13/12/2024: Super friendly staff, very helpful even with our terrible Italian. Good vegan option which was the deconstructed quinoa burger. The chicken is also delicious. Very chill vibe inside and quality ingredients.

16/03/2025: I would like to point out that I limit myself to evaluating what I have and have seen and tried, not the cuisine as a whole. The seconds weren't bad. The pinsa (12.50 euros), with a mediocre dough, seemed to have been cooked in my home oven, and, a detail that personally struck me negatively, it was seasoned with olives containing stones. The tiramisu turned out to be a bowl full of mascarpone... I may be strange but I remembered the recipe differently. The cuisine is not terrible, mind you, however there is nothing that stands out for quality, originality or convenience, as happens in good trattorias, furthermore the attention to detail is below the alert level.

15/02/2025: I waited a few hours before writing this review because, once I got home, I felt some discomfort and wanted to be sure before writing it. Their pizza gave me intestinal bloating and I was forced to take Geffer in the middle of the night. It's a real shame because their pizza, in taste, was phenomenal and I gave the Diavola that they served me a personal rating of 9/10. The service however was terrible, I waited 45 minutes before eating and I don't know if it was due to the fact that it was Valentine's Day (14/02/25). The environment is nice with a particular industrial style. The pizzeria certainly has potential but given my experience I don't feel like recommending it.

I bought a cloth and the boy who touches the house with his hands without washing took a frozen cutlet with his free hands and put it in the fryer, from there he started wiping his nose because it was itching then he put his hands in his pockets to wait and when the cutlet was ready he started assembling the sandwich again without rinsing his hands or without a pair of gloves. The cloth would probably have been good too but I threw it away after paying for it. Hygiene first of all and let's hope that the owner ties it up. I also work locally and our manager doesn't even let us touch a cloth with our hands free. Pliers or gloves for kids

21/01/2025: Dopo tantissimi anni di assenza sono tornato al Gallo per un pranzo con amici. La fama che godeva, e che gode tuttora, di ottimo posto se si desidera mangiare carne è ampiamente meritata. Perfino con un tavolo particolarmente confusionario come il nostro il servizio è stato preciso e cortese. Una nota particolare per la tagliata, a dir poco eccellente, con la possibilità di un piccolo stravizio: farsi friggere lun uovo nell'olio di fondo dopo aver finito la carne! Vini di buona qualità. Opportuno prenotare perché è un locale molto frequentato. Conto coerente con la qualità servita.

22/11/2024: The second oldest license in Bologna, after the Osteria del Sole. A bar that has been managed by the same family for more than 100 years, if you pass by Via Castiglione, you must stop there!
