I met Francesca and her dream while traveling along the Germanic Via Romea in Chitignano. It's impossible not to share her dream, which is perhaps the dream of all of us. Thank you, Francesca, for your hospitality and your food. Highly recommended! Absolutely! Don't be fooled by the exterior; come in and tell me later!

We found ourselves having lunch at a late hour, with the kitchen already closed. The VERY KIND lady welcomed us and seated us at the table with a delicious and super-abundant appetizer: mushroom crostini, polenta with nana ragù, and roast rabbit. Everything was excellent!!! Beautiful place, family atmosphere, and spotlessly clean. I don't know if we'll be back, but if we do, we'll definitely stay again!!!

Excellent food. Good service. The atmosphere is located in a newsstand. Prices are too high. There are only four tables.

We went to Francesca's on December 7, 2025, for dinner. Small, clean, family-friendly place...great hospitality...good, fresh food. I highly recommend it.

La Bottega di Chiassaia

12/04/2026: Fantastic little store/bottega located in a tiny hamlet. You make your own sandwich (I mean schiacciata) from a list of ingredients . Just so you know: schiacciata is thin and crunchy, slightly oily. Finocchiona, artichokes, caramelized onion, mushroom cream: unbelievably good. Packed with bikers and families with kids. Love the large communal tables outside the steep pavement. They also have a few tables inside.
16/03/2026: A hidden gem: the little places I like. It's a shame it was packed, and then my son's opinion of the schiacciata! Small, hidden, and far away, but we're not ruling out returning!
