Passing through this stunning region of Tuscany… 🤩 a stop at the Pancino restaurant in Massa Marina di Carrara, right on the seafront, is a must. Refined cuisine featuring freshly caught fish and authentic Italian hospitality at its finest 👍

Pizzeria and restaurant right on the seafront with a decent variety of both seafood and meat dishes that are easy to eat 😉. Prices are average for the area.

A historic restaurant on the Versilia coast, one of those that has built a loyal clientele over time and doesn't require much media exposure. This is also clearly evident in the friendly relationship between the owner and some regular guests.
It was my first visit.
I found the service friendly, perhaps a little distracted in times of stress, but the staff were present and helpful. The fried fish deserves special mention, as it was truly well executed: fresh ingredients, cooked precisely, dry, crispy, and served at just the right temperature. A dish that demonstrates experience and craftsmanship.
The ingredients are excellent.
The operational management of the service, however, is less convincing.
The wait times are quite long, with about 20 minutes between courses, a perception shared by other tables.
The first courses were a bit overcooked.
One aspect that deserves attention is the uneven portions, likely a symptom of a kitchen under pressure: one spaghetti allo scoglio was significantly undersized (about 80 g) compared to another much more generous (over 120 g). These are details that an attentive diner immediately notices and that impact the overall perception.
Overall, a restaurant with solid foundations and quality dishes, but it could work on consistency and service organization, especially during peak periods.
An overall positive experience, with room for improvement. I would return to check on the consistency.

I stumbled upon this place on my way to Genoa. The pre-dinner bread (baked) and other pastries were delicious. It's a shame there's no ocean view. The seafood and seafood pasta are delicious with every bite.
It was recommended to me by other restaurateurs as an excellent alternative to Forte dei Marmi which is always crowded. Parking is actually convenient because it is away from the confusion. The cuisine is good but above all the prices are reasonable compared to Forte dei Marmi.
