28/09/2025: Great service and good food. I've eaten here more than once and have always left satisfied. The menu is original and has a nod to tradition. If you're in Follonica, I highly recommend lunch at the Bottega.

23/09/2025: We relied on the positive reviews but were disappointed. €15 for two (!) tortelli (a few months earlier there were three in the photos). I understand it's the end of the season, but it doesn't seem right to change the portions. The value for money of the tacos was also disappointing. Luckily, the staff were very kind! But unfortunately, I won't eat there again.

01/01/2026: In one of Tuscany's most beautiful squares, a quaint restaurant with excellent dishes and generous portions, served with warmth and punctuality. Tables are available both inside and on the square in front of the Cathedral. Pizza is also available for lunch, but we didn't try it. They also have another restaurant a short distance away, "Cantina dei Tre Archi," which offers the same quality.

24/12/2025: From Livorno with a passion... Christmas Eve lunch with my family and my brother's teacher, who attends the Don Luigi community in Massa Marittima. A very welcoming place, beautifully decorated for the holidays, in the central square in front of the church. Exceptional cuisine and huge portions. Excellent waiter service, we spent €150 for seven of us... less than €20 each with appetizers, a first course, water, wine, and coffee. We'll definitely be back!!!!

08/06/2025: The atmosphere is new, you can tell, very nice, and the staff is kind and skilled. We had fish for three people; the portions were generous and delicious, beautifully presented. Just one note: use less salt, and be careful not to over-salt the sauce, otherwise it becomes overly salty. I love flavorful food, but for my (elderly) parents, it was too salty. It's better to bring salt to the table instead. In any case, it's a restaurant we'll gladly return to when we pass through Grosseto.

29/05/2025: Intimate, well-decorated, and spotlessly clean atmosphere. Excellent food, incredibly fresh fish, perfect portions, and dishes prepared with attention to every detail. Highly recommended!

08/11/2025: Having moved from Porto Ercole to downtown Orbetello, I finally managed to eat there again today... A little more inconvenient for us, as we're always in a rush, compared to Porto Ercole, but the quality of the food (superb pizza and super crunchy), and today, given the rotisserie, an excellent lasagna and a delicate and delicious roast with potatoes, the friendliness and hospitality of the owners has not only remained the same but even increased. Now a second home for those who work away from home and are forced to eat out, I assure you in Argentario that's no small feat... Especially in the winter... I wish you the best of luck, you deserve it, and of course I recommend everyone to go to Squalo Charlie!

22/09/2025: We were looking for a quick pizza by the slice and found this cozy little pizzeria. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful: he made us a truly delicious pizza by the slice and cecina. Everything was excellent, simple but made with care. Next time we're in Grosseto, we'll definitely be back!

The dishes express the region with surprising clarity: ultra-fresh fish, top-quality ingredients, and a kitchen that enhances every flavor without ever overpowering it. From crudités to expertly crafted pasta dishes, to main courses that exude the aroma of real seafood, each course demonstrates a care and expertise hard to find elsewhere. The atmosphere is pleasant, refined without being pretentious, and contributes to the atmosphere typical of the best Tuscan seafood osterias: authentic, welcoming, and relaxed. A small, constructive suggestion, born from the overall appreciation: an extra smile and a pinch of empathy from the owner would make the experience truly impeccable. The quality of the cuisine deserves equally warm service, and it wouldn't take much to transform an excellent lunch into a perfect memory. In any case, Osteria del Mare remains a highly recommended stop for those seeking authentic flavors and seafood cuisine that never disappoints.

01/02/2026: Exorbitantly priced for the service and products. Modest offerings: they don't do fried food at a seafood restaurant! Very sloppy service (they took away my spoon before I'd even finished my dessert).

23/12/2025: Here, "almost everything" is still made by hand. Run by genuine older locals, you're also served by them. Very friendly and authentic.

06/12/2025: I stopped by Osteria Il Cinquino for lunch, and I have to say the place has a quiet, simple atmosphere. You can only eat outside, which is nice on nice days, though its location, practically on the roundabout, can be a bit noisy: when a heavy vehicle passes by, the noise interrupts the tranquility a bit. Nothing dramatic, but it's good to know. The food is the best part of lunch: excellent dishes, clearly homemade, with authentic flavors you can't find everywhere. And above all, the prices are incredibly low compared to what they offer. Honestly, quality like this at that price is hard to find. During lunch, I also had the company of several cats roaming freely in the outdoor area. They're discreet, don't get too close, but they make the atmosphere even more welcoming. In short: a simple, good, affordable lunch in a place with character. Traffic aside, I think it gets a thumbs up.
