The staff is amazing and welcoming. They encourage you to try to use italian and are very nice. The food is amazing, I recommend the green lasagna and the tortellini montegrappa. 💋💋Ciao!

My wife and I have wanted to see the beautiful city of Bologna for a long time. This time it worked on the way back from Tuscany. We couldn't have guessed in advance that we would find such a wonderful restaurant, "da Nello", purely by chance. The service is exceptionally friendly and is equally concerned about regular guests and walk-in customers. When many people wait for a table without a reservation, you show yourself to be flexible and prove that you have mastered the Italian art of improvisation. But the absolutely great thing about this place is the food. You can tell that everything is freshly prepared and cooked in-house using regional products. The wine recommendations are also 100% accurate, with regional specialties also available here. The restaurant seems very cozy and down-to-earth. The price is in the upper midfield, but this is more than justified given the quality. There is no disadvantage in making a reservation; English is also spoken perfectly.

Classico locale storico in centro a Bologna dove negli ultimi ottant’anni è praticamente passato il mondo. Si tratta del tipico ristorante collaudato con clientela mista dove è difficile rimanere insoddisfatti. La tavola di chi cerca certezze. Probabilmente un po’ caotico ma nel complesso un indirizzo di riferimento nel centro di Bologna.

What a good restaurant, we turned up last night for our 8pm reservation to find that our hotel had made it for the previous night (oops) Thankfully they managed to find us a table (on a very busy night) glad they could. Food and service was excellent, the lasagne was perfect as was the ribeye steak, house red was very drinkable. Big Thank you for getting us in and Yes, highly recommend you book.
