29/07/2026: Appetizer: seafood salad. Lots of dressing and lots of onions, making it hard to distinguish flavors or perceive freshness. I try spaghetti with clams. The worst I've ever had in a restaurant; the clams and pasta are flavorless. The spaghetti is piping hot but not well combined, probably precooked. Zero flavor. I respect the work of others, and a bad night can happen, but I paid 37 euros for these two dishes and a bottle of water without complaining. I didn't feel respected, because there's a limit to everything.

27/06/2026: A place I love ♥️. All the dishes are delicious, cooked by the expert hands of chef Gianni with the freshest ingredients. Highly recommended!!! The photo of tagliolini with lobster says it all!

12/01/2026: A hotel perched on the hill of one of the oldest villages in the Maremma, Vetulonia. An ancient Etruscan city. The rooms, dining room, and relaxation room overlook a breathtaking panorama. Its beautiful swimming pool invites you not only to dive into the water, but also to immerse yourself in the midst of unspoiled nature, where on the horizon you can admire the entire sea from Castiglione della Pescaia to the island of Giglio. The restaurant is highly regarded for its excellent cuisine, both fish and meat.

21/06/2026: The appetizers were truly excellent, but the service was a bit of a complaint, except for the guy with the earrings who was very friendly and always smiling. Otherwise, we received treatment that was bordering on mediocre. We made a very simple, truly obvious request for a pizza and it was even declined—not for anything, but it was nothing difficult—and we were told no. The pizzas were good, but the service and friendliness needed updating.

06/05/2026: We stayed here last summer. A wonderful discovery. The place is very well-kept. The welcome was truly warm and very pleasant. The food was excellent. The owners are also musicians, very sensitive and lovely people to meet. We will gladly return.

01/07/2026: Not knowing that top-ups couldn't be paid for with a debit card, I offered to return with cash, trying to accommodate the bartender. In response, they attacked me, raising his voice and demanding a completely unnecessary apology. There were plenty of reprimands, including absurd requests for an apology. The owner, or someone acting on his behalf, shouted and openly tried to argue.

08/12/2025: "Il Fornetto Squalo Charlie" is the epicenter of pizza al taglio on the Argentine peninsula. More than a cliché, it's an institution... 😂 Try it and believe it.

27/07/2026: We elected a different restaurant, but it was full as was our 2nd choice, it was very busy on Friday night and we underestimated business. This is slightly off main area and it was only half full. I think they are making a mistake by have the 'courtyard' covered with straw walls, so you cannot see in or out. It is not very inviting. Anyway, about the food, we just had a main (secondi) with some side dishes. Two had the calamari, which were nice, and my daughter had the mixed cold sea starter. A lovely looking dish that she enjoyed. I had a steak (Vitellone) which was very disappointing. Not sure how they were able to serve that so quickly and it was tepid as well. Bit tasteless and it did not look appetising with a handful of rocket and grated Grana on top. Have to give a shout-out for the chips (or fries), they were very nice! I have a house red, which was atrocious, very flat and acidic. My daughter had the house white, which was very nice. The service was friendly and very attentive.

21/07/2026: It's a great place, we've been there several times and it has never disappointed us. It has a very beautiful and cozy terrace, everyone is very friendly, and the food was delicious. I couldn't say a single negative thing about this place. I highly recommend it to everyone!

22/07/2026: We arrived 5 minutes early after a stroll along the lakeside. The restaurant is really well-reserved for its location, view, and food. I must say that despite a few flaws, the service was excellent. Overall, it's a complete restaurant and we'll definitely return.
