07/12/2024: Guys, always choose a place that is according to your wishes. And please if you are in a place don't give bad reviews. I think this is the biggest bar in Bologna. They have enough space. And if you find yourself in the bigger place, be patient. They will survive you in the rush. Instead of leaving bad reviews, choose another place. Or if you are in their place, be kind and leave good reviews with a smile. I am 100% sure that this is a memorable place for everyone. Also close to Porta San Luca and the Stadium. If there is a rush it means that people love this place. I will recommend this place and will return.

29/12/2024: Every now and then I return to this ancient trattoria, where the environment and spirit that distinguished Bolognese trattorias still remain. Everyone was very kind, the food was very good and mostly homemade, excellent value for money. Roast beef always excellent. I hope it stays that way for a long time to come

21/12/2024: 🇪🇸 In all likelihood this is the best place in the entire city to taste quality burgers made with style and creativity. The owners are young and have very good ideas in their menus and have quite a few proposals. There is a choice of beers as well. It is the ideal place to dine with your partner or even with friends. It has a lot of space in the outside patio, be careful because you may get cold in winter. Unfortunately there is not much space inside and practically the entire place takes place outdoors. The spring and summer season is the best of all and you will not be able to sit without a reservation through the App. The reservation service is very good. The prices are moderately high, but it is still worth it because it is not just any Mec.

25/08/2024: Best ice cream 🍦. The only downside is the gentleman who served one of us gave us so much attitude and very rude i have put a photo of him! The lady who served me she was very kind and welcoming :) . I definitely recommend this place just this young man needs to learn customer service and not be rude!

16/12/2024: Non pensavo di scrivere mai una recensione così. Prenoto con largo anticipo per sabato 14 dicembre a cena. Mi arriva conferma per mail e poi anche via whatsapp. Il giorno 14 parto di casa e faccio circa 1 ora di auto che è la distanza tra casa mia e la Mentana. Arrivo e trovo tutto chiuso e spento. Attendo 15 minuti e poi provo a chiamare ma il numero è staccato. Scrivo su whatsapp per sapere se avessero cambiato entrata ma nessuna risposta né per messaggi né telefonica. Giro a piedi per il paese di Mercato Saraceno, magari hanno ritardato l’apertura ho pensato….ma dopo 1 ora al freddo e senza riuscire a mettermi in contatto con il ristorante risalgo in auto e faccio un altro ora per rientrare. Mi sono fermato a prendere una pizza da asporto, il sabato sera in Romagna all ultimo non è semplice trovare posto. Spero non sia capitato nulla di grave alla Mentana e al suo personale per aver trovato chiuso ma non avere avvisato della chiusura lo ritengo davvero una mancanza di rispetto e professionalità. Non è per le spese del viaggio a vuoto, autostrada ecc. ma sono passati 2 giorni e non riesco ad avere una spiegazione né per mail, né telefono o whatsapp, questo rende davvero surreale questa situazione. Ho mangiato bene alla Mentana quando siamo stati ma questa situazione mi ha davvero lasciato con l amaro in bocca.

29/11/2024: It was not possible for us to go here because my reservation was canceled just 24 hours in advance as the owner stated in a message that he had no staff for the job. Which is unacceptable to me. I won't try to go there in the future.

22/12/2024: Purtroppo il cibo discreto è stato offuscato da un pessimo servizio e dalla maleducazione e la poca professionalità del proprietario. Prima che finissimo di mangiare il cameriere ha portato via i nostri piatti e ci è stato chiesto se potevamo pagare il conto perché dovevano dare il tavolo ad altre persone.... che dire, a mai più rivederci

