19/05/2026: We had a great lunch at Canto alla Rana in Stia and really enjoyed their original Casentino Valley cuisine, based on local forest ingredients.
The handmade pasta was excellent, especially the Topini al ragù di capriolo — absolutely phenomenal and full of flavor. We also tried the wild game stews (wild boar and deer), which were rich, tender, and perfectly cooked. The panna cotta for dessert was a great finishing touch.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food, and the service was friendly and welcoming throughout.
One downside is that the restaurant is only open during lunch hours, which makes it a bit harder to plan a visit. It’s also slightly tricky to find and requires a short 5-minute walk from the parking area, but it is definitely worth the effort.
A wonderful spot for authentic, local Tuscan cooking done with care and tradition.

22/11/2025: After we booked, they sent us away saying they'd run out of pizza dough!!! We were speechless...
04/11/2025: Personally, we didn't enjoy it.
We ordered a seafood risotto, which arrived completely overcooked and had a rather questionable flavor.
A plate of pasta with an inedible sauce and pizzas that were barely adequate.

08/05/2026: Superlative and refined cuisine, top-quality ingredients, original and meticulously prepared tablescape. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating to my food intolerance, and they even served me excellent alternative dishes. Not to be missed! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

13/04/2026: Service to forget....Fries never arrived and weren't taken off the bill, two waters were one, bread arrived after half an hour... not to mention the slowness...the pasta all'arrabbiata was good, but the gnocchi with walnuts and speck (which tasted like Assunnia) were much less so, and they were bland...the menu wasn't very good, and on top of that, two courses were sold out...the window was cleaned with a glass while we were eating...no way!
...no! I didn't get the wrong bar!!! Maybe I just came on the wrong day...But it's all true! I have no reason to write that...

05/01/2025: Ci siamo capitati con amici ed è stata una piacevole sorpresa. I tortelli di patate con sugo di funghi: ottimi. Ottimi anche i contorni, i salumi. Per secondo ci hanno portato un pollo al coccio buonissimo, mai mangiato così buono!!! Buoni anche i dolci. Sara molto gentile e pure simpatica! Bravi
