Recommended by Osterie d’Italia, we trusted them and did very well. They invented bringoli—which later became the traditional dish of Anghiari—with the fake sauce. The meat is of excellent quality. The pan di caffè, in my opinion, is the dessert to order. The atmosphere is convivial and the staff is kind and friendly. The price is fair for the quality of the food. If you need to eat in the area, there's no point looking elsewhere.

A fantastic place to get dinner in the town. I had the mixed crostini and boar pappardelle, and it was delicious! My server was lovely, and she made me feel very welcome as a solo diner. Outdoor seating is great for the atmosphere while you eat. Under €30 for 2 courses, a nice beer, and an espresso - what’s not to like!

We found this restaurant by accident and were blown away. Everything was perfect. We had a Florentine steak and the vegetable flan, just one word: SUBLIME. The prices were excellent too. We'll definitely be back!

05/07/2026: One of the most beautiful places I've ever had the pleasure of dining! A magical atmosphere... you're immediately greeted by a beautiful garden filled with olive trees. Traditional Tuscan cuisine with quality ingredients and dishes meticulously crafted in both taste and appearance. The staff truly makes you feel at home. Highly recommended, an opportunity not to be missed! A special thanks goes to Giulio and his fantastic cocktails!

Ristorante Ambrosia

02/07/2026: Amazing food and the Owner & Chef is the nicest person. He spent 7 years working in a 2 Michelin star restaurant and you can really taste and see culinary training. He speaks fluent English and is super friendly. Chef’s goal was to present his grandmother’s recipes but in a more elevated way-he truly succeeded. The tuna we had was super tasty and a crowd favorite. This is the place to go if one wants a taste of true local Italian cooking. Anyone visiting Tuscany should definitely come here and give this place a try.
07/05/2026: We can't say enough about Ambrosia. This was our second visit to Cortona and our second visit to Ambrosia. Each time the food and service were fantastic. The owner/chef greeted us and spoke with us about the dishes he prepared. We tried the six course chef's dinner and it was fantastic (and we love good food). Highly recommend.
