19/12/2025: After touring Urbino, Sansepolcro, and Monterchi, I finally arrived in Arezzo. This was the final destination of my Piero della Francesca pilgrimage. Up until then, I had seen relatively small works, but finally came face to face with this masterpiece. It took some effort to get here, but it was well worth it. Because there were few visitors, I was able to fully immerse myself in Piero's tranquility. It is said that Piero's talents, such as coloring and perspective, are fully displayed here. I think this is a place where everyone can enjoy the view in their own way. Of course, it is a sacred place of worship. Reservations are apparently required during busy tourist seasons, but when I visited at the end of November, I was able to make a reservation on the spot right away. In any case, it is recommended that you check the reservation status on the reservation website in advance and make a reservation if necessary.

08/12/2025: €9 for admission and €4 for the audio guide, which wasn't particularly engaging, but provided the minimum information needed for an informed visit. You may need to reserve your ticket because access is limited. You can only spend a maximum of 30 minutes in the famous chapel painted by Piero della Francesca, the reason why people generally visit the Basilica. There is no time limit for visiting the rest of the church.

31/12/2025: I had a great experience at this place. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, ideal for both a quick break and a quiet time. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to the needs of their guests, making me feel immediately at ease. The service was quick and efficient. Overall, I had a really good time and recommend this place to anyone looking for quality and courtesy. I will definitely be back. The à la carte menu on this New Year's Eve is perfect for a different kind of evening without too much fuss.

02/01/2026: We were a group of almost 50 people, pappardelle with watery sauce, stew with potatoes shredded, except for the peas and the bavarois, very cramped for a large group, we practically filled the place, we booked in advance I was hoping for better service

15/05/2026: Luca Basagni looks like he could be a rugby prop forward for The Arruzzi, but this gentle giant, passionately cultivates ans curates local bio organic produce, into an incredible array of quality products. The food is prepared honestly, served simply and with a passion one has to respect and admire. These meals are what memories are made of. I am very fortunate to have visited twice in 7 years.

02/04/2026: The best meat, a carefully selected wine list, and warm, friendly service – this is the best restaurant. The Chianina beef, lean yet incredibly tender, is superb! We visited as a family of four, but the only reason we have to deduct one star is the slightly high price...

23/03/2026: Truly incredible restaurant. I've been there several times and will definitely continue to return, because it's simply delicious. It's a unique concept in the Valdarno, hard to find: a perfect blend of Tuscan and Asian cuisine, with attention to every detail. You can really taste the quality and research behind every dish. They make everything in-house, even the bread... and it's amazing. 1000/10, highly recommended. 🤭

26/02/2026: Nice place, beautiful view, friendly staff, only there until the restaurant filled up, after which we weren't given the attention we deserved. The tasting menu was lacking in substance, with some dishes subpar (cod and dessert) and tiny portions (it's the first time I've woken up hungry after a tasting menu). The final touch was a burnt coffee. The price was high for what we ate and drank.

The food tasted truly authentic, the service was exceptional, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The hospitality was genuinely top notch and made the whole experience even more special. We absolutely loved it and will remember it as one of our favorite meals in Italy.

29/03/2026: Exceptional! It's rare for so many different factors to align in an astral conjunction. When this happens, it's an exceptional event! I found this at the Fuorimenú restaurant. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect! Ample and convenient parking, the owners in the dining room working and overseeing every detail, the staff was extremely kind, friendly, and fast! A friend of mine dropped his napkin, and before he knew it, while he was still chatting, they had already brought him another! Their menu features only the freshest and best ingredients, cooked to perfection. I had a DIVINE carbonara! Even the type of wheat used for the pasta was perfect (yes, I'm a Carbonara fanatic)! The meat was superb. I had a Florentine steak that had been perfectly aged and cooked masterfully on their open grill, made with local wood and aged to the perfect degree! I'm a great eater, and it's truly rare for so many factors to be so carefully considered! The Chianti wine was also excellent! The baked potatoes were made with excellent extra virgin olive oil and light spices that took me back to times and rural environments of times gone by. The price was more than fair... and that, too, pleasantly surprised us. Then their parting smile made us realize that such a rare astral conjunction was no coincidence! It is the fruit of the exceptional professionalism of Michele and Marinella, not only two excellent restaurateurs, but two exceptional people in every way! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Chapeau!
