size but structured with an excellent quality-price ratio; our red, enriched by a few months in barrique, held its own with fine personality. The true and unexpected final caress comes with the Treasure Chest: those chocolate pralines proved delicious, a sweet and refined farewell. Perhaps the expectations were too high, or perhaps the unstable alternation between intense flavors and overly subtle nuances confused the path. Four stars of encouragement for an experience that just needs a little more courage.

30/03/2026: I went for dinner with my wife, relying on the restaurant's good reviews. I must say they were all positively confirmed. The menu, featuring local specialties, isn't overly extensive, which—I should point out—is always an added bonus for me (I'm wary of menus that last for pages), but it still offers a rich and varied selection. From appetizers to dessert, the dishes are interesting and beautifully presented. Specifically, we ordered two appetizers: cheese and egg balls (obligatory for mopping up the sauce) and golden, fried artichoke segments (good, more "ordinary"). Then I chose a first course, vincisgrassi, which were very interesting, first of all because instead of puff pastry, the chef chose crepes, and then a rich but balanced "filling." My wife, on the other hand, chose a second course, a very well-made stew with a hint of citrus (orange?) that was never overpowering but that gave a note of acidity and freshness to an otherwise complex dish. Finally, a dessert, donuts with cooked wine. We then accompanied the meal with a local red wine. The restaurant was small and welcoming, with very attentive and attentive service from the host and his wife, and the atmosphere, reminiscent of a wholesome old-fashioned (in the best sense of the word) but with modern touches, was very pleasant. I should also add that despite it being full, the acoustics were good and The soundproofing allowed us to chat without being disturbed by other tables. The price, finally, was extremely reasonable at less than €70.00 for two, making it highly recommended for a quality stop in Ascoli Piceno.
