21/01/2024: Le vecchie cantine sono un posto in cui approdare per sentirsi veramente appagati. Grazie ad Alessio per la cortese e affettuosa accoglienza, ci hai fatto sentire a casa!!!! Consigliatissimi i ravioli ripieni di burrata con pistacchi e tartufo: divini! Tutto meravigliosamente speciale, un'esperienza da vivere!!!

03/01/2024: Questo è il nostro 3 ° soggiorno a La Vecchie Cantine. abbiamo soggiornato in 2 camere da letto apt in hotel con cucina 2 ampie camere da letto e bagno con doccia. L'hotel è situato nel meraviglioso paese di Chianni e Rivalto. a soli 40 minuti dall'aeroporto di Piss 1.10 a Firenze e a soli 35 minuti da Volterra. Alessio il proprietario è sempre al Front Desk o nel Ristorante per accolzarvi. Willy che si prende cura del ristorante è molto Freindly con tutti i clienti e sempre felice di aiutare. L'hotel è una casa tradizionale in stile toscano e imaculate. Vorrei raccomandare vivamente se siete alla ricerca di pace e tranquillità. Il cibo è fantastico. Ci sono alcune belle passeggiate intorno a Chianni e solo una breve 1,5 km a piedi per Rivalto This is our 3rd stay at La Vecchie Wineries. we stayed in 2 apt bedrooms in the hotel with kitchen 2 large bedrooms and bathroom with shower. The hotel is located in the wonderful village of Chianni and Rivalto. just 40 minutes from Piss 1.10 airport in Florence and only 35 minutes from Volterra. Alessio the owner is always at the Front Desk or in the restaurant to welcome you. Willy taking care of the restaurant is very Freindly with all customers and always happy to help. The hotel is a traditional Tuscan style and imaculate house. I would highly recommend if you are looking for peace and tranquility. The food is great. There are some nice walks around Chianni and only a short 1.5 km walk to Rivalto.

06/04/2024: I have been to the Neapolitan goddess on more than one occasion and every time I had a great time from the welcome to the bill. Absolutely worth trying!

06/04/2024: You can't fault them, extremely irascible and pretentious, just like their dishes, more suited to the circus than the restaurant

04/04/2024: The best gastronomic experience in Italy. Local restaurant with very well prepared food, all the dishes were delicious. Excellent service, super friendly. The atmosphere is very local and you will feel like you are part of Italian culture.

27/03/2024: A true gem in the center of the city only discovered by those who deserve it 😅 Lovely man serving us, friendly yet professional, the language barrier was not an issue, high quality dishes with very fair prices, great wine selection, I recommend going for lunch and ordering from their daily menu!! I forgot to take pics of our main dish 🥲 this is the Pisano starter menu :) just excellent!

30/03/2024: I ate an excellent piadina on Easter Saturday. You immediately perceive the owner's professionalism and dedication to the cuisine he offers. Small place, well organized and extremely clean! I highly recommend!

30/03/2024: The food is good (I used spelled piadina with legume burgers, vegetables and sauces) and you can sense the owner's love for animals and how much he cares about the animal rights cause. Small but perfectly kept place. Quality products. Come back every time you go to Pisa!

20/03/2024: Excellent restaurant for the quality it offers and the friendliness of the owner. The products and also the gastronomy at the counter are truly excellent. The only flaws are the disposable plastic bottles that are used and the not very comfortable benches. Otherwise excellent value for money.

09/03/2024: Cured meats, tartare and steaks all exceptional, I recommend it for those who want to eat top-notch meat. It is both a butcher's shop and a restaurant for fine meat palates. Go and you will remember my feedback.

28/03/2024: Absolutely amazing pizza and platters of cured meats and cheeses are prepared with care and using the best products that the area can offer. There is an outdoor area with a spectacular view of the Tuscan hills, absolutely recommended!

27/03/2024: Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious platter and really good pizza!!...even the house wine was excellent...I will return because I want to dine outside with a view of the Pisan hills....PS: they accepted my labrador inside.

30/03/2024: I had two sandwiches, lampredotto and wild boar Volterrana style. Well filled and delicious, I recommend trying it.

30/03/2024: Everything was delicious, there were 7 of us we had a bit of everything, delicious lampredotto bread with wonderful fresh sausage, the staff were super nice and friendly, if you come to Volterra it's a must to stop in this typical place

05/11/2023: The best ice cream that my husband and I ate during our two-week vacation in Tuscany :) The owner is very friendly and explained the different, unusual flavors to us in detail - even though we were only there shortly before closing time.

28/03/2024: Simple pizzeria.. but nice and well-kept. Pizza different from usual, but crunchy and tasty. And commendable service, very kind and friendly waiter. Good selection of beers and fast service. Very low price

05/04/2024: Had a wonderful meal here yesterday - exquisite food, excellent service, and the best bread we've eaten in Tuscany. We had the Blu di bufala (Buffalo blue cheese) and Trancetto di baccalà (Cod with citrus fruits and puntarelle) starters followed by the Fagottelli di fonduta (cheese fondue ravioli with black truffle), the Spaghetti with octopus chorizo and the roasted endive (Indivia arrosto) mains - all were absolutely wonderful. The ravioli were outstanding and are a 'can't miss' if you do visit. Can't wait to go back when the outdoor terrace is open, as the views of Montescudaio and the coast are spectacular. A great place to go for a special occasion, or just to treat yourself or someone special. You deserve it!

25/02/2024: First time at this restaurant. Modern but sober and pleasant furnished room. Too bad about the noise when there are tables and they allow you to talk calmly with your diner. I recommended sound-absorbing panels. Chef Simone proved himself capable of combining innovation and tradition with excellent products. The tagliolini with pigeon and blueberries are excellent, as are the gnocchi with fennel, crunchy black cabbage and chicken bittarga. Worth trying, as are the non-trivial desserts. The service needs to improve. Still good at the chef. See you soon

28/03/2024: Extraordinary place, in a stunning setting among the Tuscan hills, it's like a hidden gem. The food is very elaborate, delicious and made of local ingredients! Every little bite takes you to another place of the region. From the salt of Volterra, through a fresh virgin oil, to the local Marzuolo truffles. The service is amazing - a cherry on the cake. Definitely we'll come back!

07/04/2024: The bar is close to the most touristy area and feels like a local atmosphere, they even offer discounts for students, we ordered two paninis which were very well made, I would definitely go back.
