13/07/2025: Très beau restaurant, décor soigné. La cuisine est raffinée et le choix des vins intéressant. Le service est moyen car le sourire ne semble pas être la marque du lieu. Néanmoins, si vous logez dans le village ou dans la forteresse, c’est ce restaurant qu’il faut choisir.

05/08/2025: We had lunch at this lovely refuge after a hike in the area. The food was good and quite plentiful. Prices were decent! The staff who served us were very friendly! The only downside...our four-legged friends aren't allowed in. :(

01/08/2025: A welcoming place that can be reached easily without much effort. The food is good and the staff is friendly. When it's dark and clear, you can admire numerous stars thanks to its location in a valley free of light pollution.

19/08/2025: Easy to find, right on a busy road, very spacious, and with plenty of seating, for better or worse. The service was decent, the food unremarkable, and everything was average, though overall the onion soup was a truly enjoyable experience. Street parking isn't ideal (according to the signage, all the spots are reserved for businesses, but I noticed that in the evenings, when businesses are closed, they rightfully serve as free parking). I'll be back to try the pizza. The staff, however, is very friendly, especially when booking.

24/08/2025: A beautiful and well-kept place, with kind and welcoming staff and truly exceptional food! The prices are fair and reasonable: in my opinion, it's one of the best places in the valley for those who want to enjoy traditional, home-cooked cuisine, prepared with authentic and exquisite ingredients. Highly recommended!

29/07/2025: This restaurant is certainly very well-regarded in its image, the professionalism of its staff, and its attention to interior detail has even earned excellent reviews. But my wife and I entered with some doubts about the menu, which didn't offer a wide selection of classic local dishes except for the platters of cured meats and cheeses that obviously all restaurants serve. We ordered a rosti with bacon and egg, which was quite good but a simple dish, then a stew on polenta slices with prunes and pine nuts. I found the quantity of meat a bit sparse and perhaps the flavor a bit too sweet, but overall it was enjoyable. My wife ordered the venison steak, which she'd eaten at other restaurants and which she likes. The dish was beautifully plated, but I'm sorry, the flavor was lacking and the consistency was slimy; she couldn't finish it. I'm sorry, but we weren't satisfied with the quality of the dishes, which were beautiful but lacked flavor. We won't be returning.

18/08/2025: It's a very nice and original concept. Being able to eat after cooking raclette, bourguignonne, or fondue at the table yourself. Also excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful. It's a shame the exhaust system doesn't work well, so you come out smelling like a slice of meat covered in cheese. If they invested in improving this aspect, I'd gladly return.

09/08/2025: Stunning location, delicious food, but...don't touch the 90-euro rooster centerpieces! As soon as we arrived, seeing two children, they rudely snatched away delicate items that could have been broken. I understand the concern, but everything could have been handled with more elegance, which is desirable for a renowned place like this. Otherwise, we'd like to point out that children are not welcome; it would make a better impression! Not recommended for those who can't eat gluten-free or lactose-free, as there's very little to no gluten.

02/09/2025: We were on vacation in Courmayeur and stumbled upon this place for lunch. The sandwiches are excellent, large and well-filled. The owner, Michele, is kind and very helpful, and we had a pleasant chat. We had a great time, highly recommended 🥰

13/08/2025: A half-hour walk up a mule track (no strollers) takes you to this beautiful setting surrounded by greenery, with a truly evocative view. The owners are excellent, friendly and welcoming. The food is superb, authentic, and made with passion. The quality/price ratio is incredible, especially these days. For €50 for two, we ate everything from appetizer to dessert, and we were bursting at the seams! Exceptional local products, fresh homemade bread, and good wine too. See you soon, I hope, thank you.

24/07/2025: A hidden gem in the Aosta Valley! Hotel Crabun offers warm hospitality, cozy rooms, and breathtaking mountain views. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff are kind and helpful, and the food is a real highlight: local, fresh, and delicious. A perfect blend of comfort and alpine charm. Would absolutely stay again!

05/06/2025: This place is incredible! Not only is it beautiful, but it's also incredibly warm and welcoming, with excellent food and a high level of comfort. The big plus is that it welcomes dogs. It's not just a shelter; it's a delightful restaurant in a corner of paradise!

05/06/2025: We spent a pleasant evening and night at Rifugio Barma. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is friendly and (special mention) the cuisine is excellent.

20/04/2025: In addition to Daniela's hospitality and warm welcome, this restaurant deserves much more than five stars. The menu is full of interesting proposals, and in each dish you can perceive the freshness of the ingredients and the care with which the combinations were thought out. An unexpected surprise: a little jewel where typical flavors are transformed into never banal creations. Absolutely recommended.

23/02/2025: Abbiamo pranzato davvero bene in Valle d’Aosta. L’antipasto di puntarelle rivisitato con pere, melograno e mandorle è stato una sorpresa piacevolissima e ben equilibrata. La polenta concia ottima, cremosa e ricca di sapore, mentre lo spezzatino di cinghiale, tenero e gustoso, si accompagnava perfettamente a contorni semplici ma ben cucinati. La ragazza che ci ha serviti è stata molto gentile. Un posto che vale sicuramente la pena provare per chi cerca piatti fatti come si deve.

27/08/2025: We found this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised!! The food is truly EXCELLENT! I had the gnocchi with Aosta blue cheese and my boyfriend had the agnolotti in walnut cream. What can I say... Both were mouth-watering 😋 Unfortunately, we're just passing through this beautiful region, but we highly recommend it!!
