01/02/2026: I dined here a few months ago. Da Giovannino is a simple restaurant in the center of San Giovanni. The food is good, both traditional Tuscan dishes and pizzas and baked goods.
Perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family in a comfortable atmosphere.

07/04/2026: Since it recently changed management, it's really gotten worse.
Bland menu, tasteless fish, terrible service, incredibly slow and inattentive.
It's a shame because the location would be nice 😓
NB.
As of April 2026, I have to say it's much improved.
The ramen, although the broth isn't anything exceptional, has good toppings, and the appetizers are truly delicious.
The menu is simple, but the prices are really reasonable.
And although the food is limited, it's really good.
I was particularly impressed by the vegetables, which I'd never eaten anywhere else, and also by the grilled fried rice, which nowadays has become truly impossible to find in Asian restaurants, and which I adore.
31/03/2026: An authentic little spot hidden in the heart of San Giovanni! One, if not the only ramen worthy of the name.

15/11/2025: This place was recommended to me for the quality of their products and their freshly made piadinas, and I have to say it didn't disappoint!
I've been there twice and tried both the classic piada and the roll. I loved both, though I think the classic one is truly the best!
Highly recommended, especially for a quick but delicious lunch!

14/03/2026: Terrible experience, the barmaid told me that the bathroom was occupied even though a customer had just said it was free as she had gone out, I also consumed, nice place but unclear attitude, being the bar closest to the station and often the service in the station is out of order I find this attitude illogical
20/12/2025: The atmosphere is impeccably maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had an aperitif in the cozy upstairs room, enjoying the great atmosphere and spectacular drinks. Highly recommended!

The bar service has proven efficient and courteous, with excellent coffee. The selection of fresh sandwiches is extensive, and the pizza, typical of service station restaurants, confirms its reliability. Prices are in line with highway tolls. The facility also offers a well-stocked shop for emergency purchases and well-kept outdoor areas, ideal for relaxing. It is recommended for a quick, quality stop.
03/04/2026: Disappointed to say the least! I ordered the sausage parcel, and it was completely raw inside. I asked the staff, who, annoyed, asked if they could heat it up a bit more on the grill. We're talking about cooking, though, so a piadina grill certainly isn't enough to cook the inside. I was in a hurry, otherwise I would have talked to a manager.

The large back room is truly beautiful: bright, welcoming, and spacious, ideal if you want to stop and enjoy breakfast slowly, without rushing.
A place that combines quality and atmosphere, perfect for those who like to start off on the right foot and with something delicious in hand.

25/01/2026: A terrible experience in every way.
We ordered schnitzel sandwiches for €7.95: the tag clearly stated schnitzel, lettuce, and tomato. However, there was no lettuce. When we politely asked to add it (not as an extra, but as an ingredient already included), the man at the counter—visibly annoyed—replied that he couldn't do so, even going so far as to deny what was written on the tag.
The same story for ketchup and mayonnaise: requested in the sandwich, not included, but left separately in single-serving sachets. A complete joke.
Add to this the very poor quality of the ingredients, the cold sandwich, the intentionally missing ingredients, and a total lack of courtesy.
Considering the price, the experience was absolutely unacceptable.
I strongly advise against eating here.