17/12/2024: frequento molti ristoranti per lavoro e piacere e mai in vita mia mi era capitato di essere trattata con così superficialità dai camerieri . Il primo cameriere non ha scritto quello che avevamo ordinato (eravamo in sei ) e ha dimenticato perfino un commensale ( probabilmente aveva fretta !!.) Richiamato dopo 15 minuti , abbiamo ordinato di nuovo con non poche difficoltà . Dopo è passata un’altra cameriera molto maleducata, che non solo non si è scusata , ma ha fatto delle battute incomprensibili sulle nostre legittime lamentele . L antipasto è pessimo (pezzettini di mortadella e parmigiano ); il filetto anche (uno non è stato mangiato e l ‘altro rimandato indietro perché sbagliato (non era all’aceto balsamico ). I contorni del bollito sono stati portati a tavola al momento dell’antipasto !!!! Purè compreso … quindi era tutto freddo . Il bollito si salva , ma niente di che. Tra l altro il locale non sembra molto pulito ; bicchieri opachi , piatti dozzinali … è stata un’esperienza raccapricciante . A tavola , abbiamo chiesto del pane senza glutine e in decaffeinato ; non lo avevano !!! Inaccettabile nel 2024 . Nessuno si è scusato con noi, del disagio arrecato : abbiamo pagato tutto il conto , anche quello che non avevamo mangiato . Dei prezzi non ne parlo, perché non ritengo accettabile andare in un ristorante del genere : abbiamo speso dei soldi per una serata da incubo con prezzi anche ‘alti’.

21/07/2024: Unleavened crescents Bolognese cutlet? No as it is made from turkey (hard) and not according to the Bolognese tradition with veal rump Tortellini swimming in cream cheese 1 glass of wine???? 10ml Mosquitoes galore in the internal room where with the door open you couldn't even feel the air conditioning Price? 2 crescentine, 1 first course and 1 second course €120!!!! Never again!!!

Instead, we find ourselves faced with a pleasant and elegant restaurant, but without being excessively rigid and geared towards refinement. The environment is welcoming and refined, which makes L'Umarell the right destination for a special evening or a convivial meal. The menu follows the Bolognese tradition, with typical local cuisine prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients but you can also find a selection of both fish and meat-based dishes, which are equally delicious and with attention to the smallest details. The wine list is a real strong point of the restaurant, with a vast selection of local and international labels, which perfectly match the dishes on the menu. 11/08/2024: The ice cream was excellent and the price very reasonable. There are not many flavors but everything we tried was perfect. One of the best gelatos I have ever tasted in Italy. Our favorite flavor was pergamont

15/07/2024: Small laboratory and little alternative regarding tastes but of excellent quality. The prices are also excellent and the woman behind the counter is absolutely exquisite too

12/12/2024: Booked Sunday lunch with friends, 8 people including 2 children under 10 years old. The place isn't full, there's us, another table of a dozen kids and a table with two people. The owner serves us in a not exactly welcoming way. The menu is rich, but the pantry, we will notice, is not as rich!! Instead of informing us first of unavailable dishes, the waiter waits for our choices to communicate what is missing. In the end they are missing: lasagne, roast rabbit, roast veal, trifle. Meh! 3 platters with fried gnocco, cured meats (low quality) and a piece of Erbazzone, 8 first courses (fair), 7 second courses (without infamy and without praise), 2 bottles of Sangiovese, water, 5 desserts and 6 coffees. €42 each. Definitely exaggerated for the quality of the service and the lack of dishes on the verified menu.

05/12/2024: Excellent lunch break in a traditional restaurant. Superb starter of cured meats and fried gnocco. The two first courses were excellent: pumpkin tortello and cappelletto in broth. Honest account and fast service. Well done

27/12/2024: Definitely one of the best breweries in Emilia Romagna. You are spoiled for choice and if you are not a connoisseur you will let yourself be guided by the managers. The choice of whiskey is also excellent. Thank you

11/12/2024: Terrible, I went to dinner with friends some time ago, they got my pizza wrong (they brought me a Mexican one instead of a vegetarian one😕, it takes a lot, eh). The right pizza arrived after everyone at the table had already finished eating. I start eating the pizza alone and on the second slice I find a piece of transparent plastic (the one from the salad so to speak) under the mozzarella. Because of the shame I felt for them, I couldn't even say anything to them, and I left with the conviction of never coming back. I will continue to advise against it to anyone. Learn to work I hope they have changed management
