10/01/2026: The area is very picturesque. As you approach from the winding road, the Rocca di San Leo, dating back to the mid-1400s, stands overhanging the hilltop and is breathtaking. The "La Rocca" restaurant and inn is located in this setting.

The food was very good, the service was super friendly... it's a shame there were perhaps a few staff members for the number of tables they had to cover, so service was a bit slow when the place was full. Aside from that small complaint, we had a great time and will definitely be back.

09/01/2026: I dined at this agriturismo on a hot and muggy August day in Reggio Emilia. To escape the heat of the Po Valley, my girlfriend and I drove about an hour, and it was absolutely worth it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a spectacular view of the hills, a panorama that alone makes the trip worthwhile. The location is elegant and meticulously maintained, with a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. The fresh hill air quickly made us forget the heat of the day. The menu offers traditional Emilian dishes with a touch of originality. For appetizers, I chose gnocco fritto and cured meats, both excellent quality and authentic in flavor. I also tried the fried erbazzone: an interesting and tasty version, although, as a true Reggio Emilia native, I admit the original remains unbeatable. My girlfriend opted for the cappellacci stuffed with venison and parmesan cream: a rich, balanced, and flavorful dish. I instead ordered the fillet with balsamic vinegar, incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. To finish, we treated ourselves to two desserts, both delicious and beautifully presented. The bill, including still water, came to €85.50 for two: a fair price considering the quality, location, and service. All in all, a truly enjoyable experience in every way. We returned home satisfied and eager to return as soon as possible, perhaps to try other dishes on the menu.

19/11/2025: Very nice and friendly accommodation. Only the poor soundproofing (inside the house, from the gravel parking lot due to arriving cars and from the passing cars on the adjacent main road) and the resulting lack of sleep justify the star deduction.

The interior is wonderful: warm, welcoming, and full of character, with that authentic pub atmosphere that immediately makes you want to stay longer than expected. Sitting outside is also pleasant when the weather permits. The burgers are slightly higher than average, but the quality fully justifies the cost: well-chosen ingredients and memorable flavors. The selection of beers is also excellent, unique and well-diversified, perfect to accompany the meal. The appetizers are also very good, and I even appreciated the coffee, a detail not always found in a pub. It's one of those places where you can relax without rushing, ideal for enjoying an evening with friends, chatting and sharing stories over a delicious meal. I can't wait to return to explore the rest of the menu and discover what else this successful establishment has to offer.

04/03/2026: The friendliness we found at this bar was unparalleled. The waiter who took our order was truly kind and professional, always smiling and extremely polite. We came for an aperitif and were pleasantly surprised not only by the staff's enthusiasm but also by the abundance of "appetizers" they brought us for an Aperol Spritz and a Coke! What was supposed to be a simple aperitif turned into a truly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back! Thank you.

01/03/2026: A delightful trattoria in a small hamlet of "Ponte dell'olio," nestled in the Piacenza hills. A very pleasant welcome. The atmosphere is pleasant and well-maintained. The menu offers a good selection, not just traditional dishes. The desserts, in my opinion, are truly delicious and made with excellent pastry. The cured meats deserve special mention. I think they are among the best I've ever tasted. Our group included people from Emilia, Romagna, and even Lombardy and Liguria. Everyone agreed: the cured meats were of the highest quality and delicious, as was the Gorgonzola. The table service is excellent: professional, courteous, and always smiling. I highly recommend them.

01/02/2026: Finally, a real bortellina!!! Crispy, golden, delicious, and just the right amount of greasy. I tried the bortellina filled with burrata and anchovies, and it was excellent. The cured meats were also very flavorful. The goose breast with orange and pink peppercorn sauce was good; perhaps I'd use less sauce to accentuate the flavor of the meat, but it's a matter of personal preference. The ganassino was also appreciated. Finally, we tried the desserts. The nougat semifreddo with raspberry sauce was delicious, and the frozen zabaglione semifreddo with port wine was a very original pairing, and it was a perfect match. The staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate any needs. The place is welcoming and finally the right temperature for winter. I hate eating in the cold, and it seems like heat in restaurants is now an optional extra. They have a very cute, heated outdoor veranda, enclosed by a full-length glass wall. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back and will recommend it to friends and acquaintances.
