17/01/2026: After coming here for many years, I'm updating my review again with 5 stars 👍 The place has been renovated with an alternative design featuring beautiful colors. The food is even more gourmet with a lot of imagination, and both the fish and meat, both raw and cooked, are very good. I also recommend it for vegans; there's so much to discover. The staff is professional and the lady always friendly and wonderful. There's space for a wheelchair, and the bathrooms are clean too. Parking is unfortunately scarce, but you can find it in the adjacent alleys a few meters from the restaurant. I recommend it to everyone. 👍

09/03/2026: Not exactly what I expected from the "the food is great" stories, the menu's overly complicated and ambiguous combinations, and if people don't like almost anything, what do you do? Then the gluten-free menu is requested and not brought with the main courses... In short, there's a bit of disorganization throughout.

I've been frequenting this place for a while, and whether you're in a group, a couple, or alone, the experience has always been excellent. The strong point is definitely the staff: the waiters are always very kind and knowledgeable, and the owner is a real charmer who makes you feel welcome. Despite its pub-style format, the quality of the food is remarkable: from sandwiches to steak cuts, I've never been disappointed. The quality-price ratio is excellent, with very fair and competitive prices for what they offer. The location is well-kept in the classic American Graffiti style that never gets old. Highly recommended for those looking for a pleasant evening without any unpleasant surprises. 5 stars well deserved!

However, I would mention the service: a bit too informal and not up to par with the restaurant's reputation. It's clear they're well-prepared, but the overall result needs improvement, especially in terms of customer service, timing, attitude, and attention. See you soon!

15/03/2026: Osteria Satyricon is one of those places that warms your heart as soon as you step inside. It's not just a restaurant, it's a slice of authentic Bologna, where the hospitality is a given and quality is uncompromising. The first courses are simply sublime. Tortellini in broth taste like home, and tagliatelle with ragù are expertly prepared. The selection of second courses and side dishes is also excellent, with generous portions and the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is rustic, informal, and lively. It's the ideal place for an evening with friends or a relaxed dinner where you'll immediately feel at ease, surrounded by an atmosphere brimming with history and personality. The quality-price ratio is fair. Finding such refined cuisine at such reasonable prices in the city is not a given. If you want to experience a true Bolognese osteria, off the beaten track and with an authentic soul, Satyricon is the place to be. Highly recommended!

16/01/2026: One of the few credible trattorias left in Bologna. Friendly and attentive staff. Typical, traditional dishes, well-prepared. Prices are reasonable. The acoustics could be improved, as they can be a bit tricky at peak times. Definitely recommended. Reservations are recommended.

10/03/2026: The atmosphere is a bit noisy and could use some updating. The lasagna and Bolognese cutlet were truly excellent. The service was prompt and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Good value for money. I'll definitely be back!

20/10/2025: Hi, three stars, and I'll explain why later, but my rating is 8/10, and the positive assessment goes to the food and the staff. I gave it a 3 for the interior decor (which needs updating) and the slow service, which, however, is compensated by the quality of the dishes and the kindness of the staff. The first courses are exceptional.

19/03/2026: The pizza was awful, and my friend's pizza had a significant hole in it. Not to mention the rudeness of the staff, who couldn't do basic math and treated us downright rudely. The owner at least tried to resolve the issue his employee had created. Don't go there!
