05/04/2026: For lunch, I ordered a Florentine steak, which I personally found delicious! It literally melted in my mouth, and had a delicate flavor. It was more of an experience than a meal. The vegetables and cheeses as an appetizer were also very good and had refined flavors. I highly recommend it!

01/05/2026: Great professionalism and courtesy, genuine and never forced. We felt welcomed and pampered. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and it shows. The staff is always available, ready to meet the customer's needs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Almost all dishes can be requested in a gluten-free version, yet the flavors remain excellent. I'll conclude by emphasizing that the portions and prices are absolutely adequate. Highly recommended for celiacs and non-celiacs alike!

04/06/2026: Bar Scarpaccia is located at the end of the Consuma Pass (coming from Florence) and overlooks the Casentino Valley. Its large counter is filled with excellent products, from cheeses and wines to homemade sauces (hare, wild boar, Tuscan crostini, and more), as well as exceptional flours and hams. They prepare delicious schiacciata with a wide selection of ingredients, as well as excellent dishes to enjoy on-site. A delicious and characteristic stop that's not to be missed, whether you're stopping by or just passing through this magnificent area.

19/05/2026: We visited Bar Scarpaccia several times during our stay, mostly for their schiacciata, which was always extremely fresh and made with high-quality local ingredients. During lunchtime they also offer primi piatti, which were quite good and very reasonably priced — a great option for a casual and satisfying meal. The bar has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and one of its most charming “regulars” is the friendly, chubby ginger cat named Garfield, who clearly enjoys the place as much as the guests do. A simple, authentic local spot that’s definitely worth stopping by when in the area.

08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!

29/05/2026: We stayed with a Smartbox for only one night, but it was a shame because the place is truly beautiful and deserves a more peaceful experience. Excellent location in the Cortona countryside, within easy reach of Montepulciano, Pienza, and Bagno Vignoni. Very helpful and always friendly staff, super! We definitely recommend it. They don't have a restaurant, but they do offer breakfast, which is highly recommended: a place surrounded by greenery and so peaceful.

29/03/2026: Authentic flavors, quality ingredients, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Nothing better for a light but tasty lunch, finished with the excellent "Dolce tipici di Arezzo" (typical dessert of Arezzo), which I highly recommend.

07/03/2026: A pleasant discovery! Worth a return visit to Arezzo for a second helping. Simple cuisine with high-quality ingredients, a warm welcome, and excellent service. We'll be back soon!

22/03/2026: I went to this place because I asked for information on where to eat a good pizza in San Sepolcro and they told me to go here. Pulcinella's secret is a small but welcoming place, like the good and friendly owner. I ate the real Neapolitan pizza that I had been missing for a long time. It's really special. Mainly the pizza is takeaway but inside there are three tables where you can eat on the spot. Everything is really special. Well done 10+👍 I forgot to say that the wallet pizzas are a delight😋

24/10/2025: Sartù is a tiny hidden gem down an alley that you wouldn’t notice unless you appeared down and saw some tables outside on the steps. But boy am I happy I went in there thanks to my host and TripAdvisor. This is a one chef one server restaurant at least in the fall months. The menu had the most delectable titles of dishes. My ravioli dish with red sauce (a rarity in Cortona) and ricotta and other cheeses was titled something like “when everything good comes together and is nice.” Hilarious and true. I also had a dish with a round of pork covered in local vegetables that felt like it had been cooked in a stewing pot. It was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten all week. And not stereotypically Tuscan cuisine like most of the other restaurants in town, though they did have some staples like the Chianina and white beans.

24/09/2025: Wow—what a hidden gem! Sartu absolutely blew us away. The steak was simply delicious (paired perfectly with an order of carrots), but what really took things over the top was the deconstructed cannoli—hands down one of the most unique and memorable desserts I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate, with only 18 seats total. We felt so welcomed, and even the chef came out personally to say hello, which made the experience extra special. It truly feels like dining in a private kitchen rather than a restaurant. If you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation, you’re in for a treat. Highly recommend—this is a place you’ll never forget.

06/05/2026: I went there with friends in a campervan. The agricamper area was nice but expensive. We visited an interesting brewery, with unique beers that were overpriced and didn't really impress me. The restaurant and pizzeria were disappointing, with limited selection and expensive for the quality. The food was poor, and the pizza from the electric oven was dry and thin. I had very different expectations. Very disappointed, I wouldn't recommend it.

10/05/2026: I toured some of the vineyards, then visited the winery where they make sparkling wine, and then tasted some of their wines. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the vineyards and winemaking. My compliments to the young woman who accompanied me and explained the winemaking philosophy they use at the winery.

10/05/2026: Relais & Châteaux Il Falconiere is a hotel that exceeds all expectations. It's situated in a phenomenal setting, where you truly feel privacy and tranquility, with very well-insulated rooms. We chose a mid-range room, neither the best nor the most basic, and it was still wonderful, with beautiful views of the pool. The spa deserves special mention: it's free, although you have to book, and the experience was excellent. Honestly, I would always return there. In fact, I left thinking that if I ever return to Tuscany, I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. The only thing that didn't quite win me over was the restaurant. The aesthetics and ambiance are spectacular, very elegant and well-maintained, but in terms of flavor explosion, the food didn't particularly impress me. On the other hand, the hotel wine was marvelous, probably some of the best I tasted in the entire area.

01/06/2026: Six of us dined for lunch, having booked an hour in advance on a Sunday. We kindly asked for quick service because we had an engagement after lunch and were pressed for time. To make things easier, we ordered six identical dishes. We were served quickly, and the wild boar pici were delicious. Total price was €84 with two or three bottles of water and coffee. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

16/05/2026: The owners and staff are welcoming. The menu offers a good selection. Everything is delicious, from the homemade pasta dishes to the pizza, which is very easy to digest and flavorful. Generous portions. Highly recommended.
