05/01/2026: While passing through Sansepolcro, we noticed this crowded restaurant and booked dinner for the following day. The welcome was very courteous and friendly, the place was packed with tables, and there was an outdoor veranda enclosed by glass windows, which was also a bit narrow, making it difficult to move around when it was packed. We ordered the mixed antipasto with local cured meats and crostini, and two first courses, including the very flavorful and delicate tagliolini with truffle, and the very tender tagliata with porcini mushrooms, well-seasoned with plenty of mushrooms. Everything was very good, and the prices were reasonable.

15/11/2025: I had the pleasure of participating in a day organized with a truly well-planned program: chestnut picking in the woods followed by lunch. The picking was a lot of fun, aided by a splendid sunny day; the three of us were so good at picking about 15 kg of chestnuts. The lunch that followed was even better. In a beautiful restaurant, we enjoyed an excellent appetizer, two exquisite first courses, and a truly delicious second course. Cost: I won't tell you, but it was truly excellent! Recommended and definitely worth repeating!

17/12/2025: Update December 2025: Excellent again! The menu was different, we found everything excellent.
September 2025: Dinner for two, we ate very well and the waitress was very welcoming and kind. At the beginning of the meal, we were asked if we had any allergies, and the allergen substitutions they brought us were truly excellent.
12/12/2025: Excellent restaurant, both in quality and service. The food is excellent and every visit is a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Recommended.

31/12/2025: We went for a family dinner, and unfortunately, many of us were disappointed because the fillet was very tough. Given that the price was higher than average, we expected better quality. My husband, however, was very pleased with the cut of steak, which was very tender and juicy. I had the smoked gnocchi, which were quite good. The others had tiramisu for dessert, and they were also disappointed, as it wasn't at all like tiramisu, but rather a kind of mousse with lots of cream. What can I say? My husband enjoyed it and will definitely be back for the steak. As for the rest, given the poor quality of the fillets and steak cuts, perhaps it would be best to at least reconsider the prices.

05/12/2025: We went for pizza today for the first time! It was fantastic! We had the Nutella cuddles for desert... Fair price, I recommend it to everyone and it's close to the train station in Montevarchi.

I particularly enjoyed the first courses (homemade pasta).
Fair prices, especially considering the quality.
Final bill: €107, including two first courses, a second course, two desserts, water, wine, coffee, and liqueurs.
Very nice, welcoming, and family-friendly location.

The place appears clean and tidy, the service and helpfulness of the owners and waiters is unique, they do everything they can to satisfy the customer, the food is good, the price is reasonable, I highly recommend it to everyone!!!!!!

21/09/2025: Spent 10 days in italy traveling north and south. Went to restaurant after restaurant, all better than the next.
Then we found Osteria L'Orciaia, walking in felt like being invited into someones home. Its family run and quite literally the best of all our dining experiences.
The family couldnt be more hospitable and the food couldnt have been better. Its the only location we had a meal at twice.
When im back in italy, no matter where i land; i will travel here.
An absolute 10/10, if you want a true italian experience you found it.

21/12/2025: Over the years, the menu has been maintained, but portions have been reduced, the quality of the food has declined, and truffles have been replaced with many herbs. However, prices have more than doubled. The restaurant has been renovated and is now very nice.

15/11/2025: A bar with homemade pastries, phenomenal!! There was a wide selection of desserts; we tried the torta della nonna, which is spectacular (it melts in your mouth) and the almond and caramel tart. Everything was delicious! Inside, they also sell products made by the Camaldolese monks (mostly liqueurs and sweets).
Next door, there's also a shop selling traditional cured meats and cheeses.
