Dopo i saluti e baci con tutti (venire dalla fam. Tizzanini e come tornare a casa), Paolo ci invita a provare il nuovo menù, non c’è lo facciamo dire due volte.
Paolo mi consiglia come antipasto una seppia in zimino, morbida e saporita da fare impallidire le tanto blasonate viareggine…
Come primo, una buona pasta alla trabaccolara, piatto dei pescatori viareggini…
Per secondo “il tegamaccio” un piatto con il sapore del mare e degli uomini da peschereccio….
Come sempre le idee della fam. Tizzanini sono vincenti.
Grandi Paolo e Daniela, senza dimenticare l’innovazione di Giulio e Serena.
Un buon caffè (corretto al fernet branca) e un saluto ai ragazzi con un arrivederci a presto…

15/03/2025: Every time I'm in Arezzo I can't help but go to Sunflower ice cream shop. For me they are the best (and believe me that I have tried ice cream shops from the south to the north of Italy). Ice cream prepared by hand with high quality and organic products. The best flavors are: pistachio (the best in the world), hazelnut and almond.
Every time I go it's an orgasm of sublime pleasure.
I don't understand those who are from Arezzo and still go to other places to get ice cream. Oh God!!!😉🙌🏼

03/04/2025: The Osteria is in the center of the village, the place is beautiful and part of the room has a panoramic view of the Valdarno, the service is fast, the staff friendly, exquisite menu, excellent pici with Chianina ragù, the desserts are made by their chef.

04/11/2024: Mi esposa y yo estábamos en Toscana para nuestra luna de miel. Nos enteramos de este restaurante por el anfitrión de la granja en la que nos alojamos. Este restaurante se encuentra en Montebenichi, una pequeña ciudad de la Toscana. Mi esposa y yo somos pescadores y no había ninguna opción para nosotros. Este restaurante es conocido por sus platos de pasta y carne. Sin embargo, no tuvimos ningún problema con la elección de ensalada, sopa y pasta. Admitiré que la sopa toscana local, Ribollita, fue absolutamente una de las mejores sopas que he comido! ¡Todavía sueño con esta sopa! El chef fue tan amable de hacernos pasta arrabiata que no estaba en el menú pero que hizo es especial para nosotros. La pasta era perfecta. El vino local era una combinación perfecta con nuestra comida.
Recomiendo encarecidamente visitar este restaurante cuando esté en la Toscana. Estoy de acuerdo con otro crítico en preguntar "¿por qué no es este un restaurante con clasificación Michelin" - es tan bueno!
08/10/2024: To say that the food was perfect or wonderful would be an understatement. This evening offered us a complete and outstanding gastronomic experience. The food, the hospitality—without unnecessary frills but filled with substance—featured select ingredients, exceptional flavors, and above all, a genuine, homely, and incredibly polite and humble welcome. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful host and chef. The wine list was also superb, with rare finds. This place truly deserves a Michelin star for many reasons.

10/03/2025: 🇮🇹 Abbiamo provato questo ristorante per lavoro e siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi sia dalla qualità dei piatti sia dall'incantevole location. Abbiamo preso un antipasto di salumi e formaggi misti (20€), una fiorentina in due (65€ al kg) e un'insalata con arance e melagrana (10€).
La qualità dei piatti è davvero notevole e il prezzo è in linea con essa.
Ristorante davvero consigliato.

Too strange to have a sink in the room 🤣 and the shared bathroom, although clean, is a little unhygienic for many rooms. And then an extra bunk bed catches the eye when you ask for a double bed.

19/03/2025: Strolling into Il Covo dei Briganti felt like unearthing a time capsule—except instead of gold coins, it’s filled with old tools, crates, and an impressive knack for mixing rustic charm with culinary magic. It’s not every day you find a restaurant that looks like it moonlights as a blacksmith’s workshop but manages to have the sound system of a top-tier nightclub. Talk about priorities!
We kicked off our culinary adventure with a glass of Affligem beer from the tap—crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you need after exploring Arezzo. Then came the star-studded food lineup. First up, **focaccia fritta with stracchino and prosciutto cotto**, which was essentially a cloud of fried perfection, lovingly stuffed with creamy cheese and delicate ham.
Next, the **macaroni aretini with duck sauce** was so rich and flavorful, we briefly considered adopting duck-based diets. And the **tortello con ripieno di patate viole with sausage juice**? Let’s just say if purple potatoes were as cool in childhood as they are in this dish, we’d have had much more enthusiastic veggie days.
The staff deserves a standing ovation—not just for their stellar service, but for the owner’s warm, personal touch, chatting up every guest like we’re long-lost friends. The combination of hearty food, welcoming vibes, and a decor that doubles as a conversation starter made for an unforgettable experience.
Final thoughts? Il Covo dei Briganti is less of a restaurant and more of a lucky discovery. If you’re in Arezzo and miss this spot, you're doing it wrong.
