11/09/2024: my husband and I stayed at this inn for a few days at the end of August. We booked the same day of arrival and the owner Mr. Alessio was very helpful in welcoming us (which is not to be taken for granted for a small accommodation facility) so for this reason our first thanks go. The Tuscan-style room was welcoming, spacious, quiet and above all very clean. Varied breakfast in the morning served on the terrace of the inn with a panoramic view of the Maremma hinterland. We have always had dinner at the inn as the food is all homemade by Alessio's family and it is all absolutely delicious and the price is more than appropriate. I will certainly recommend to anyone coming to the area to take advantage of this true hospitality of both the owner and his parents, very courteous people and always available for a chat. Precise only for those who want to have a beach holiday in the surrounding areas, from the village of Buriano which has the timeless charm of times gone by, it takes about 20 minutes by car. thank you very much.

28/08/2024: Ritornato a cenare in questo locale, dopo esserci stati la prima volta pochi anni fa: il buon ricordo è stato confermato. Vengono proposti piatti tipici della zona, dove in particolare i pici ed i tortelli svettano (fatti a mano). Altra specialità del locale e la carne, che viene cotta alla griglia. Nel fuori menù, degni di nota i fiori di zucca ripieni di ricotta (che fortunatamente ho avuto modo di trovare anche stavolta). Oltre a qualche vino di etichetta, viene proposto anche un vino di loro produzione (a mio avviso degno di essere provato). Dolci della tradizione italiana, anche quelli preparati dal locale. Gradevole l'area esterna (dove sono accolti anche i cani), al pari della veranda panoramica e della sala. Conto adeguato (non economico, ma neppure eccessivo) ai piatti ed ai locali. Se in zona, consigliato.

08/09/2025: A typical Tuscan trattoria, set in a charming little town square. My son and I were on a bike ride and stopped for lunch. Authentic Tuscan food, very well cooked and tasty.

10/09/2025: The place was filthy; there were breakfast residues on the floor, hair, and general dirt all over the place. The table was dirty, with coffee stains and crumbs. The croissant I was served was at least 2-3 days old, judging by the texture. When I asked for the table to be cleaned, no one came. I was truly disappointed, especially not in line with the photos and other reviews.

10/09/2025: Dirty place, rude and unwelcoming staff. Table service was nonexistent. The tables weren't cleared, much less cleaned; I had to get some wipes and clean my own seat.

05/04/2025: Location molto bella, pulita e raffinata. La terrazza, affacciata direttamente sul mare e protetta da vetrate scorrevoli, ci ha concesso di godere di uno splendido tramonto. Personale molto gentile e premuroso. Pietanze squisite e pesce freschissimo, torneremo sicuramente!

30/07/2025: I've never encountered such wonderful service! It's incredible that people like this still exist. We were guests at La Vela Beach Club on our last day in Tuscany. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and all the amenities the beach club offers all day. The place is truly charming, clean, and well-maintained, but what creates a real atmosphere is the warm, helpful staff! Before leaving for the airport, we accidentally left my swimsuit and my husband's new shorts at the club. They may not have been very expensive, but I had bought the swimsuit in Capri a year earlier and really liked them. My husband's shorts were only a few days old. At my request, the staff prepared a package for my lost items, which will arrive in Norway in a few days. It's amazing that someone cared so much to help me with such a trivial matter. I'm still in awe. Congratulations to the owner for having such wonderful employees, and thank you again!

16/07/2025: I spent a day at the beach at a truly well-maintained beach club, which I had booked for the whole day. I arrived around noon and, despite the late arrival, was still charged the full rate. I didn't object; it was my responsibility not to know the start time of the possible reduced rate. Admittedly, the staff wasn't the friendliest, but I chose not to raise the issue. The club itself is excellent, well-serviced, with open showers included in the price (closed ones cost money), clean and functional changing rooms, bathrooms in excellent condition, parking included, and a beach area equipped with an umbrella, chair, deckchair, two loungers, and a table. Nothing to complain about in this regard. The problem was the restaurant, which, despite appearing tidy and with seemingly knowledgeable wait staff, was the subject of a decidedly unpleasant experience. I ordered a seafood salad, my friend a Greek salad. Mine was well presented, hers a little less so: the tomatoes were sliced, not diced as indicated on the menu, and the yogurt sauce, which was mentioned, was missing. These were minor things we decided to let slide, especially since we'd been told the kitchen closed at 2:30 PM, and we were seated around 2:00 PM. But precisely because it was so close to closing time, they could have simply told us they were no longer able to guarantee adequate service. Instead, they sat us down, only to offer us a disappointing experience. The fish in my salad, aside from a few delicious shrimp, was mediocre. But the worst came when I found a piece of spaghetti at the bottom of my plate. I called the waitress, who, I must say, was extremely kind and professional, and she told me she would ask the kitchen for an explanation. After twenty minutes, she told me that, according to the chef, it could have been because the pasta maker is nearby and something might have ended up in it by mistake. They added that the dish would be taken off the bill. No one suggested redoing it, no one bothered to offer a real solution. Now, if the kettle is really so close that it's contaminating the dishes being served, there's a serious hygiene issue. But even putting that aside, what I find unacceptable is the casualness with which the matter was handled, as if simply saying "you don't pay for it" would be enough to shut everything down. It's not about the value of the dish, but the idea that a customer should ignore it for convenience or the time of day. I didn't want to start a controversy right now. I decided to call it a day and enjoy the rest of the day, which, this slip-up aside, was pleasant. But I truly hope the restaurant management understands that service isn't measured solely by aesthetics or apparent courtesy, but also, and above all, by respect for the customer, especially when something goes wrong.

31/08/2025: I don't usually complain; I think everyone does their best to improve, but unfortunately, in this case I can't say that's the case. We ordered cod fritters, but they were really too greasy; the paper underneath was actually soaked. Then I had tagliolini with beans, which were very good and plentiful, while my wife had a second course of cod, which, instead of being in a sauce, was practically dipped in oil. The roast potatoes were good, and the service was very cold; they didn't even ask us once if everything was okay. The price was a little expensive, but nothing excessive. The view of the quarries was wonderful.

03/09/2025: We would eat you all out, if we can! Best coffee in Viareggio, great croissant filled in front of you with fillings of your choice (marmelade, chocollate,...) and great fresh orange juice for very good prices. Friendly staff, good with english.
