20/07/2025: The restaurant Il Convito di Curina is located at a 20 minutes drive from Siena. The restaurant is also open for customers who don’t stay at the hotel Villa Curina Resort. The menu gives several very tastefull options, mostly local and from what the season offers. All true and honest food. The wine menu presents besides a great number of Italian wines, also a number of French wines like their champagne of the house. A great place to relax with the panoramix view of the hills whilst enjoying delicious food and wines.

The atmosphere is lively, a perfect retreat for those seeking the city's authentic soul. It's a wine lover's paradise, with an extensive cellar that elevates every aperitivo, beautifully complemented by quality platters. The cuisine offers interesting insights and often well-executed dishes; one diner found an excellent first course, while mine was less convincing, reflecting a spirit more of a gourmet stopover than a thoughtful dinner. Service is the place's driving force: a team that's almost always attentive and friendly, welcoming guests with a smile and offering helpful advice, despite the occasional lapse. This is a place with remarkable value.

02/09/2025: Excellent value for money. The staff is young, hardworking, and warm. The service is impeccable, and the waitress who served us is the epitome of friendliness. We ate very well in that beautiful Siena alley. We had two starters, a main course to share, a glass of wine, and a bottle of water. We paid €52. The music in the bar was also top-notch. Thank you for your service. If we ever return, we will definitely come back.

15/08/2025: I'd been there before, and although the quality-price ratio wasn't, in my opinion, adequate, I'd eaten well. Last time, however, we found the black rice to have a decidedly acidic smell and taste. The owner listened to our reasonable concerns; we didn't want to put the restaurant in difficulty, but despite the dish being replaced, with the appropriate wait times, upsetting the entire table, we found neither understanding nor apologies. In fact, the bill was decidedly steep for what we ordered. Almost 70 euros per person for two first courses, two appetizers, and two liqueurs. I won't be returning.

05/01/2025: Simple place with a quiet atmosphere, a brick vaulted environment with glimpses of Tuscan tradition combined with contemporary works of art. It offers drinks, croissants, cutting boards and a wide variety of books, board games and pastimes. Hot chocolate from a machine with cream spray €3.50 Modest prices for being in the main street of the historic center of the village. Reachable from the main car park via the public lift located behind the keep and town hall, passing through a suggestive walkway and a very well-kept modern square.

06/10/2024: El mejor bar por lejos y el personal es tremendo Los lugareños son muy amables y le dan la bienvenida. Todo sucede en el bar desde la mañana hasta la noche, un verdadero centro local y no todo sobre el alcohol! Los niños locales vienen y compran sus dulces y helados, etc. Un verdadero placer. Fabuloso café y pasteles por la mañana y bocadillos de pizza, etc. durante el día Gran parada para ciclistas! Nos quedamos y nos sentimos parte.

Inside the place there is also a cafeteria where you can enjoy excellent croissants of various flavors accompanied by a good coffee or cappuccino. Excellent quality ingredients. 16/08/2025: The people were incredibly kind and helpful. My girlfriend and I were welcomed like real guests. The refuge only accepts cash payments, and we only had a debit card. Nevertheless, they offered us two slices of tart (which was delicious, by the way!), a large bottle of water, and coffee. All without asking! We were almost embarrassed and didn't know how to thank them. The perfect way to end a beautiful day in the woods! Thanks again.

15/08/2025: To get there, you can park at the "Acquerino Environmental Education Center," where you'll find signs. From there, it's a 2.5km walk. A forest road is also accessible with a stroller. The refuge staff are very friendly and organized. They're open for Ferragosto, offering both table service (reservation required) and takeaway (cutlery, bread). The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. You can also grill your own food. We'll be back.

16/09/2025: Best seafood restaurant on the Livorno waterfront. And also the one with the best view. I recommend it for both lunch and dinner. Friendly, fast service. Wide selection of wines. Gluten-free option.

15/09/2025: Returning to this restaurant after many years... a wonderful sea view!!! Remodeled and offering fewer dishes, but still excellent fresh fish. Private parking, easy access, and a little further on, direct access to the beach via a path and steps.

24/08/2025: A truly charming place in the center of Vecchiano. Excellent selection of platters, sandwiches, and various appetizers. Wide selection of wines and cocktails, both excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming, as are the owners, who are always very kind and friendly. A guarantee.
