14/09/2025: We just stopped by and wanted to check out what the osteria was like. And what can I say? It was exactly the right decision. Super friendly service, delicious authentic Italian food with homemade pasta. The garden is very beautiful and you feel at home. We'd love to come back.

28/09/2025: A pleasant restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Everything is very cozy with pleasant people and in a beautiful location with an incredible view of the countryside crowned by a beautiful castle. We were only here for a drink; we didn't try the food. Next time, for sure.

22/08/2025: A fantastic experience! A journey that lasted over three hours (almost a wedding lunch) with unusual and excellent food. Highly recommended.

17/08/2025: Want a quick lunch? Don't go here!!! 18 courses (maybe a few more)... 4 hours at the table... fixed menu, lunch all together starting 1:00 PM sharp... You have to try it at least once in your life... I won't spoil the dishes so as not to spoil the surprise with every course... but I will tell you one thing... the lamb with artichokes is out of this world.

08/08/2025: The young man who works there as a bartender and the girl in the kitchen are really nice and kind. The food is good and well-prepared. The owner is not at all empathetic and not very cheerful. She's the only one who gets a thumbs up.

DIFFERENT FROM THE OBVIOUS FLORENTINE RIB... AND THE OFFER IS WIDE, WITH LOTS OF QUALITY... GOOD TAGLIATELLE WITH WHITE TRUFFLE... CHAPEAU FOR THE DEER STEW... SIMPLE CELLAR... BUT GOOD AND ADEQUATE...

05/10/2025: Excellent osteria where you can eat excellent Tuscan food. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop.

10/11/2025: They never answer the phone to make a reservation. As soon as it rings, they kick you out! You're not the only pizzeria in Arezzo. Even less so!

24/10/2025: Sartù is a tiny hidden gem down an alley that you wouldn’t notice unless you appeared down and saw some tables outside on the steps. But boy am I happy I went in there thanks to my host and TripAdvisor. This is a one chef one server restaurant at least in the fall months. The menu had the most delectable titles of dishes. My ravioli dish with red sauce (a rarity in Cortona) and ricotta and other cheeses was titled something like “when everything good comes together and is nice.” Hilarious and true. I also had a dish with a round of pork covered in local vegetables that felt like it had been cooked in a stewing pot. It was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten all week. And not stereotypically Tuscan cuisine like most of the other restaurants in town, though they did have some staples like the Chianina and white beans.

24/09/2025: Wow—what a hidden gem! Sartu absolutely blew us away. The steak was simply delicious (paired perfectly with an order of carrots), but what really took things over the top was the deconstructed cannoli—hands down one of the most unique and memorable desserts I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate, with only 18 seats total. We felt so welcomed, and even the chef came out personally to say hello, which made the experience extra special. It truly feels like dining in a private kitchen rather than a restaurant. If you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation, you’re in for a treat. Highly recommend—this is a place you’ll never forget.

11/10/2025: We wanted to have lunch, but even though there were plenty of free tables, we were told there were no tables available. Very rude and incomprehensible.

16/10/2025: A restaurant just a minute away from the central piazza serving you a flow of bites that gradually become bigger. The top floor has one communal table that sits 20, while downstairs is a bit more personal. The food is innovative yet local, I suspect the menu comes together for every evening just before the service. The staff is friendly and at the end of the meal it feels like you're living in the town.

06/09/2025: It's not to be described, but to be tried. Frankly, 5S isn't enough, but it can't be more. The appetizer was a selection of samples, many samples, truly a riot of flavors. The porcini mushroom risotto was sublime, and the meat was fantastic. But I repeat, it's worth trying. Finally, they have a selection of high-end wines.

22/09/2025: We just had dinner there. The pizza was the best we've ever had (and we've had a lot, in many countries!). The service was amazing! We highly recommend it!

06/10/2025: Superb lunch experience. Pappardelle ragu with boar was presented very well and tasted great. Wine suggestions were perfect. Sitting outside with a view of the square makes the entire experience very "Italian". The staff was great and the older waiter was hilarious (and truly professional). Might be back for dinner here since the meals I saw all looked great.

The location in Piazza Grande is unique and evocative, and the service is impeccable: the staff is kind, attentive, and always available. The menu combines traditional Tuscan dishes with more modern options, using quality ingredients and carefully selected pairings. Prices are average considering the location and the quality of the restaurant. Another plus is the attention to those with special needs: in addition to vegetarian dishes, there are thoughtful vegan options. However, it's best to mention any special needs when booking to ensure the best experience. We'll always be happy to return!
