11/10/2025: New management, a young and highly skilled pizza chef, excellent pizzas, perfectly crispy, top-notch ingredients, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Takeout is available, just minutes from Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can enjoy delicious pizza as the sun sets with a beautiful view. Highly recommended. We've been back several times and tried the various pizzas...all fabulous...the best thing is the tomato sauce, truly worthy of applause. Bravo, Dario, you continue to amaze us with the unique flavors you offer every time we come. It's become a regular stop! We also tried the new Deliziosa pizza...the burrata and pesto are amazing!! And to finish, the homemade tiramisu is a must!!...and for those who want, they also offer personalized t-shirts.

09/11/2025: We went to Trattoria La Gargotta for dinner and lunch. The place was beautiful, the staff very welcoming, kind, attentive, and professional. Excellent cuisine, and the chef was brilliant. He delighted us with delicious local dishes, such as pici with duck ragù, ricotta and spinach gnudi with butter and sage, pumpkin cream soup, and beef stew sautéed with onion. Kudos to the owner, who, despite the place being packed both days, managed to find us a table without hesitation. The laurino was delicious! See you next time!

The staff is fantastic, dedicated, and helpful. We fell in love from the first impression and always return when we're nearby. I recommend it 100% 😃

A glass of Chardonnay, a carefully crafted cocktail, delicious platters, and a lively atmosphere make you feel at home. But the best part is discovering it in the morning too: at 6 a.m., amidst the still silence of the market, one of the few places still open welcomes you with a hot cappuccino to start your workday off on the right foot. A place that's perfect for every moment of the day.

22/10/2025: Terrible service Waited for an hour, nothing happened. After a while, I went out to get some air and accidentally saw how it was all done. Lost my appetite. Standed up and left. I don't recommend it.

22/09/2025: Fantastic, unique experience. Dario is an engaging showman, and a talented chef and butcher. Highly recommended. You damn well better love copious amounts of raw and barely cooked yet world class beef! Considering all the Chianti straw bottle wine you can drink and delicious first and second courses, €50 per person could be the best restaurant deal in Italy.

19/10/2025: We started with crostini and a complimentary glass of wine. The appetizers were good but not too generous. Grilled meat: their forte. The fillet steak was amazing. Good mid- to high-end wines. Dessert was nothing special. Excellent service and top-notch hospitality. Highly recommended for meat.

27/10/2025: A restaurant hidden away at the end of an alley, a place that makes you want to turn around but from which you won't want to leave once you're inside. Very pleasant staff who seat you as if you've been there forever. Excellent pasta (vongole and seafood) and cacciucco livornese also excellent. Homemade desserts are a must-try. The cook comes around the tables to see if her cooking suits you. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return there on my next visit to Livorno.

02/09/2025: Great atmosphere and lovely food, the service a bit of a hit and miss, definitely not as good as it should be with me having to prompt the staff for suggestions! Their house wine is super good and great value for money for a Morellino. Pappardelle are good and so is the pecorino with truffle. The tagliata was ok. Expensive for what it is hence the overall rating

26/10/2025: I'm giving it four stars because I don't like tarring everyone with the same brush. But considering the beautiful setting and the good food, it's embarrassing that so many people are serving. The waiter immediately attacked us while we were ordering, repeatedly responding rudely and abruptly. Only when we pointed out that he should be less rude, that his service was paid for, and that otherwise we would have left (a table of 11 people), did he apologize and indulge in excessive bowels. Antonio, take a day off!

11/10/2025: We were here for dinner for two. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, creative, and beautifully presented. The homemade bread with the special orange butter was also delicious. A real recommendation!

17/10/2025: We like to thank the staff at La Madia for their incredible service, most specially Ryan who took care of us on October 15. We came back tonight , October 16 and brought our priest and Her Excellency Lieutenant of the Dames and Knights of the Holy Sepulcher. We were here in Firenze for 3 days from the US for the Jubilee Year Pilgrimage. We just chanced on LaMadia walking back to our Hotel the other night. The pasta and seafood were excellent and the service even better. We'd sure recommend your place to our friends who'll be visiting Firenze in the future! Thank you very much!!!
