Amazing place especially for lunch. Half of the workers and caulkers of Viareggio. Simple, plentiful cuisine, typical Viareggini dishes and finally the legendary Versilia rum dessert

Every time you go to Tuscany, Camaiore and Pietrasanta, a trip to Viareggio... a stop that cannot be missed, now fixed, at the Mezzo Marinaio! you always eat very well 🫶

Nothing to complain about the food and the dishes, they are plentiful and everything is very good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Not so much for the waiters, but to be attributed to other factors. There are customers who have preferential lanes. We are seated at 12.40pm, we are up at 3.35pm. and without taking any dessert or coffee. A table behind ours with 7 people who arrived an hour after us managed to eat, I would take the dessert, the coffee and ask for the bill before us who were 4 and as it happens with the same courses ordered (seafood carbonara and mixed fried food). The first time it happened a month ago, I took it for granted that there might have been a mistake, it can happen with many people. But twice in a row I don't think it's a coincidence.. Treating friends well is fine with me, but at least the order of arrival is respected.

Mezzo Marinaio is an institution in Viareggio. Having said that, however, I have to evaluate trying to be objective. The place is very basic, inside it is more confusing but warmer, we were in January on a beautiful sunny Sunday, the awning outside has more drafts and therefore colder. Very calm and easy-going service. The dishes, nothing special, and once upon a time it was a little more justified given the paper tablecloth and the so-so quality. Now a little prettier...

Posto carino,ma non buono il servizio al tavolo,si mangia discretamente,pasti abbondanti e buona la frittura di pesce. Mi piace perché anche i cani sono ammessi nel locale
