19/12/2023: I am yet not sure whether I ended up in a “torture site” or in a mountains hotel… 1. UNBEARABLE NOISE/DISTURBANCE FELT LIKE A NOISE/SOUND TORTURE -> NO SLEEP/NO RELAX: there was two sources of noise/disturbance that will NOT allow you to sleep and that the reception/reservations Marika will hide from you even if you ask: 1.a. ROAD: The road in front of the hotel is extremely noisy as it is the main artery that crosses Courmayeur and the windows’ frames are ZERO INSULATING; 1.b. BUILDING WORKS: They are building a brand new building next-door (i.e. in the plot of land just amattressdjacent to the hotel) hence the noise and disturbance is unbearable from 7am to 5pm; 2. JAIL LIKE MATTRESSES WRAPPED IN ANTI-PEEING PLASTIC SHEET FELT LIKE SLEEPING ON A TORTURE BED -> NO SLEEP: they use 1 cm thick mattresses that most likely were bought at a jail dismantling auction, that are wrapped with a plastic anti-peeing sheet that make them as comfortable as a mental hospital mattress… 3. COLD WATER SHOWER/AFTER-SKIING BATH FELT LIKE A COLD SHOWER TORTURE -> NO RELAX/NO COMFORT: to save money they keep the central heating thermostat very low so that your hot water will NEVER be hot and NOT EVEN warm… 4. DRIPPING SHOWER HEAD FELT LIKE A CHINESE WATER TORTURE/DRIPPING MACHINE -> NO SLEEP/NO RELAX: the shower head kept dripping water very loudly so that I could not sleep… 5. AGGRESSIVE AND UNPLEASANT STAFF FELT LIKE MENTAL TORTURE: 5.a. Marika who did not bother mentioning neither the road noise nor the building works when I booked over the phone, turned very very aggressive when I politely complained and told me that I could go and look for another hotel; 5.b. The night porter told me that I was a “ball buster” when at 7:00 am I complained because there was not hot water. 6. AT CHECK-OUT THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY 11.11 % MORE THAN WHAT THEY HAD TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE: notwithstanding all of the above, and instead of offering a discount for the troubles/hassles, at check-out they tried to charge me 11.11% more than what Marike had said over the phone….

13/03/2024: very clean but a little old apartments. It is located overlooking the town hall square, 100 meters from the spa

20/02/2024: Abbiamo atteso un'ora per la pizza in un locale che era ormai mezzo vuoto, non ne abbiamo francamente inteso il motivo. La birra era calda perchè avevano appena cambiato il fusto ed evidentemente non era conservato in luogo fresco. Pizza accettabile.
