03/08/2025: Saturday evening, dinner for two, we ordered two special focaccias, a Coke, and water. We spent a fair amount compared to the specialty items, including goose and venison prosciutto. The dough was good, digestible, and very light, perhaps a little burnt, but overall good. A truly negative aspect of this place is the service. We politely asked if we could at least order a drink (since it's August 2nd and it's good practice to serve drinks) and were rudely told no because they only took orders as the tables arrived (with a gesture to go along with it). If it hadn't been for another waitress who kindly convinced us to stay, we would have left. 1. It's not a festival, but a restaurant; I'd like to remind the waitress of that. 2. I understand their dining room setup, but there's no need to tell the customer, and it's possible to respond more politely. I suggest: "Sure, I'll be right there. In the meantime, what can I get you to drink?" (15 minutes saved) or: "Yes, I'll send the head waiter." It's a real shame, but this rudeness really hurts the restaurant.

28/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and attentive, providing excellent customer service. All the dishes were exquisite. You could feel the careful attention to detail behind every course, from appetizers to dessert, creating a unique experience for the palate.

11/08/2025: We had lunch here on our first day. Run and keep running. The service was the worst. We had to wait maybe 20 min for service and when she finally comes we are still ordering and she walks away. We had to ask for the beer 4 separate times, finally got it about 10 minutes after last asking. She brought the water and no cups, eventually she brought the other drinks. Not to mention, we were sitting there waiting for her to come with drinks, and she was standing there on her phone texting away. My daughters ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and we were expecting a grilled chicken breast but no, they got a cold cut sandwich in toasted bread. If that’s what it is, update the menu. It’s misleading. My food and husbands was ok. Nothing special. We ordered coffee, eventually it came and the bill as well. The whole time while serving us it’s like they are doing us a favour. It’s a mission to be there!!! I paid for my food, this is your job so plaster a smile on your face and pay attention.

04/08/2025: The staff was good, but for 2 coffe and 3 small scoops of ice cream we paid 26 euro which is too much.

25/07/2025: Super delicious cocktails! We were very satisfied. We sat on the terrace; you can only sit side by side, but you have a lovely view of the piazza. An awning would have been nice so you're not sitting directly in the blazing sun. You can also order the cocktails to go, which cost €1 less.

07/07/2025: Key Largo Bar – Espresso with Heart We came here looking for a really good espresso – and we weren't disappointed! The coffee was excellent: strong, aromatic, and exactly what you'd expect in Italy. The real highlight, however, was the moment when our little daughter naturally wanted a children's espresso – that is, milk foam in her espresso cup. The barista not only smiled warmly, but happily fulfilled her wish – and even on the house. A small moment that put a big smile on our faces. Conclusion: Good coffee, lovely people, a lovely atmosphere – that's exactly how you want to enjoy your coffee break.

14/08/2025: A restaurant we loved. The food was delicious, with well-prepared dishes full of flavor. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is very cozy and family-friendly, perfect for enjoying a quiet and pleasant meal. Without a doubt, a place I will return to and recommend 100%.

05/08/2025: The whole family came for dinner. We reserved a table in advance. The hall itself was a bit stuffy. We ordered khinkali, khachapuri, shashlik and lyulya - how delicious it was! We will be happy to come back more than once and have already recommended it to our loved ones! Thank you 🙏🏻

01/08/2025: The food was delicious, refined, and the fish was delicious. The owner and waiter were friendly, both speaking good English and making us feel immediately welcome. The wine list was excellent. We even had the owner match our wines (by the glass) to the dishes. They don't have soft drinks, which isn't a problem at all, just good to know 😉 A place to definitely remember.

12/08/2025: We bought wine from the "wine hole" it is a gemich for photos and Instagram. The wine was terrible, but not overly expensive.

09/08/2025: This was so fun running into an active wine window. I got to try orange wine for the first time which I will say I will not order again. But I wasn’t here for the taste, just the experience. The person handling the wines was very nice. You can take home the wine glass (which is plastic) for 5 euro if you want.

20/07/2025: I'd never tried bardiccio on pizza, but it was very good. The pizza is Tuscan-style, but more modern. Informal and friendly service, a nice atmosphere, and excellent value.

