03/06/2025: English: Beautiful evening in company, lots of good food and lots of laughter. Sherwood is a certainty for anyone and for any need you have. With friends we stopped during the asparagus festival, now an institution for Altedo. We ate very well and we found the guys serving us, witty, funny and very helpful. There were several of us and some wanted it one way, some another, they all accommodated us, even me who doesn't eat meat, fantastic sandwich full of vegetables with cheese and Tabasco, I loved it! Of course if you expect the service of a restaurant with ten seats well, maybe it's better to move on, but moving on the festivals, the street food in general, the good eating standing up or on the bench if you're lucky is for those who don't have too many expectations, for those who love a tired but sincere smile. Those who work in these squares (all of them) have very tight rhythms and not immediately comfortable conditions, and when despite this you find the desire to smile and make jokes continuously for me, for us, you've already won. So for me, applause to all of them who also have homemade products starting from the bread they make. Congratulations guys!

25/08/2025: I had a pretty bad meal... the pizza isn't even bad, but the "restaurant" dishes need a complete overhaul. I ordered tagliatelle with more oil than ragù. The owners, in my opinion, are rude to customers and non-customers alike. In fact, I saw a member of staff yelling at a waiter in front of everyone, and when we went to pay the bill, we could hear shouting coming from the kitchen. The place itself is nice, but it's a shame about the management and the food... I wouldn't go back.

04/03/2025: Mi è parso un po' sovrastimato, pietanze buone ma in dosi modeste e non poi così originali (parere personale), non una grande efficienza in sala ma accettabile. La cosa terrificante è stata l'acustica: a sala piena è impossibile un minimo di conversazione fra due persone senza urlare, a parte l'oggettivo fastidio; era presente la titolare, a cui lo abbiamo fatto notare "a mo' di battuta" la quale ha replicato che di solito non è così (impossibile: è proprio un difetto della sala, una cosa strutturale). Contento di averlo provato, ma tolto subito dalla lista e mai più tornato; nota: ho messo "2024" perchè la data più vecchia che consente il sistema, ma la mia esperienza era precedente di alcuni anni.

04/02/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times, and the food is excellent. Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review. I made a dinner reservation and tried to receive confirmation via email. I never received any confirmation. After several days, I was simply sent an automatic response (via Quandoo) about the cancellation of the reservation, without even providing any explanation. I'd say that's not how customers should be treated. Good food goes hand in hand with respect and good manners. P.S.: There's no point in sending emails; they don't respond, and calling is anyone's guess, since they're not even open for lunch.

08/06/2025: Esperienza terribile! Affettati di scarsa qualità. Cotoletta alla bolognese non era la ricetta originale. Friggione troppo speziato. Il prezzo alto per la qualità del cibo.

06/06/2025: Si presenta come locale con una storia popolare e importante dietro. Tutto direbbe poco fumo e tanta sostanza. Purtroppo il risultato è l'esatto contrario, e della vecchia bologna qui non è rimasto proprio niente. Servizio al tavolo scarso, crescentine buone ma poche, sottaceti di ultima categoria, piatto di affettati davvero da supermercato Lidl e sono già stato generoso. Bis di primi con 2, ripeto, 2 tortelloni, e tagliatelle al ragu' che...non sono tagliatelle, è un tagliolino stretto con ragu' che invece di avere soffritto in pentola la classica oretta...ci sarà stato una decina di minuti con risultato davvero scialbo, per essere carini. Dolci serviti male e brutti, oltretutto la zuppa inglese davvero ingiudicabile. Il conto finale è stato una beffa....non lo voglio neanche scrivere...ma davvero un brutto colpo alla decenza. Male, davvero male, e mi dispiace in particolar modo per i tavoli di turisti stranieri che vorrebbero pagare per immergersi nella bolognesità e invece.....

06/08/2025: I love this ice cream; ever since I was little, I used to go get it with my mother, especially the cream and whipped cream. I recommend the wonderful cream affogato, a delight.

31/07/2025: Prices were above average and the ice cream melted at a temperature that was not right.

17/08/2025: We discovered the restaurant by chance while passing by. We went there for dinner, and it was absolutely perfect. We got a table right away and were served right away. The food was fantastic, from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was also very good, and everything was reasonably priced. If we're ever in Bologna again, we'll definitely return to this restaurant.

04/08/2025: Tucked away in a historic courtyard, this osteria is a little underrated gem. The location is elegant in its simplicity: refined yet welcoming, it exudes a sense of peace and recalls the rhythms of times gone by. The cuisine is excellent, with generous portions and authentic flavors. Service is prompt and courteous, and prices are more than fair. A slice of true Bologna, in the heart and soul.

