A tavern where you can breathe in history and enjoy good food.
The current owner (his former reputation precedes him) is a bit rigid, yet remains very kind about some of the rules he enforces in his establishment. For example, variations to the dishes described on the menu are not permitted.
Once, I had the audacity and optimism to show up without a reservation, but I was politely turned away. My suggestion to eat at the counter was in vain because: "It's not something we do."
A few nights ago, we got up from the table and went to the counter for the bill. The
lady who was making it asked us if we wanted coffee. Out of politeness, I immediately declined.
But where were we supposed to have it? At the counter? It would have been better if she had asked me at the table, but in fact I told her: "No, thanks, we're all out."
In any case, the food is always very good.

A beautiful place, nestled in the silence and colors of the Modena countryside, with a warm welcome and service of time-honored courtesy (what a pleasure!) and great professionalism. The menu offers a reasonable number of dishes, mostly authentic to the local area and truly well-prepared. A delightful evening! We'll be back often.

I had a fun time learning how they create balsamic. You can really see how passionate they are, and that added to my appreciation to how well crafted each bottle was made

An unforgettably delicious meal that we will talk about for years to come. Wonderfully kind staff, a talented kitchen brigade, and a lovely outdoor setting under the pergola are the foundations of this incredible gem. We adored the vegetable flan and every subsequent course, not to mention the Lambrusco di Sorbara. A place to return to, again and again, with people we love. Grazie infinite!
I loved it.
Location: 10. The building and the village date back to 1495, and the inn dates back to 1862 and has been run, as it is today, by the Pedroni family.
The interior and exterior, although renovated, retain the spirit of the times.
Menu: superb, with typical local dishes and top-quality ingredients.
A must-try is the vegetable flan with 24-year-old balsamic vinegar, an ingredient in many dishes, as they produce their own DOP balsamic vinegar, which is available for purchase.
Service: 10. Young, friendly, and professional staff.
Average price for the quality of the offerings.
When an osteria produces its own balsamic vinegar, the culinary experience is elevated because the product isn't just a condiment, but the chef's signature on every dish.
It's a classic place that proves that tradition, when cultivated with passion, never goes out of style.
I went back today and my expectations were more than exceeded. The summer atmosphere and beautiful day make you leave longing to return. ❤️

Very nice restaurant, especially the outdoor seating. The food is excellent! I had the gnocchi with parmesan and fossa sauce, which were simply spectacular. Highly recommended.

An excellent traditional osteria and vinegar producer, with an outdoor garden and attentive, professional service. Delicious dishes, and don't miss the gelato with traditional Modena vinegar.