22/07/2025: A Mystical Experience I've rarely had the opportunity to experience such a beautiful dining experience. Dining at Pepe Nero Restaurant is like this: it's engaging with new, unusual flavors, it's seeing and tasting modern and traditional cuisine at the same time, the refined, expert, and sophisticated touch of those who, it's clear, have always been part of Great Cuisine. Each course is a surprise, to be appreciated first with the eyes and then with the palate. I always choose the tasting menu, so I can try a variety of flavors on the ever-changing menus: the cauliflower, red shrimp, and licorice risotto was a true delight, the Milanese-style red mullet with cabbage and grilled risotto was a delicacy, the stuffed squid was delicious and incredibly tender, accompanied by artichokes, black garlic, and Prato vermouth. And I won't even mention the culinary journey offered before lunch, with delicious small portions that literally ignite the senses. The staff is young, friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The experience at Pepe Nero in Prato is a treat I always enjoy whenever I can. Thank you!

25/06/2025: It was a pleasant surprise! I went to lunch with my wife and son. We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it but we were a little afraid that it was the classic restaurant with expensive but extremely poor dishes… We wanted to try the experience anyway and we came away enthusiastic! The prices are absolutely fair and not too high but above all the quality is very high! Both in the choice of raw materials and in the skill in preparing the dishes we fell in love with it! We shared an appetizer among 3 of us (just to nibble something while waiting for the first courses) and incredibly the dish was sufficiently abundant to allow everyone to eat enough to appreciate it. Afterwards each of us had a first course and as an accompaniment we chose a bottle of white wine (it cost 18 euros and the wine list is fantastic! There are bottles of all types and from all over the world). Even for the first courses the quantity of the courses was generous and both my wife and my son struggled to finish… I was “forced” to help them a little… eheh! Having tasted all three first courses, I can say that the skill of those who work in the kitchen is truly exceptional! Congratulations! To finish, my wife and I shared a second course. We were very pleased to receive the dish already divided into two plates. The extremely professional and kind service is another strong point of this restaurant. In total, we spent 97 euros (so about 32 euros per person). We did not have dessert or coffee because we were full and satisfied. In the end, the expense was more than acceptable and I have rarely been so happy after paying the bill. We will definitely return every now and then to be lulled and spoiled with such quality.

28/06/2025: Absurd and deeply unpleasant experience. We were left speechless by the arrogance and total rudeness of the owner. After making a very polite observation about the pizza — which clearly did not appear to be very fresh — we were verbally attacked, told to go to hell and my husband was called “old” in a contemptuous tone, as if it were an offense. I have never seen such a disproportionate and offensive reaction in a public place. This is not just bad service: it is a total lack of respect towards the customer and the person. An attitude like this should not be tolerated by any business owner, much less by those who work in contact with the public. An experience I would not wish on anyone!

07/08/2025: Beautiful terrace with panoramic views over the Tuscan hills. Warm, professional welcome and attentive service. Delicious, refined dishes made with local ingredients, perfectly paired with regional wines. We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful lunch — a true Tuscan delight.

28/07/2025: A Service Disappointment An experience that unfortunately proved disappointing despite the attractive location and the quality of the products offered. Our reservation was set for 1:00 PM. My partner and I, along with our child, arrived 20 minutes early. Even though the other couple hadn't arrived yet, we were immediately asked if we wanted to order, clearly showing a rush to get our drinks and clear the table. Our inquiries about the dishes were met with curt responses that seemed to annoy the staff. The climax came when we received the bill. After requesting four amaros, the waiter returned to say that, due to an evening event and the need to prepare the restaurant, they couldn't serve us (it was 2:50 PM). A few seconds later, he returned with a single glass of amaro, almost as if doing us a favor, accompanied by the POS machine to charge us and "clear" the table. Considering a cost of around €80 per person, I would have expected a much different experience, especially in Tuscany, a region renowned for its hospitality. In short, the Albergaccio di Castellina offers quality products, but the excessive price, combined with rushed and unwelcoming service, make the overall experience unsatisfactory. This is a real shame, because in Tuscany there are equally culinary-quality restaurants, but where the welcome is decidedly warmer.

05/07/2025: Very well known pizzeria, I went there on recommendation and I also recommend going there. Very good pizza, delicious dishes, especially the fried seafood; fast service, very friendly and the waiters do not disdain even having a chat and a laugh with the patrons of the place. The prices are very good for the quality of the food and desserts. Two unpleasant things: the first is that parking is almost impossible, as the place is located along an arterial road in the city. The second is that the place is not very large and therefore it is better to visit it in spring and summer when the veranda is open and you can dine outdoors, if you suffer from narrow spaces.

01/07/2025: our first visit to the restaurant. very satisfied. nice atmosphere, very nice waiter with fast service. the food was really good. my partner ate pizza which he was very pleased with. i ate tortellini. meat filled with tomato sauce. we were offered "fried bread buns", called something special and were surprisingly good. the prices of the food were also a positive surprise. the restaurant. highly recommended
