We had lunch at the inn and I must say we had a great time. The place is beautiful, with a very suggestive summer setting (a beautiful view of the Reggio Emilia Apennines) and a view of the Bismantova stone. We were welcomed with kindness and professionalism. The presence of our dog, Blacky, was not a problem. Traditional cuisine, but also something special. Very good wines. The prices are excellent considering the high quality. We returned a second time, remembering the good impression we had the first time. Everything confirmed, a beautiful place, where you feel comfortable (I recommend it). No one should be offended (it's where we stayed best in the area). A special thanks to Marzia for her kindness.

Family lunch at this restaurant with a stunning view of the Pietra di Bismantova. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the welcome, the cuisine, and the friendliness of both the owner, Marzia, and the service from the young and smiling Giulia. And what can I say about the dishes cooked by Sonia and Rachida...🔝!!! Highly recommended!!!

I'm not one to write random reviews. I travel all over Italy for work, and when I'm in the area, I always choose this place. If you walk around Castelnuovo Ne Monti and ask where to eat, everyone suggests this place. There must be a reason... Eating nothing but the right portions, carefully prepared, excellent-quality dishes, I've never spent more than I expected, in fact, always much less. There's definitely great professionalism and attention to ingredients, dishes cooked with passion and high-quality raw materials. Anyone who makes random comments should perhaps go shopping, add in the preparation time, service, plating, and then do the math. Everything is excellent, great professionalism, the right choice of dishes to present, the few dishes mean quality and freshness, 100% professionalism. Marzia is an excellent hostess, and I only get excellent marks for her and the staff. The view of the stone comes after all this. Highly recommended.

We didn't use the rooms, but we ate at the restaurant for Sunday lunch. The food was good, excellent quality, and not a huge selection, but it's the Montanari dishes that everyone loves. When the restaurant is full, it seats about fifty people, and the service isn't the fastest, but you shouldn't be in a hurry on vacation. Very satisfied. Unfortunately, it was foggy, but the view of the stone is wonderful.

We were there for New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time! Simple yet meticulously prepared dishes, generous portions. The wine list is excellent, with a wide selection and a focus on small, local producers. We really appreciated the speed and efficiency of the service, with particularly friendly young waiters. Excellent value for money! Beautiful location with a stunning view of the Apennines. We'll be back!

I've been coming here for lunch every now and then for over a decade, mostly because of the location. The place is beautiful, the food is decent, and the service is friendly. Over time, however, the prices, never cheap, have risen (consider between €50 and €60 per person for an average meal without buying expensive bottles), and the portions are quite small. The dining room is cozy but very noisy due to the echoing sound. I must say that prices have risen significantly in the area. La Pietra is beautiful and has been rediscovered, but we're not in the Dolomites, and it's starting to get a bit overpriced, especially since the menu is limited and the quality of the dishes isn't particularly memorable.
