Family atmosphere and homemade food.
A calm and relaxing environment to escape the tourist crowds of the village. Recommended!

I highly recommend it. My husband and I went for dinner two nights in a row, and we really enjoyed the restaurant (cozy and quiet), the service (attentive and friendly), and especially the food. It was simple yet well-prepared with natural ingredients, not heavy or overly salty, and beautifully presented. I recommend the wild boar stew (delicious!). It's perhaps a little (not much) pricey, but you also have to consider the location: a super clean, well-preserved medieval village with stunning Tuscan-like scenery. For me, it was a very good experience. Thank you.

This restaurant on San Gimignano's main street has a quaint interior and several tables. There were six of us, and they had no problem seating us. The menu features traditional Tuscan fare: pici cacio e pepe, saffron and sausage gnocchi, sliced steaks, and a Florentine steak. The service was decent, though a bit cold.

A rustic yet elegant restaurant. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and blends beautifully with the medieval atmosphere of San Gimignano.
The food is traditional Tuscan, with all its distinctive features (wines included). The portions are extremely generous, which in my opinion is a good thing [so be careful not to get caught up in the moment and order too many, as even a first course was enough for us].
The service is young and friendly. Overall, the final price was more than fair. In fact, it's reasonable considering the location and quality.

Typical Tuscan Italian restaurant, we had Gnocchi and entrecote for dinner, both delicious dishes, but they took a while to serve.

The only negative note is that they call Fiorentina a rib and they make you pay the price of Fiorentina.

Between 3.5 and 3.8, mainly for the preparation and presentation of the dishes. The place has the typical atmosphere of a town like San Gimignano; the entire aesthetic, from the lamps to the table arrangement, is tasteful—one wouldn't expect less from a restaurant on the main street. The dishes weren't presented as well as they appear in the photographs.
We ordered a selection of meats… which, while we waited, was very similar to anticuchos in Latin America but without vegetables. It was served with bread in the center, which was poorly arranged and lacked any distinguishing features compared to the bread basket. Although the different meats tasted good, they weren't enjoyable simply because the bread was soggy with grease. The same was true of the roasted vegetables; they looked more like leftovers from a stir-fry than the roasted vegetables we've had elsewhere. And the presentation was far from satisfactory. Finally, regarding the mixed salad, the sliced tomatoes didn't look very appealing, and the most disappointing thing was that the dressing wasn't local, which made it even less appealing.
However, as for the Chianti, nothing to complain about. Tuscany always surprises you with that, so at least in terms of the wine, nothing to complain about.
The staff's helpfulness was appreciated, although, being a ristorante (a traditional Spanish restaurant), one would expect more advice on wine pairings.
