03/05/2026: We booked a room at this inn the same day and were truly amazed by the welcome from Nicola and the entire staff, who were extremely helpful despite having arranged everything at the last minute, including dinner. The restaurant offers unpretentious cuisine, and the dishes are truly excellent!
The breakfast, featuring homemade products, was also excellent.
The room was clean, pleasantly furnished, with a comfortable bed and memory foam pillows.
We will definitely be back.

The black spaghetti was an explosion of flavor. The fried seafood, on the other hand, was rather average, 3 stars.
21/09/2025: A lovely place on the Giglio harbor. Unfortunately, the risotto was drained and mixed with the seafood, as was the spaghetti with clams, which were loose and tasteless.
A raw meagre arrived, completely covered in tomato pieces. We notified the waiter, and to be honest, it wasn't included in the final bill.
The ingredients were excellent, but in my opinion, the chef was lacking.

27/05/2026: Beware of the daily fish special. There's no price listed on the menu. The bill is a nasty surprise. I've never eaten such expensive fish. Cover charge: €3 per person. Everything tasted very good. Tischler water: €2.50 per bottle. Location: lovely square.

15/12/2025: We chose this trattoria to celebrate our anniversary and it was a pleasant discovery.
Tasty appetizers, traditional and well-prepared first courses (pappardelle with wild boar and Maremma tortelli with ragù). Cantucci and Vin Santo to finish. Ample portions and friendly staff. Recommended.

30/10/2025: Since I go on holiday to Giglio many times and since I bring Giglio to Giglio the Gigliesi are not very friendly with tourists, I have to change my mind from Monticello Castello where the Castello Monticello hotel is located. From the owner Tommaso to all the staff I have to say that I spent some wonderful days. The hotel is located in a strategic point, has a breathtaking view, parking, the availability if you are without a car, they have a free shuttle service. What can I say? The Castello Monticello hotel has all the requirements for an unforgettable holiday.
