21/09/2025: As a group of 10 friends, we stayed for a weekend in a farmhouse just outside San Casciano. This excellent pastry shop and bakery provided us with a variety of croissants and pasta for breakfast, focaccia and pizza for lunch, and even prepared a dinner of lasagna, meatballs, and potato flans... not to mention the delicious tarts. The people were very kind, and the prices were fair. Highly recommended!

21/09/2025: I waited a bit to leave a review because I've known and frequented this restaurant since it was a Chinese takeout restaurant... but some criticism can lead to improvement. I must begin by saying that the helpfulness and kindness of the owners and staff has remained unchanged; they're very nice and helpful, and the atmosphere remains welcoming, but... here comes the sore point... unfortunately, I've noticed a marked deterioration in the food. I won't list the dishes and describe what was wrong; I just want to bring to the management's attention the fact that the deterioration in the food is widespread—I'm talking about a deterioration in quality, of course. I'm deeply disappointed because in Empoli, it's always been a go-to place for Chinese food for me, and I'd like it to continue to be so.

01/05/2025: Nice place, frequented mostly by local regulars. We didn't take anything from the kitchen but the pizza was well made and available with different doughs.

16/11/2025: We don't usually write negative reviews, but we hope our experience can be helpful to someone. My girlfriend and I went for dinner on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The restaurant was completely non-existent, so I had to wear a jacket to dine. Our table lacked the glasses we had to request (they brought them to us when the food arrived, so we couldn't drink for a good half hour). We ordered at 9:15 PM and didn't touch any food until at least 9:40 PM (the restaurant wasn't busy). The uramaki were passable, the ravioli were watery and had a filling that was hard to swallow, and the shrimp skewers were half raw. We ate little and poorly, and we left after almost an hour, disappointed. Another negative note: some of the plates were chipped. It's not the main thing, but at least intact plates give the impression of a clean and elegant place. All this for a cool €30 per person (the normal price for an all-you-can-eat sushi place, but at least where the food is good). We've tried a lot of sushi, and we came here precisely because it used to be very good, but the new management has disappointed us.

16/11/2025: Wonderful place and excellent food, even the presentation of the dishes. The only thing that could be improved is that I asked a waiter a question and he didn't hear me. When they serve you, they seem very reserved, not even the slightest smile, they bring the plate and turn away. Otherwise, I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

02/11/2025: Schiacciata with prosciutto 4.50 2 mini pizzas 1.60 x 2 = 3.20 Bottle of water 1.00 = Total 8.70 Not 13.20 as requested. I pointed out the mistake and was told there had been a price increase... I repeat, there was a calculation error, but the girl got really angry and called her brunette colleague (very kind and nice), telling her I was stupid and that I was annoying her. She very kindly gave me the correct change. What a way to treat customers! I will never set foot in this place again.

19/10/2025: We're sorry, but we're taking a couple of stars off the food list, not because of the quality, which we found to be truly excellent (coffee, homemade desserts, biscotti, and superb first courses), but because of the quantity. For the price, you'd expect a slightly more substantial dish. Seven tortelli for €12-13.50 seemed a bit low, even though they were homemade and made with excellent ingredients. Perhaps other dishes were more substantial, but I can't judge. The location, however, is excellent, right next to Lake Bilancino and convenient for us, as we had a camper in the rest area across the street.

09/11/2025: A historic Chinese deli in the Gavinana area, "Cuore d'Oro" remains a reliable choice for those who want to eat well, spend little, and save time. The restaurant is small but modern, with fast and friendly staff. The menu is extensive—from classic rice noodles to chicken, beef, or tofu dishes—all freshly prepared and served hot. Portions are a bit smaller today than a few years ago (a sign of the times...), but they're still more than fair for the price. Parking in the area is a bit tricky, though sometimes there are double-parked cars. Excellent for takeout, less so for dining in (limited seating). My rice noodles with vegetables were flavorful and well-sauced, perfect for a quick lunch or an easy dinner. Overall, a reliable stop for those who love no-frills Chinese cuisine.

30/10/2025: Our go-to place when we don't feel like cooking at home. We've tried several dishes on the menu, and each time it's a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.

01/08/2025: La Rocca at Castelfalfi is a dream come true if you enjoy masterfully prepared dishes that are composed of locally sourced ingredients and combine flavor and texture in ways you can't imagine. Chef Davide De Simone and his crew really outdid themselves with incredible combinations. Every course of the tasting menu was exceptional and creative, but the escargots and the risotto just blew us away. As always, the people make the difference, in our case Mr Jacopo made us feel at home from the minute we stepped into the gorgeous dining room. His knowledge of the dishes, ingredients and preparation techniques was outstanding, but above all he was a kind person with a captivating smile - and outstanding Spanish skills :-) Thank.you for a wonderful evening, Valeria and Daniel
