02/11/2025: This café is located along the bike and pedestrian path that leads from Porta Montanara to Parco degli Orti, a great stop for a delicious coffee. It's very popular on Sunday mornings during breakfast; the coffee was macchiato with very creamy organic milk. The atmosphere is renovated and very welcoming, and the space is well-utilized. There's also a tobacco corner, a TV, and a display case full of sweet and savory treats. The staff is very friendly, and the barista who made the coffee was very professional and courteous. Outside, there's a bright, enclosed terrace with glass windows. We loved it!

10/05/2025: Bakery with sweet and savory products in a small street in the center of Reggio Emilia. We took the local specialty, Erbazzone, in a lighter version, without garlic and lard and it was delicious! Very tasty thanks also to the parmesan in the preparation, it was also digestible. In particular, we were also struck by the kindness of the staff who, despite being rather crowded due to a festival taking place in the city, served each customer with care and kindness, even offering us some pizza samples while we waited. Passed with flying colors!

07/08/2025: From personal experience, having tried them all over Italy, I can say that the sushi is excellent. It's a shame about the three-portion limit for sashimi, but never mind, the sashimi was excellent too. It almost felt like I was at an à la carte restaurant. I recommend it!

01/12/2025: Best gluten-free piadina I've ever had, with the option of trying pinsa for those of us with celiac disease. There's also a wide selection for vegetarians. The staff is very friendly and the place is welcoming. I'll definitely be back.

23/09/2025: In the hills of Cesena, at Villa Monty Banks, you forget time and find yourself making "peace with the world," pampered by a competent and esteemed staff. Thanks to Fabio De Luigi, who, with the film he directed and starred in alongside Stefano Bonaccorsi, "50 Km All'Ora," where some scenes from the sweet, melancholic comedy were filmed, a couple of months ago my husband booked our vacation as a couple for the first two weeks of August, and there we found something we hadn't expected. An enviable location, overlooking a poetic and photographable panorama, from whose "terrace" you can enjoy an "impromptu" gourmet brunch or a relaxing aperitif, cheered all day by an ever-present breeze that, thanks to the beautiful centuries-old trees that frame the villa, managed to counteract the Saharan heat of early August. A welcoming, clean atmosphere, a tranquil atmosphere, and discreet background music ranging from Mina to Sinatra, from Modugno to Diana Krall, from Aznavour to Vanoni, offering a sense of relaxation in a period residence that its generous founder—the early 20th-century actor, dancer, director, and producer Mario Bianchi, aka Monty Banks—wanted to build as a place to return to with his wife, actress Gracie Fields, when they were in Italy, having moved to America from Cesena, where he found his fortune. More recently, while maintaining as much of its style and structure as possible, the residence has become a luxury agriturismo, with just 11 comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms. Guests can enjoy the products (worth buying!) that come from the surrounding lands, which the young and talented chef Alberto Pinelli (a self-effacing yet passionate culinary artist) reinterprets in the evenings in creative and exquisite dishes, which non-guests can also enjoy. Breakfast begins the day in an original way, a good morning that deserves to be enjoyed calmly and unhurriedly, on the romantic veranda filled with exotic and oriental-style plants, with the sounds of cicadas and birds creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere, and with authentic Italian flavors. An ideal good morning to prepare for visiting the worthy surroundings like Bertinoro, Cervia, Santarcangelo di Romagna, and Cesenatico, or to reach Rimini or Ravenna with a truly special guide, Arianna, who also takes care of welcoming guests. There's another feminine touch behind all this attention to detail: Erika, the hotel manager, is always present and available. I also forgot about the beautiful pool, a great place to cool off from the heat, another reason to laze around after a nice dip, reading a book, chatting, or simply recharging your batteries.

16/09/2025: Villa Monty Banks is a truly exceptional property, but what truly made our vacation special was the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff. They welcomed us with genuine generosity, pampering us and making us feel truly at home. The food at their restaurant, L'Agrosteria, is also excellent. Special thanks to Arianna, Debora, and Luca. We will definitely be back!

08/12/2025: Small and cozy place. I wanted to try the tigella with pancetta, parmesan, and balsamic vinegar, which was very good. The girls were friendly and the service was quick. I recommend at least trying it.

26/10/2025: Consistently excellent for years. Everything is delicious and varied: from pizza to pasta to meat. Excellent beers and wines. Quick and knowledgeable. Eugenio is a true host who will give you the best advice, as is tradition.

02/09/2025: The atmosphere was relaxed; we came this summer evening, and it was nice and cool; I loved the view and the ambiance. As for the food, we ordered two portions of falafel, two amatricianas, and a 1.2kg tomahawk. Everything was delicious: the falafel came with a slightly spicy sauce that went perfectly; I think the amatriciana is one of the best I've ever eaten, on par with those found in Rome. The tomahawk, what can I say, was simply out of this world, perfectly cooked, incredibly tender... This place is a guarantee for meat. We'll definitely be back to try the pizza; that looked very inviting, too! Regarding the service, we initially had a small problem: they forgot to take our order. I think that can happen, especially since they were really busy that night; despite that, they treated us very well; the staff was kind and attentive. As soon as they realized the mistake, they tried to fix it in every way possible. Truly appreciated!

21/11/2025: We went for lunch as a couple on a trip. It's a nice place for a trattoria, and if you're lucky enough to get a table near the window, the view is excellent. We knew the specialty was tortelloni in various combinations and the Florentine steak. We opted for appetizers, one of pinzini with mixed cured meats and a melted cheese with truffle. They were truly excellent. The truffle was black, so it wasn't particularly tasty, but there was plenty of it. The prosciutto was very good. They offered us a slice of fresh ricotta, which was very good and very welcome. We doubled the pinzini, which we thought were delicious and well-cooked. For the main course, the Florentine steak, for us since it was the first time, cooked at the table on the oil stone, was a real experience. The meat was exquisite... the only thing I didn't understand was whether the bone was from the bone. The side dish was baked potatoes, cooked in too much oil, almost fried, but they could be better cooked. They give you menus, including a well-sourced wine list at reasonable prices for all budgets. The service is coordinated by a very friendly and kind hostess, along with several assistants. Nothing to complain about, and the timing is spot on. For dessert, they offer their almond tart; we bought a bag to take home. The bill was around €45 per person.
