02/04/2024: We were unable to enjoy the small village of Moggiona due to a rainy spring, but we made up for it with the route to the Mater restaurant, which accompanied us among the scents and scents of the surrounding forest. Bringing the forest and all its suggestions onto the plate is the intent of chef Baroni, for a menu proposal linked to the territory, to the proximity of Camaldoli and to the products of the vegetable garden and the 0 km garden. In the tasting menu "In depth " among our favorites the forest broth and the wild salad with pepper vinegar sorbet, the pigeon is superb. The room is minimal but welcoming, here too the view of the woods of the Casentino park does the honours. The service is attentive and attentive. Since there's no two without three... 31/03/2024: Well-kept informal place, excellent fast and empathetic service, I wanted to try everything but the portions are very generous and so I will have to return. All the dishes tasted of superlative quality.

The hotel is surrounded by nature and the rooms enjoy spectacular views of the valley. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable. Hydromassage above all expectations.

09/03/2024: Experience for a good lunch with friends. They welcomed us with great professionalism. Beautiful room seems to be in the Middle Ages. I don't recommend appetizers (they prepare them in the morning, chewy crostini). Go straight to the very good starters. The sauces are digestible. Second course consisting of mixed grilled poultry, not very good, a little stringy. Honestly, I expected better for the food. Polite and friendly wait staff. Good price considering that we spent €40 each (there were 5 of us) and ate and drank two bottles of house wine. Too bad they didn't even offer us a bitter. I think I won't go back. But it wasn't a bad experience.

18/11/2023: We stayed for two nights in this beautiful inn, that's what it is, inn, where we had a wonderful time. The service is done by young, very kind and polite people. Excellent internal restaurant. I highly recommend and will definitely return

14/11/2023: Easily accessible place because it is located on the main road that leads to the Camaldoli Hermitage, convenient due to the proximity of free parking (just a short walk away) and......for me it was a real surprise. And located next to another place where they still do dunks and where I have always been but, the Locanda dei Baroni exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The restaurant has a rustic/classic style with a warm and welcoming atmosphere also thanks to those who work there. The staff is very kind, patient and accommodating, always smiling. There are 3 rooms with tables for lunch/snack or dinner... one as soon as you enter, one on a mezzanine (very suggestive) and a room in a room next door, all well kept, cared for and clean. Obviously here it is worth taking the Schiacciata which is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, not very high, easily digestible and...with plenty of filling as it should be.
