One evening in mid-September, you eat and expect to see some tumbleweed blown across the avenue by the wind.

28/09/2025: A very satisfying first time, with the option of choosing between a meat and fish menu at a fair price and high quality. The staff was quick, polite, and helpful. Highly recommended.

16/08/2025: We had a great time, they even accommodated our requests for some changes to the set menu. We ate very well, using quality ingredients. The price was great for what we ate!

14/09/2025: Excellent seafood and land in the heart of Cecina! A relaxing atmosphere and impeccable service. The selection of raw fish... incredibly fresh, prepared with care. The attention to the ingredients is undeniably evident! Another highlight of the evening was the porcini mushroom risotto with pink shrimp and almonds, perfectly creamed and fragrant. A nice selection of wines. I found the price to be fair given the quality of the ingredients. If you enjoy good food and good food, this restaurant is the place to come.

11/09/2025: Tried it for lunch as a quick stop in Cecina. The place isn't huge, but it's nice. Fast service. I tried the first courses, which were good and had decent portions.

17/07/2025: È il ristorante della pensione Alassio. Molto piacevole l'ambiente, wifi molto scarso. Cucina solo di carne, con piatti nella media. All'inizio offrono un assaggino apprezzabile. Conto sui 45 eur a testa senza vino.

12/07/2025: Siamo stati Dal Mi' Cecio per una cena in coppia ed è stata una bellissima esperienza. Il locale ha un'atmosfera calda e intima, e la veranda all'aperto è il posto perfetto per godersi una cena rilassante. A rendere l’ambiente ancora più piacevole, della buona musica di sottofondo, che accompagna la serata senza mai disturbare. La prima cosa che colpisce è il menù strutturato in due parti tra piatti della tradizione e proposte più innovative, pensato per soddisfare tutti i gusti. Siamo stati accolti con una entrée di panzanella, fresca e saporita, accompagnata da un ottimo prosecco che ha aperto la cena nel modo migliore. A seguire, un tagliere con pasta fritta e salumi davvero gustosi, e un tris di crostini ben assortiti, tra cui merita una menzione speciale quello ai legumi, equilibrato e dal sapore rustico ma delicato. Come primo abbiamo scelto le tagliatelle al sugo di cinghiale con salsa ai frutti di bosco, che si è rivelato il piatto sorpresa della serata: una combinazione insolita ma perfettamente riuscita, dove la dolcezza dei frutti di bosco esaltava il sapore intenso della carne. Per secondo, una tagliata al rosmarino cotta alla perfezione: morbida, succosa, si scioglieva letteralmente in bocca. Il servizio è stato impeccabile nonostante il locale fosse pieno ed è evidente la passione e la cura che il ristorante mette sia nella cucina che nell’esperienza complessiva. Dal Mi’ Cecio è un perfetto equilibrio tra innovazione e tradizione, in un contesto elegante ed accogliente, a due passi dal centro di Montecatini Terme. Consigliatissimo per una serata speciale, romantica o tra amici!

29/07/2025: Quick and punctual service, friendly staff. Prices were average. We ate a bit of everything, takeout. Everything was delicious, except for the fried foods, which tasted only greasy. Obviously, a very basic place, made for takeout. About €46 for 3 people Recommend. Updating my review: SWEET AND SOUR DUCK, amazing! Try it, it melts!

10/05/2025: Viajando por trabajo, cené aquí solo por recomendación de mi anfitrión Airbnb. Disfrutamos mucho de mi comida - la pasta hecha a mano era delicioso. El servicio fue amable y rápido. El precio era razonable. No me sentí fuera de lugar comiendo por mi cuenta, me dieron una mesa regular, no sentado al lado del inodoro / cocina / aire acondicionado unidad (como a menudo sucede a los comensales solos! )

02/11/2025: A welcoming trattoria-style location, simple yet elegant, perfect for a dinner with friends. The menu is truly extensive and offers excellent choices of meat, fish, and pizza. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality: the fish is excellent, well-cooked, and flavorful, while the pizza is thin, crispy, and incredibly light. The service also deserves special mention: the staff is friendly, quick, and always available.

