02/01/2026: A great place for a cup of coffee and a treat. The coffee is of a quality you'd expect in Italy, and there's a good selection of pastries and cakes to go with it. The staff is friendly, but the organization isn't very strict. I'd advise them to require prepayment if the customer requests it.

29/10/2025: Good food in a small space. Varied menu, from fish to sandwiches. A good place to grab a lunch break, or dine like at home. Affordable price for quality.

28/10/2025: I've eaten here on several occasions with friends and family. The place is simple and clean. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The dishes are varied and well-prepared. A must-try in the area, and more... in short, a guarantee... any occasion is a good one to return to! Francesca

01/01/2026: A nightmare New Year's Eve dinner: terrible food, served cold; poor-quality wine and undrinkable sparkling wine, drunk either from plastic cups or aperitif glasses (also undrinkable), which we had to rinse out by pouring the contents into either a water or wine glass, as we chose! All for €65! P.S. At 9:45 PM, all that was left was dessert, while we sat at the table waiting for midnight!

30/01/2026: I’ll admit it: I almost skipped Il Vicolo because of the not-so-great Google reviews. But it was a short, easy walk from the Novotel, and curiosity won. Friday night at 8 pm, the place was basically empty—which probably explains some of the bad press. Service was perfectly fine. There is a bit of a language barrier, but the staff made an honest effort and were friendly and accommodating to us non-Italian speakers. Now, the pizza. I ordered the prosciutto and mushrooms, and suddenly the negative reviews from my fellow Americans made sense. If you’re expecting a thick crust and a heavy blanket of rubbery, coagulated cheese… this isn’t that pizza. Thankfully. This is a thin, well-balanced pizza with a bright, flavorful sauce, prosciutto, mushrooms, and a generous hit of parsley that ties everything together. Light, fresh, and packed with flavor—every bite worked. Is it fancy? Not even close. Is it worth coming back for the pizza alone? Absolutely. Sometimes the best bites don’t photograph well—but they deliver where it counts

30/12/2025: A simple restaurant with no extras. The food is very good and the owner is accommodating even if you don't speak Italian.

14/11/2025: The pappardelle with Chianina beef ragù was very good, as was the Croatian steak. The apricot tart was noteworthy, and the cantucci tiramisu deserves special mention. The prices are moderately high, but worth it. Ample parking outside. The place is spacious and the staff are very helpful.

22/12/2025: The hotel we stayed at directed us here for breakfast. It is indeed a very busy place, especially in the mornings. However, the tea and coffee cups and plates they gave us were dirty, poorly washed, and had clearly visible large stains. We took the cups to the counter and asked them to replace them properly. They replaced one of the cups, but apparently thought the stains on the other one were “normal” (a male waiter with an earring—his name was probably Lorenzo—and a dark-haired female waiter who did not speak English). The male waiter started shouting, slammed the cups on the table, pushed them toward me, and said, “Only the outside is dirty, the inside is clean.” He did not replace the cup and said something in Italian to the other waiter (most likely something offensive about us). After that, no one working there apologized or did anything to make up for the situation. When I asked to speak with the manager, they said, “He is not here right now.” As a result, there are no clean cups in this place! If you ask for a clean cup, they shout at you (and most likely curse at you in Italian, assuming you won’t understand). I do not believe that a place that finds it acceptable to serve drinks in dirty cups can be hygienic in its other products either. It is sad that such disrespectful people work in a venue that has been operating for over 100 years. I would not recommend this place to anyone—complete disappointment. In my opinion, it doesn’t even deserve one star, but unfortunately there is no option to give zero star!!

11/10/2025: We stumbled upon this family-run restaurant on Google, and it was definitely worth it. The service was exceptional. I ordered the Papardelle a la Ragu! Wonderful.

28/06/2025: It was a lifesaver when we were looking for somewhere to eat with the kids at lunch. The ambiance... well, :D... But the food was incredibly delicious. Despite a language barrier, the owner tried very hard to explain the daily menu to us! Another good sign was that the restaurant gradually filled up with locals. It's air-conditioned inside, but there are also outdoor seating areas.

06/01/2026: Excellent desserts, family atmosphere, delicious coffee and cappuccinos, and good service. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. It's worth it. ⭐️

23/11/2025: Despite the thousands of typical Florentine restaurants packed with tourists, this is a place where the food is divine and varied, and where the staff is friendly and willing to explain the dishes and let you sample them. Fair prices. The best thing? The smiles of the chef and owner. I recommend the desserts!! I'll definitely be back!

25/08/2025: Nothing to complain about the general management of the pool; the lifeguards are good and attentive, and the lawn is well-kept. The bar offers sub-par food and high prices for what's on offer. The kindness and friendliness of the staff is appreciated! The worst thing is the state of the showers: dirty, old, rusty, with practically non-existent hot/cold water mixers, billions of mosquitoes. It doesn't take much to improve 💪

31/10/2025: A wonderful experience in Florence. The hostel facilities are beautiful, they always have fun activities to do, and the staff is excellent. I can't wait to go back to Florence to visit Yellow Square again.

31/10/2025: Yellowsquare is truly the best hostel; if you're visiting a city and there's a Yellowsquare, don't hesitate and go for it without hesitation.

21/12/2025: Two people at the bar who don't understand Italian, a rude blonde cashier who doesn't know the difference between a Franciacorta and a Prosecco, a Spritz made with a fake Aperol liqueur, a cutting board without even toothpicks, and can you eat the cheese and olives with your hands? If people don't want to work, they should stay home.

15/12/2025: Given the number of visitors to The Mall, it's unthinkable to have an insane line for a sandwich. I think they should rethink the layout of the cafeteria to allow for faster self-service.

12/05/2025: Sono stata a pranzo in questo ristorante con alcune amiche e devo dire che, a parte la vista panoramica straordinaria, l'esperienza è stata assolutamente positiva: personale gentile ed educato, cibo buonissimo e rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente. Complimenti a tutto lo staff!