25/07/2025: !!TOURIST TRAP!! We wanted to eat somewhere a little ‘fancy’ and in the centre but were punished for it. We loved our time in Bologna apart from this place. The staff were unfriendly and the bill for 2 wines and 2 mains was €60. We had to go somewhere else (Osteria dell'Orsa - amazing food, service and prices!) after as we still hungry but didn’t want to give them any more money. Bologna has loads of better places to offer than this.

25/07/2025: A pleasant surprise for lunch in the center of Bologna. Excellent food quality, friendly and efficient staff, and unconventional cuisine. Highly recommended among the many touristy spots.

29/07/2025: If you're in Santa Viola, you have to try GabryPizza. We've been customers for a while and are very satisfied. The pizza is excellent, the prices are moderate to low. The staff and delivery guys are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

28/07/2025: Convenient hotel for reaching the center of San Giovanni in Persiceto and the Lamborghini Museum, which is just a few kilometers away, in just a few minutes. Clean rooms, but in need of some work. The mini-bar could use a refresher with a few more drinks and perhaps some snacks. The complimentary toiletries were well-stocked, although the shower cap box was empty. The reception staff were friendly and very courteous. The breakfast host was attentive, although he was a bit imprecise with what I requested. There's ample parking and disabled access. A special mention goes to the bed, which, despite being a single, was a very good size and comfortable. Lastly, I would have liked to find a pillow and blanket in the closet because, for personal reasons, I need to wrap up warm at night, so much so that I turned off the air conditioning.

17/07/2025: The shorter/bald manager (Massimo?) with the hand brace was quite rude and unprofessional. I am from the US on a business trip, and when we didn’t quite understand each other (I asked not to be seated next to the kitchen door where they were banging dishes around during the main dinner service (which is unprofessional in the first place considering the dining room has 22 of 25 tables open), in the dining room with other people he raised his voice and exclaims with his hand “DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?!” And made a scene in front of everyone. Obviously I speak English, it was intended to be a childish insult from a childish and small man, and was quite unprofessional and lacking of professionalism. The table they insisted I then sit at afterword was dirty, and the waiter brought me the wrong food after I specifically asked for the dish I saw someone else eating, which looked pretty good. I was too tired from travel and this childish behavior to insist on the correct order. The food wasn’t terrible, but every other meal I have had in Italy was far better. On another occasion I simply asked for “an extra pillow,” from the same guy, Massimo, since he was at the front desk, and you would think I was asking him to conduct rocket science by the difficulty and unsettling energy he brought to the encounter. Staring at me with crazy intense eyes like a weirdo. I don’t know how this place calls itself “4 stars,” when it is this outdated, inhospitable, and unkind in service, but I certainly will never stay here again. It isn’t difficult to be hospitable, it just takes intent, but if you have a childish and rude attitude, then you obviously shouldn’t be in this line of work, and perhaps need to see a therapist. This was a very poor stay for the money they charge compared with anywhere else in Europe I have been. In the 70+ nights I have stayed in a hotel in Europe, I have never encountered someone who acted so unprofessional and made my stay uncomfortable like this rude little man did. The two older gentleman working the kitchen/dining room, and lady at the desk were kind and professional however, as the only saving grace. Plenty of nicer and kinder places, (without tiny, old, uncomfortable beds) to spend your money.

20/07/2025: We had fried calamari and shrimp, which was amazing—hot, fresh, and tasty. Then a mixed grill of fish, with a generous amount of fresh sea bass. We ate for two and were full. This restaurant is truly worth it. The fish is prepared "as it once was," like in seafood restaurants, without the seasoning that covers the flavor. A slice of seafood in the city. Very good!

25/06/2025: We had dinner here by chance, and we were all pleasantly surprised by the goodness and quality of the fish dishes we had. Excellent wine list. Recommended

20/05/2025: I saw on Sunday morning of F1, a child who asked for the bathroom. (He had to pee urgently.). The bartender denied it to him, sending him to the chemical toilets. Dear bartender with a beard, you don't deny a child these things. Was it perhaps because of the 2 euros for not drinking? It was enough to say so. Then while the other bars were full with a queue, you were empty. There must be a reason... remember that one day you too may need it... every now and then I came there, and it seemed cleaner, with kinder staff.. For me it has changed management.... anyway never again. p.s: the child's father

17/05/2025: Very nice couple, very good cocktails and very welcoming staff, with a few euros more they give you a ton of food and this in my opinion makes a lot of difference. In addition to being polite and making very good cocktails they had the foresight to also think about the food issue.
