13/05/2026: Very good pinsa, tasty and rich, with a nice variety of flavors to try. The service is friendly and quick, and the prices are fair. For us, coming from the lower valley, it's a bit far, but it's a nice place, the pinsa is excellent... a little tourist-gastronomic tour is in order. The location is spectacular and there are plenty of parking spaces. Everything was perfect, we'll definitely be back many more times. Recommended pinsas? Bismarck, Lombarda, four cheeses... and then all the others!

04/05/2026: Very cute and well-kept place! Easy to get to, parking available. Menu with local specialties and pizzas! We sampled the cuisine, all the dishes were excellent! We didn't have a chance to try the pizzas, but they looked amazing! Friendly and helpful staff! Service is organized into two shifts, reservations are highly recommended because they sell out quickly! Thank you, and see you next time!!

23/04/2026: Terrible service. Perhaps the girls working in the dining room have no idea what it's like to be a waiter: not a smile, completely pissed off, dishes taken away unfinished... this job is primarily about kindness: they're not even close. The pizza is good, as are the rest of the dishes, but two such rude girls in the dining room ruin everything. They should learn from the guy at the counter, who is very kind. Advice: Change the dining room staff as soon as possible to offer customers dignified and respectful service.

03/05/2026: Great experience. Upon the friendly and professional waiter's recommendation, my spouse and I shared a rib steak that was tender and tasty. For two, the salad was a tiny bit small, but bear in mind that was a dish for one person. We followed our meal with a tiramisú, then another; it was just too good. The restaurant is in a little quiet street. Very pleasant experience throughout.

22/12/2025: So I'll start by saying I'm deeply shocked, perhaps because I had high expectations, perhaps because of the restaurant's social and architectural ambience, perhaps because I'd read the reviews. The beetroot and pumpkin appetizer was good, but man, the main course, the chicken nugget (the second most expensive, by the way), was incredibly fatty. I've truly never eaten such a fatty dish, devoid of any crunch (I was hoping for chicken skin, but instead it was terribly moist and mushy). A cream of corn, butter, and potatoes, and bitter mushrooms—all lacking in consistency, just terribly mushy. But up to that point, it was still okay. The problem was the little bones of cartilage or something, which crunched between your teeth when you bit into the chicken. Needless to say, I couldn't finish it, and I'm not going to be disgusted by chicken. The dessert was quite good. The waiters were nice, but a little too confused and out of place for where they work. But that chicken really traumatized me, never again.

01/03/2026: We vacationed in Courmayeur, and unfortunately we only stayed at Baita Ermitage on the last night of our stay, because I'm sure it would have been our regular stop. Baita Ermitage is the kind of place you look for on a typical day in the mountains, perhaps after a long, tiring ski trip: a traditional refuge full of stories, where you're welcomed and pampered by the staff and where you can refuel with traditional Aosta Valley cuisine. Every dish we ordered had the flavor of the Aosta Valley; the portions are generous, and the price is fair for the quantity and quality offered. The view is breathtaking at night, let alone during the day...

27/02/2026: We came here because a friend recommended it, and I'm really happy with it! The owner picked us up at the Courmayeur Hotel and took us there. For appetizers, we had the apple salad (excellent), the salmon trout (of the day and also very good), the tomini with chives (good), and the fondue rolls (basic, but good). For main courses, we had polenta with rabbit, polenta with mushrooms, and a paillarde, all very good. It's very easy to talk, there's not a lot of noise, and it's suitable for groups of 1 to 10 or more. The setting is beautiful, in the stone, typical of a mountain hut. However, the desserts leave much to be desired. The tiramasu, instead of having mascarpone cream and coffee, had yellow lemon cream and chocolate. The chestnuts with cream tasted like nothing, but the warm raspberries with ice cream were very good. Overall, the restaurant has many strong points, but one weakness: the desserts.

There's no written menu; you eat what's brought to you with a smile, drink good wine, and be transported straight to the local customs. Well done, Angie! 10/09/2025: It's a great blessing to be able to find such a restaurant—authentic in the best sense of the word. Real people, real hospitality, and real food. A truly simple and rustic ambiance. But Angie's relaxed warmth prepares you for the consistently impeccable quality of all the food and drinks. Every course is a reminder of the qualities that "Mother's kitchen" used to have. Everything is based on regional ingredients, skillfully and unpretentiously prepared on the wood-fired stove. I've visited several Michelin-starred restaurants, but I've never left one as satisfied and completely happy as this cantina. The fact that the price to be paid for such a delightful evening in a Michelin-starred restaurant would barely cover dessert is just a footnote. Thank you for your hospitality, Angie

16/04/2026: Truly the best coffee I've ever had, the Maison coffee. The cream croissant was spectacular. They also have vegan pastries available. The waiter was incredibly friendly.

20/03/2026: The place look good, as well as the food. But I got a bad experience with the reservation an table management, we went at 8 to book a table, that they book for us at 9, when we arrive they said that the customers of the table were about to finish so we wait 5 min outside, and in this 5 minutes they gave the table to another group and told us that we would need to wait to another table to get free. The basically did not care about our reservation, priority and time. What it is unfortunate because we really wanted to try their food, but we where not going to wait undefinit time because they jump/push out reservation.