01/11/2025: We went for lunch. The arugula and parmesan steak was almost charred, and the seafood spaghetti was spicy (there was chili pepper). The only good thing was the tortelli. The staff wasn't particularly friendly; the only one who was friendly was a gentleman who served us right away. The atmosphere was nice.

13/09/2025: Great value for money (everything is a bit dated, but absolutely fine), great pool, beautiful view. There's a tennis court, a soccer field, a playground, two pools, and a restaurant. The pool bar is also very good. All in all, it's simply fantastic, especially with children.

10/07/2025: We booked for four people, but there were only two loungers per room at the pool. The kitchen facilities were the worst I've ever had in Italy. So, we had to do a big shopping trip, including a decent espresso maker, salt, pepper, oil, etc. When we asked if we could book additional loungers at the pool, we were told, "That's just the way it is."

01/11/2025: We were here at the end of October. The shop was quite run down, a bit of a shame as there were still a lot of guests. Playroom for the children closed unfortunately. The pool was not heated, certainly nice in the summer. But in the autumn it was too cold to swim. We had a sea view patio, nice view, but the terrace itself was in pretty bad condition. It leans quite a bit, probably needs to be renovated or rebuilt. Otherwise nice campsite. Clean and nice. Nice staff. Easy bus about 600 meters from the campsite to the center of Livorno. A bit expensive for low season considering that a lot was closed and the selection in the shop was pretty crap. Could have halved the price for the campsite in the autumn. We paid about 500 euros for 6 nights.

21/10/2025: The site has very small pitches, which was a challenge with our camper (Grand California). We found the sanitary facilities very poor. The water didn't drain from the showers, the timed showers were 210 seconds per session, and the cleanliness was only superficial. The toilets definitely need an update. Therefore, only a 2 star rating. Location: Located directly on the Mediterranean Sea but very rocky, which we didn't find a problem, but you should be aware that there is no sandy beach. It's also located directly next to a highway and railway line, making it very noisy at night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They only accept reservations for pitches for 5 days or more. So you have to hope for luck that you get a spot if you only want to stay 1 or 2 days. We had to book an extra electricity package (€4 per day) to operate an air fryer. The ADAC says it's 4 stars, but unfortunately, we can't confirm this. Location: 3 stars, sanitary facilities 1 star, electricity only 500kW, 2 stars. Staff: 4 stars. We didn't visit the pool or restaurant.

11/10/2025: Great! The catch of the day is served, with simple yet authentic dishes. We went back twice in four days without batting an eyelid. We ate pici with DOP lagoon bottarga and a portion of marinated eels. The service was fast and the waiters were very kind and friendly. Reservations are essential. I recommend asking for a table on the veranda to enjoy a stunning sunset over the lagoon.

04/10/2025: Ordered the spaghetti seafood pasta which came with mussels, clams, squid and shrimp. Presentation and taste were superb. Large portion with lots of mussels and clams.

11/09/2025: Terrible experience! Upon arrival, the view of the place was quite sad, more like a view of garbage bins than a sea view... hmmm... Zero welcome, absolutely unprofessional and uncaring staff (especially given the few customers present). We ordered a glass of champagne and, in addition to taking the glass back from the kitchen, we noticed that it tasted bad and there wasn't even a single bubble. We asked for an explanation and they brought the almost empty bottle to us, telling us that "it must be because it's only been open a few days, but it's champagne"... oh god!!!!!!! 😲🙈🫣 (Meanwhile, they were charging us for the 10 euro glass!). We settled for a prosecco, but history repeats itself and we decide not to argue. The food was mediocre. We went for a barrel-aged grappa to digest the excessive heaviness of the mixed fried food, but we received a white grappa from the supermarket. No apology for what happened, and the price was steep compared to the quality and quantity. A sad experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
