09/03/2025: There were 5 of us and the reception was really bad. At the entrance we asked a man, who said he was the owner, if there was availability for 5 people. We also told him that it was the owner of the hotel a few kilometers away who sent us to them, but his response was anything but friendly: "Even if the Pope had sent you, nothing would have changed." There was a free table, perhaps booked, but in the end he placed us there. No one ever arrived to occupy it, at most one family joined our table. During dinner, every time we asked for something, he seemed annoyed, as if he was doing us a favor by serving us. I don't think it's good to behave so rudely Nothing to say about the food and drinks, everything was discreet. But the "owner" even less so.

18/02/2025: I came across it by chance while passing through the hospital, and I found myself in front of an old-fashioned place, very well furnished. Fine, but at the same time intimate. I love the attention to detail that goes into the bar. And the coffee is spatial: the natural sweetness of the coffee is enhanced, and the resulting result is a perfect balance between the intensity and the delicate acidity of the aroma. I have never tried such a particular espresso, completely different from the many that I have enjoyed over time. Already, this little corner of Piacenza has everything it takes to become my favorite bar in the city. The lady's kiss is also delicious, just as the staff is delicious; they inspire confidence.

02/04/2025: Prices too high for what we ate and drank. There were 11 of us and we spent a good €55 each, taking starters, borlenghi and tugelle. The only meat was three dishes of stewed wild boar. The prices were really too salty. The dishes are good, nothing to say about that. Simple location. Not good 🫤

26/03/2025: With some family we wanted to try borlenghi and we came across this restaurant. We all had a first course and personally I tried the gramigna with sausage, it was good! As for the borlenghi, I tried the traditional one and the one with mushrooms, although the traditional one beats everything, because it is thin, crunchy and tasty. For dessert, the mascarpone cream is truly super. The place inside is not very large, but it has several tables, even if a little close to each other. The real flaw however was the staff, even though they were all very kind, they made a huge mess with the dishes. Some first courses arrived early, others later, as did the borlenghi, they all arrived at different times and the dishes gradually cooled. I understand that there were a lot of people, but it has never happened to me elsewhere even with rooms full of people. 🤷🏻

In my opinion it is an enviable initiative but if you are not a regular customer in my opinion the choice can be difficult and sometimes chaotic. The possibility of choosing different types of bread products is excellent. Pros: wide choice of ingredients, good meat and excellent bread. Cons: Service could be improved, we arrived to an empty place but we waited about 30 minutes before eating (they had a lot of takeaways) generally it is not a problem to wait but when ordering it would be enough to inform the customer correctly. The fries that were just served with the quado burger were already cold. Overall I recommend it and will definitely return.

13/04/2025: Irish pub near the center of Carpi, suitable for those who don't like fashionable environments and prefer an easy mood. The beautiful retro look with dark wood, Guinness posters, a telephone booth and comfortable sofas catches the eye. The cakes (when present) are delicious, the drinks menu has something for all tastes, the cocktails are well made and the prices are correct. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is mediocre, the service is inconsistent and the cleanliness is questionable: here they are so dog friendly that the owner's dog is allowed into the kitchen. Furthermore, attendance is sometimes not the best. To date it only deserves three stars, as not only is the furniture increasingly ruined, but they have stopped organizing live music evenings (jazz) as was the case until a few years ago. If at least these two aspects were improved, it would return to being an inviting place to spend a pleasant evening, but the management doesn't give the impression of caring at all. A real shame.

Starter of mixed cold cuts with tigelle and crescentine, tagliatella with ragù, 2 cuts of beef and baked potatoes, all delicious, 1/4 of house red wine and a bottle of water and a coffee €85. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. GOOD. A special applause to the red-haired girl, very nice and kind, a compliment for her earrings.
